    I love it when the teacher does expository teaching. And Pastor Gary when you are a slow reader and do not always comprehend well, the most important gift I have had is to persevere with my reading and studying of God’ s Word has been committed to learn as much as I can. about my Savior and have also learned to LOVE the whole counsel of God.

    Jesus fully understood what He was asking of His followers even if they didn’t. He knew they were going to get beat up mentally, physically, and spiritually to the point that they would want to quit or retaliate. He wasn’t teaching them to be politically correct, he was acknowledging that even though they were going to face severe adversity that it would be worth it in the end. He was fortifying them spiritually in the calm before the storm. He wasn’t telling them what quality traits He expected them to have.

    My bible study group is actually going through the Sermon on the Mount right now, and something that was mentioned is that what we read may actually just be the cliff notes version of the whole sermon. Jesus likely said a lot more and gave a full sermon, but the most important parts of the sermon were written down for us to have. This also makes sense if you consider that the gospel of Matthew was likely passed down through oral tradition before being written down much later (google says 70 CE is when it was written), so it makes sense that a lot of what Jesus said was lost to history, but the core message and most important parts survived. Honestly, I hope that when we get to heaven we'll have the opportunity to hear the whole sermon.

    Mat5:6 thirst and hunger for righteousness, and shall be filled can be better understood and appreciated from Heb5:13-14
    "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
    But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
    The disciple of Christ is a mature son of Yah, full of age. This person has a good sense to discern between good and evil to support his upright and righteous life, emulating the Lord Jesus and Yah, who is holy.
    Of course, underpinning this life of righteousness is the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, who justifies us with His righteousness (Rom4/5).
    But the focus of Mat6 is about righteous living and being filled with the strong meat of the Word of righteousness that supports righteous living.

      Hey Judy, I just wanted to say it had started some time ago and recently started to accelerate. I am referring to the Supreme Court taking away our right to pray in public schools as an offical, our right to teach our children what the scriptures teach us publicly. The military, government and public schools trying to force Christians to accept deviant behavior as morally right. Lower courts trying to force their ethics on us. If you are a believer allow the Holy Spirit to show you and warn you of this.

    Just want to correct something Gary said that is factually wrong but is not heresy. He said the first 10 years from the moment Jesus started His ministry, all believers in Jesus have only been Jews. This is wrong. The centurion who came to Jesus to ask Jesus to heal his slave. The woman at the well who was a Samaritan and the people in her village who believed in Christ. One of the 10 lepers who were healed of their leprosy. The thief on the cross who believed in Jesus. These are just some of the Gentiles who believed in Jesus during His ministry.

    • @ruturata901
      @ruturata901 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think Gary knows that. What I heard was him saying "In the early church". I understood this as meaning they did not allow gentiles "in the church". To me this meant specifically the early church only allowed Jews and later changed to allow all believers in the church. The centurion and the Samaritan even though they believed would have not yet been allowed in the Jewish church...which was sad.

    • @MrBobBaril
      @MrBobBaril 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The other Reply is correct.
      The "Church" began on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. Those Gentiles in the Gospels MAY have been Believers or even Disciples but they technically were NOT the Church until after the Resurrection of Christ and on the Day of Pentecost.

    It’s frustrating to see these social justice preachers turn even the encouraging words of the Beatitudes into the trite admonition to “serve God by serving others”.
    Jesus fully understood what He was asking of His followers even if they didn’t. He knew they were going to get beat up mentally, physically, and spiritually to the point that they would want to quit or retaliate. He wasn’t teaching them how to be politically correct, he was acknowledging that even though they were going to face severe adversity that it would be worth it in the end. The Sermon on the Mt. is a Self Transformation within Oneself (very beautiful). Transcending from separation false self to Oneness (Christ) Consciousness. These 8 blessings (self realization) needs to come from within you. This is a pathway (map) Jesus (Yeshua) is telling the masses where to find his teachings (the Christ), not all will understand this. The Christ is not an actual person it's Consciousness through a person (state of being, union, oneness). A Rebirth, to go beyond the mind of the ego, from the false self of this created reality to the awareness of your true self of being, without attachments, identifications, judgement. Just I Am (consciousnessly exsisting). He found this, He tapped in, tuned in, turned on, to this field of energy (the father) Source. So Jesus (Yeshua) is recognizing those people who Transformed themselves. Because they awakened to the Truth. Be the Christ, this is what Jesus (Yeshua) is telling us. That your Kingdom of God or Heaven is in you NOW. You are always in union with GOD from your beginning. It never left us... God Bless.

      @rickdebello We are all Gods (expression of God's thoughts it Logo's). The Chirst will return in everyone individually & soon through our Consciousness (the great awakening). It is actually happening now slowly then there will be a massive shift where we will remember our true self 'I am" = eternally Consciously Exsisting. We are all holy spirit ( pure energy) we never die, only continue transform into something else over & over until we evolve back to Source (God).

    God's speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven a coming Millennial period when God sets His Kingdom here on earth, a promise to restore and heal the Nation of Israel; The Jews. The Kingdom of Heaven in Matt. 5 (Beatitudes) is addressed to the Jews for the Jews to establish such fulfillment as prophesied and promised for God's Nation in the Millennium. This message is not intended for the Church, nor is it addressing the Heavenly Kingdom for the Church. There are two main categories God addresses in His Oracles and that is the Church and the Jews. Rightfully dividing scriptures as God rightfully divides, He makes known to whom He is speaking to by identifying the right time periods for these major groups. God bless! 🙌

    The Beatitudes in Matthew 5 are in reference to applications for the Millennial Kingdom on Earth meant for the Jews.
    Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
    Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    The 'kingdom of heaven' was the earthly ministry Jesus preached to Jews, for the Jews. These verses are about the Millennial Kingdom when Jesus rules the earth.
