hello sir still i am getting error what can i do now?like you said all changes has been done but still getting error.
there was an error like that and I fixed it, but now it's error again...and how do I fix it again because I've done that method and it's running fine but the error appears again..
but this is crap. what if i want to use port 80 and 443 m8? why the solution is change ports? that is not a solution to the issue to me...

The only way to solve this and not give you problems is to buy a new hard drive and install the xampp with nothing more than that, because using the xampp on a hard drive where you have (as happened to me) games, audio programs, programs like discord, zoom, because of my work, it will not allow me to know which program is using port 80 which is what the port refers to error. I spent 1 week trying to find the solution and formatting I installed only the xampp it worked for me. I recommend buying a small hard drive to work only with xampp so you don't have this annoying error

when i click save, why i always directed to "save as"option and i gotta save my edited config. theres an error when i replace the httpd.conf "you do not have permission to open this file" what should i do now?
or should i reinstall my xampp?

how is the path to LOCALHOST now? i've typed localhost and received 404 error
we can get this by changing only the 443 port bcoz in my case 8080 port needs to get use by tomcat

For anyone in the future, here are the folder locations (assuming xampp is installed in the default directory, if not navigate to where the xampp folder is and follow the directions from there): httpd.conf => 'C:\xampp\apache\conf' and httpd-ssl.conf => 'C:\xampp\apache\conf\extra'.

Where did you save the txt file bro? When i click config then change it and click on save it doesn't just save it goes to save as

If someone not getting help from this just change user control setting search in run uac>do not notify when program changes and click ok. Now you will be able to use xmapp server

For me, Windows 11 just changed the disk letter where I stored XAMPP. I fixed it through typing "Disks and volumes" in the Windows search and changing the disk letter back to its previous character.

@@jhoncaesarfuntanar7317 Well, I didn't expect these much people to have the same exact problem because I thought I was the only one who installs XAMPP in a different disk lol.
Before I proceed, did you install XAMPP in any other disk other than C? If so, then this solution might be for you. Otherwise, nope.
1. First thing, go to your "xampp" folder --> apache --> conf --> open httpd.conf
2. Look for "Define SRVROOT" and check the first letter of the path and remember it. In my case, it was X:/
3. Does XAMPP exists in a disk with a different letter? If so, remember that letter too. Let's say Y:/ for me
We need to change Y:/ back to X:/ like it was. But you're probably different than me so remember your own letters.
4. Right click on Windows --> Settings --> Storage --> Advanced storage settings --> Disks & volumes --> click on your XAMPP disk from step 3 --> click on Properties --> Change driver letter --> choose the letter of step 2 --> Ok
Now they match each other. Done.
Windows 11 automatically changed for me the disk letter where I installed XAMPP after upgrading so I changed it back from the settings like I told you now.
