I use mine for mobile djing. The fly cases help with noise dampening from feedback and Phase system makes a difference as well since I don’t have to worry about needle jumps.
Hello ! You have a new subscriber! I have had a mk7 silver for 2 years and they are perfect, 2 weeks ago I bought a Formula sound FF2.2l and the set gives me an AMAZING sound. I am listening to my favorite songs with sounds and details that I had never heard before. I also have an Ortofon mk2, like yours, they have an incredible sound. I calibrate them with a test disk and so that they are perfect, both the azithmut and the antiskeiting go with a weight of 2.5 g with a digital weight and a tracking force from 3 , ha and the arm height to "0". What weight and tracking force do you use for the best sound quality without damaging your previous vinyls. Do you think it's worth spending €800 on an Elite ortofon? You have a great selection of musical themes and good technique. All the best.

La Formula Sound que has comprado es un auténtico tanque, sonido excelente asegurado! Muy buena compra. Ahora mismo no recuerdo la calibración exacta, pero si que suelo variar el peso entre 1.5g / 2g, dependiendo del disco. Las alturas, antiskating etc, suelo calibrarlo cada año más o menos. Si haces una buena calibración y no mueves los equipos del estudio, no deberías tener problemas de calibración. Sobre el tema de las agujas, las club mk2 son muy buena opción dentro del catálogo de ortofon. No creo que necesites unas elite. A no ser que te vayas a dedicar a capturar discos a máxima calidad Hi-Fi, con las elite tendrás mayores frecuencias. Espero haberte ayudad, pero recuerda que esto que te cuento es mi humilde opinión :P Un saludo!

Oldskool boy me gustan las mezclas largas. Hace años que no toco unos platos y todos mis amigos me dicen que ni loco me pille unos MK7, pero he leído y escuchado muy buenas cosas sobre el pitch digital de los MK7 y que aguantan la mezcla mucho mejor…. Pues mi opinión bien sincera es que vayas a por unos MK7 sin pensarlo (y si la economia lo permite), el tacto que tienen son un gustazo, el pitch es bastante mas preciso que los mk2. El platter es también otro punto positivo que me encanta, tiene un pequeña rebaba plana, parecida a los acura, te permite afinar mejor la mezcla, para mi gusto un acierto. El cableado mucho más cómodo que los mk2. En mi caso he tenido varios mk2 durante muchos años y la diferencia con los mk7 es bastante grande, se nota la evolución y mejoras. Aunque el mk7 tenga algunos acabados no tan robustos, para mi, es un pedazo de plato. Además te acostumbras a lo bueno tan rápido, que me pongo con unos mk2 y en seguida extraño los mk7 jajaja Espero que te aclare algo mi opinión! Ya me cuentas :)

Parts could become an issue as well not to mention cost since sellers will be trying to ramp up the prices due to demand. Used prices are already more than MSRP of the brand new ones I bought back in 2006.

I like the new technics 1200 mk7. I use this for very long mixing. The pitch ist fine and hold the speed. 🙂

Are they good to mix on the technics? I have considered them but not sure about digital pitch.
