- Joe Rogan and Luke Thomas discuss UFC welterweight Gilbert "Durinho" Burns world class BJJ and evolved striking under trainer Henri Hooft. Gilbert is scheduled to fight for the title next against former teammate Kamaru Usman.
Gilbert Alexander Pontes Burns, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and submission grappler who currently competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As a grappler, Burns is a three-time World Champion and World Cup gold medalist.

I agree. The only grappler that I could think of that'd be confident enough to take Maia/Oliveira/Burns/Werdum/Jacare down, would be someone as world class as Khabib
The way Gilbert escaped out the back door against Maia was so beautiful, the most impressive part of his performance in that fight in my opinion even more impressive than the finish.

I think it will turn into another striking match. Once a couple rounds go by there going to be so sweaty. Jujitsu will go out the window just because Usman is so strong. I think Gilbert has a great chance though of pulling off the upset
