- We want to challenge you to look closely into these three Rare Doitsu Shiro Utsuri Japanese koi and pick your absolute favorite! If you could only pick one, which one would you add to your collection? Through this exercise, we will teach you what to look for when selecting a high-quality fish using mature two-year-old specimens. I liked the 3rd one from the get -go! ...even with the his head being a little yellowy for now. As the fish grows will the triangle shape fill out (becoming less triangular)?

what if a person tried to push the koi out of the water?
No2 is not my pick from these 3 Koi, the reason is that the Sumi isnt balanced, I like koi that are balanced in color, so the Sumi must be 50% on each side.
also the no2 has one black fin and one white.. again, lack of good balance !
no 1 would be my pick, a good balance and there is more to come.
