Age is literally just a number we humans made up. I think Son takes really good care of himself his actual physicality age is no different than an average mid-late 20s
Also we cant forget he played every single game mostly full time for tottenham and korea plus all the flights + jetlags which seems to go unnoticed by most
Imagine if Son actually had balls fed to him as a Striker and kept his xg vs goal ratio. It’ll be gg for everyone
Son is not just a counter-attack player. he also can deliver a long-range shot with both feet even outside of the penalty box. The Ange ball never allows him to shoot from a distance. Just count how many times he shoots during a game. it's just two or three because both Wings and other teammates shoot themselves more times than him. look how he plays in the national team. he scores a lot of long-range shots and freekicks. I don't know why Spurs never allow him to do those freekicks. Spurs Sonny and National team Sonny is a totally different player.
to play Son in centre, midfielders should be strong enuf to dominate. since Madders gone out of his form with as well as Bissouma, Son cant do much vs their 5 back. he gets surrounded by 3 of them almosy every time he gets the ball. and post play is absolutely not wat hes good at
Sonny will work as a central striker with a strong midfield and someone who can feed balls to him. He loses the ball too much when defenders pressure him so he can't do it on his own.

I believe last game was the first time Son has been substituted mid-game since early days with Poch. Is that due to Son with his 0.0 xG or is it Angeball? Son simply does not perform when surrounded by two centrebacks either side of him. We all know that. Also Maddison passing to Son then running directly into him to lose the ball for the first goal was more bizarre than Werner smashing Son when Son was well outside of the goal.
Striker against high line teams but shift him to winger at the first sight of a low block team or when their central striker is cutting back to help defending or to catch long balls. Just one small adjustment is enough for me imo, to consider a Plan B. Little patchy but if it works, it works. Also Biss needs to stay with VDV and Romero. Can’t risk him pushing too far ahead, lose the ball and have to cut back quickly with our only 2 CB’s fighting for their lives, evident from the Newcastle game…
Wasted on the lest ,right ore no 9 ,without game changers in midfield ,players that can't feed Son that give his all ,all the time ,is a no brainer

He’s above all an inside forward from the left. To maximise his output we need a top striker in the middle with good passing and link-up play. I feel someone like Goncalo Ramos in the middle would be ideal for Son on the left.

He’s a striker. He’s in bad form and needs a rest. Last month we were talking about how improved he was with his link up play and back to goal. He needs to shoot more often

With our current squad I would have him on the left against low-block teams so he can be more involved and richarlison works a lot better as a traditional 9 against lower blocks. For more attacking teams (especially with back 4s) he plays so much better in the middle and has great chemistry with madison. In the summer I would love spurs to get a decent left winger (keep werner as a squad player) to alleviate the focus off son. His best games under ange have been as a 9 which is where he should be against arsenal.
The key when we play low block we cannot score because when we play low block we need half backs can shoot the ball outside 20 yard, 25 yard and none of those half back can shoot that far and that’s why we can’t score or opportunity. We don’t have it in the both wing cannot crossed the ball and midfield can shoot and It doesn’t matter.
Sarr or Bentancur need to play closer to Son in the box, Son is always alone in the box .. so the defense can worry about other players
Just need to start putting in the shots, and making the keeper work . Sonny is better off the wing vs low block , a CF when the play is more open and on quick transitions . Need a big strong lad up top against low block , with Richi injured again , this is why was calling for a player like Evan Ferguson, and still think he can be a good fit? Branthwaite,Gallagher,Eze and Ferguson, my fab four players that will revolutionize this squad into proper contenders. IMO.
People forget just how sub standard Pep’s first season in the prem was. City started well and then fell away badly. City had to spend a ridiculous amount to rebuild that squad to get where they are. This is Ange’s first year with this squad and there is a lot of work to be done to change players both in terms of signings but also players getting used to this system
with the way ange has them playing cancels out the no 9 n with the players we have n with richie not being able to play wing,, we dont really have a choice do we. son is the only left winger that is able to spread the defence. when werner plays wing, the defence r centraly boxed
Definitely, feel like he is a more natural fit at the inverted left forward position, where he can pickup the out ball deeper and attack the defender 1-on-1. He has the finishing of a striker, but he doesn't have the hold up, link up and off ball movement of a true #9. When he plays up top, in compressed space with multiple defenders around him, he gets isolated too much and starved of service. I rather shift the physical dirty work to Richarlison, and free up Sonny.
Sure. Now have to prepare for a future without him, so Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and all the other games will have to be played without him, right? need to sell him for a single game. The shift in attitude from evaluating him as aging to needing to sell him is truly surprising.
Richarlison has to start, on the wing or at the helm with Son in the opposite position. Johnson or Kulu on the right.
I find it difficult to understand that the unstoppable 3 of biss-madd-sarr have dropped form so much since the beginning of the season. I think Spurs intial boom has been countered by the opposition, we need to look at management and tactics to get them back to their best.
Ange subbing him and conceding 2 more goals shows the issue isn’t him. That for me if I was son is a red flag to leave this club.

Kate nailed it,this is a club that has such a weak team that everything falls on 1 or 2 players,Son is a wide player.The only reason he is down the middle is Richy is either injured or recovering from same and not getting a chance.
Next thing u know, Sonny will move on to play for either Arsenal or Chelsea next season and he will torture our idiot fanbase the rest of his career with each goal for Chelsea or Arsenal…..😂
He should move back to the wing where he can move in space with Werner as a back up and then richy through the middle for now and we buy a proper striker in the summer

Just a reminder that Newcastle beat PSG 4-1 earlier in the season. PSG just went through to the CL semi final beating Barca 4-1. With that in mind can we stop having a meltdown over the last game. Spurs fans have been embarrassing this week.

fans are acting like we lost 4-0 to burnley, this is a building season, lost the clubs best player and we are in a top 4 race. everyone at the start of the season wouldve been stoked for a top 6 finish and now everyone is freaking out. Ange has got richarlison and werner putting up numbers and some people still doubt him.

Why not bring back Veliz from his loan (since he isn't getting much needed minutes there) and try him for the center forward spot against low block teams with Sonny at the left? We did bring him onto the team because we think he has potential right? Why waste his youth on a loan that doesn't play him?
I think for the next few games play sonny center and Richarlison on the left. Then for the final 2 (Burnley and Sheffield) play Richarlison center.
Son on left rich in the center kulu or Johnson on right but I don’t see ange dropping werner I’d have Santiago on the bench and if their not doing it I’d bring him on no hesitation

Son is a counter attack player and is only usefull in those game . He is 6/10 in other type of games, he lack skills in 1 on 1 situations Son is all about speed. Use him as a super sub from now on, he isnt a player for the future. I want Ange to more brave in his team selection or is it in Maddison and Son contract that they are guaranteed to start? .

the korean news reported that the great romero n ritchie n vanderben n werner n brennan n the whole team excluding kulu n maddie went to son and asked him to stay after he was changed in the 50th min of the castle game... son has said that he has not been happy with the spurs since conte, it has been mentioned that maddie always wants to be in the spotlight n got jealous since son always is in the news...i can understand this from kulu since he is not getting the play minutes but maddison is just a egotistical person at heart. he is a cancer to the team when he is in this mode. i hope maddison grows up n learns sacrifice for the team. i knew their was an internal struggle after watching the newcastle game,, they dont just drop off that much from nothing.. thanks to maddison, son will probably be leaving for another team. enjoy captaincy maddison1 yah right like ur getting it with your selfish behavior. ange would be stupid to give maddie the C. i just wish romero could move with sonny cause korea loves the brazilians n the great romero.
