You are really into these old horror movies. Lol. Tbh, I'm just happy to see you so enthused, as to that I'm into these older horror films. Only black n white film/TV I watch is the Three Stooges.
Why are vampire movies so dominate it the horror genre. I read somewhere it was because of the sexual overtones of the character. Though vampires are more complex, sometimes portrayed as emotionally tortured, I do understand the extra layer of appeal.
U can blame religious fanatics, for the lack of " violence" in older movies. Hell, it wasn't until the late 60's where production companies and directors n writers just went against the status quo . That is y I assume there's " no bite marks or biting" in this movie.
People in the catholic and baptist church wrote up the guidelines for the Hays Code. It’s crazy how much hold they had on the studio system. When your main goal is to make money I guess you’ll do almost anything. Thank you for your comments.

The Three Stooges where some of the first films I watched that got me into a lot of older stuff. Them, Laurel and Hardy and the Our Gang shorts.
