Many times, we hold on to that which no longer serves us. Sometimes the next best step is to take the lessons we’ve learned an move on. Often times, it is much easier said than done. This song has hit me deeply and helped renew my commitment to continue to grow and evolve
Sometimes there is no lesson to be learned sometimes you were facilitating someone elses lesson. Sometimes we hold onto pain for years looking for a lesson or building an identity out of the trama we survived. In the end the only thing that matter is will you choose to allow the universal love of the universe to overtake everything else you identify with.
This is my absolute favorite song on the album... and that you’ve ever done...and that I have ever heard. Congrats. You are really hitting raw lately, Trevor. Wow, this really spoke to me. I'm going through a breakup with someone I still care for deeply. Hearing this helped me understand the frailty of our human condition. I am not living the same old story and am processing things through the eye of love. I'm realizing that I must honor the divinity in everything and every one. Ahhhh...... The first time I heard this, I had a different genre station on Pandora. I was in a dark place as I was trying to make some tough decisions to walk away from someone. This song came on out of no where and put me in tears.. I felt the message as almost it was given by spirit. Hit my heart and soul deep!!

as i've played it out, it was all in my own head, desperately holding on with both my hands...this coarse rock that didn't want me, so beautiful it was, but i abused it and held on too tight, i crushed this beautiful rock in between my own two hands. i hold on now to the responsibility of my wrong doings to something so beautiful. I had put myself first, and i wish to be better, to celebrate happiness even upon my own despair. I was so selfish... i am going to take this crushed mold...and turn it into something beautiful, a wonderful start

It means to me that although the hurt already happened, the fire is still burning you inside because you have not let the hurt go. You may have the physical injury to show but the the inner hurt that you experienced is still as present as before.
