I thought there was something supernatural about Dean. The later drummers were like machines or transformers but Dean was human, but supernatural. Live, his drumming blew me away
For the little punk-ass kid I was, going to these guys' shows was some serious shit. Very intense. Poison Idea, Dead Moon, Napalm Beach, The Wipers (in absentia by the late 80s), all gave Portland's music scene some powerful credibility. Portland was all about blues bands at the time (maybe it still is).
first time I saw PI was in 85 or 86 at the starry night in portland growing up in the 80's and 90's in portland or we had some of the greatest fucking shows/bands/clubs I remember the MDC show with the skinheads busting thru the door trying to start a fight hahahahaha good fucking times good fucking fights
One band I regret I never got a chance to see. I heard they only played Portland. Then like many, many years back there was a rumor they were gonna be playing a New Years show in my hometown of San Antonio and I told my friend to stop fucking lying! The next day I heard they played a small, shack of a club to a few people and they tore the whole place down! My friend told me and still to this day, that that was the best show he has ever seen!!! bostoncrew82 I like your Larm headliner! They rule!
Pig Champion had the best guitar sound and style ever! Instantly recognizable.
Sick show, awesome setlist...this should be a live album for sure... sounds great!
STOP LAUGHING 🔥🔥🔥

Besides Jerry's hat, Pig had a nice haircut and was playing well.
The pig with short hair?...GODDAMN!

Standing near Tom's amp was like standing in front of a Mac truck. My only regret is not going to more of their shows.
