I met him in person and him and the rest of the guys were the coolest guys Ive ever met. They love to talk and hang with their fans. The whole band was just a bunch of really chill, laid back guys. I would totally recommend seeing them live. One of the best shows Ive been to other than Metallica of coarse lol.
is very sound. It's so great that his playing is based on classical music. That's so awesome for him and means so much. It's so descriptive of his playing quality

the riffs in this is where it ends are like any other core band, frans' solo stuff is pretty original though. i liked ASP with chris though

His solo work is incredible. As for playing with All Shall Perish - I've only heard Divine Illusion but already the solo has so much more feel than any of the stuff Chris Storey used to do - he was all about speed which gets boring fast. Looking forward to the new ASP album fo sho!

Go and check out the new ASP record. It's definitely their best! Chris might be faster but Francesco writes more musical stuff and it's fitting better to the mood of each song! Chris is amazing but Francesco is doing a better job in ASP to my mind!
@planetofzeus Not only that, it has more power. It's like a David Gilmour solo, it doesn't need to be super fast to be awesome. Either way, this dude has skill.
ASP and Born of Osiris are pretty different i find, both bands have a unique style and sound

does this guy has any idea on Quantum Tunneling? I hope his stuff explain how the electrons tunnel through some barrier but it doesn't. I guess they pulled some notes out of the phrygian harmonic minor scale and realized they made no sense, "Let's google for some cool scientific term!' fml

Not really. Im a guitarist, and dont confuse speed for sloppiness. Chris is extremely technical. Hes actually too technical, melodic, and progressive for the direction ASP wanted to go in. Hes also younger than Francesco.

Why is everyone hating this guy?? Go look at All Shall Perish's Fucking channel and tell me that its not better than Chris Story, dont get me wrong Chris fucking rocked, but this guy is just a better musician. (Im a guitar player so I have more inspiration to a true musician rather than one that can only shred with a little other skill)

Seriously? you guys think frans is better than chris?
just look how chris constructed the riffs and the solos in AtD, they were AMAZINGLY creative and good. Frans is also fast and can sweep, but thats it. Look how he constructed the riffs in This is Where It Ends and notice that its just like any other riffs from other bands.
Bottomline: Chris can do everything Frans can but not the other way around.
Those scales he uses are diminished (to be)

Storey is good, Artusato even better. Jason Richardson is a god though. That guy is a phenomenon.
all chris storey does is shred scales incredibly fast, thats it. francesco is a better guitarist, musician and song writer. if you don't believe me listen to "the past will haunt us both" off of the new ASP album. ASP is a better band without chris, Smashface (which i love) suits chris' style of play more than ASP.

that's not true at all. You can't compare them because they're completely different, Frencesco doesn't have the speed and creativity that chris had.

the band is still good, just no where near as good as they were previously.
Now, he's not a bad guitarist, don't get me wrong.

People need to stop comparing Chris and Francesco. There's not even anything to compare. Chris is fast... Francesco is much better of a guitarist in every other sense.

Chris Storey is faster than this guy. But this guy is better in pretty much every other aspect of guitar. Shredding is fun and impressive yeah, but thats not all there is to guitar. No one wants to listen to shredding all the time.

Someone take this guy's PRS away and give him a squier. Even if he doesn't shred his playing is far too mediocore.
