His worst game so far as the starter. He still good enough to feel like you still can win easy on his worst days. The programs future looking bright after all this experience for next year. Go Gators 🐊 Taking DJ over anyone.
Wasn't really his worst game as the players around him weren't really helping him out. He had a few missed reads and a few overthrows, but overall seemed pretty solid. Even Napier said they have to play well around him in the press conference.
Not his best game statistically but I think the potential that you see is what makes him most exciting. Pocket presence is great. Goes through multiple reads. Doesn't take his eyes from down field. Loves the deep ball and is accurate with it. All of this as a true freshman. The fact that he isn't a "one read and escape the pocket" guy this early in his career is amazing and if he continues to develop the sky is the limit for him.
Too bad the quality was off because that throw to Dike was pretty amazing as he just dropped it in there over the DB. The first play avoiding the sack was just stupid. I mean that lineman was good and Lagway just told him to sit down then made his throw. Thing that's really great about Lagway is he is playing like he already has a year or two of experience. Totally in control, not streaky or whatever. Our oline play was terrible and he had receivers dropping balls or running the wrong routes and he fought through all that with poise.
Thanks for watching! And yes, so sorry about the quality of the video. And you are right, that throw to Dike may have been one of his most impressive throws of the season, and he has had a lot of impressive throws!
This game might have been Lagway's worst game as a starter. Don't know if his hamstring was bothering him since it was cold but he didn't have that zip on a lot of throws that he usually does. Also missed an easy wide open TD to Badger where he threw a fast ball from close. He did have some drops or his percentage would have been higher. He did a really nice job of avoiding the rush and getting the ball out. Overall he didn't need to do much in this game since FSU basically gave the game away with their fumbles (they put it on the ground 8 times and UF recovered 5 of them). Run game was solid which always helps a young QB. Good job with the DEE-KAY pronunciation. The Gators will have to hit the transfer portal to replace Badger and DIke at WR although any WR should want to play with Lagway.
Thanks for watching and totally agree. Great points about how FSU basically gave the game away. Yes, I would imagine some talented wide outs will want to come play with Lagway next year!
what did you think about Lagway's performance vs FSU?
I appreciate you doing these videos on UF. Thanks.
I really appreciate you watching! Thank you!
He's getting the experience he needs for next year. We're at LSU, Miami, and Ole Miss.
Thanks for watching! Huge games ahead next year, already looking forward to 2025, but will be working on some good offseason content!

Great points, really like the point you made about him going through his multiple reads! Thanks for watching!

Not A great game for our offensive line. We had a starter out injured but the future looks very bright for DJ and the Florida Gators!
Agreed! Bright future, thanks for watching!
I was at the game, it seemed like he was putting a little too much mustard on the ball, could be his hammy still bothering him a bit
Thanks for watching! Glad he has time to rest the hammy completely!
