Joe Strummer- Punk Rock Warlord Felt sad in the movie "Let It Rock" when Joe was handing out tickets on the street getting people to come to his show - like he couldnt even give them away. The man should have been huge man, huge but he reallly did touch people in a way that words cant explain and Strummerville carries on his calling in the very way (i think) he would like. This version is second only to Jimmy Cliff's and that's how Joe would want it. Back to The Spliff Bunker now!
I say Joe fill in for Shane McGowen of the Pogues at the Palladium in NYC in the 90's. How fuckin' cool that was. Joe knew every lyric of the Pogues and sang as if were an Irishman himself. RIP brother!
i'm from 1961. i know jimmy cliffs version, later joe jacksons version. this version beats em all. if joe was still alive, he would have taken bruce springsteens place, haha.
love ya Joe r.i.p
F***ing Brilliant 🎸🎸🎸💯💯💯💯💯🎸🎸
The mescarleros were a studio perfect band. they would nail that material. Joe was doing something great here.
