@@rickg-funk3144, Cool. What's wrong with the old valve cover? I'm fixing up my youngest daughter's first car, an old 2005 Aveo hatchback passed down from her oldest daughter. So far I've restored the break system (new rotors, drums, pads, shoes, springs, piston, cylinders, etc), replaced the radiator and hoses, replaced all the fluids, restored the headlight lenses, replaced all the lamp sockets in the rear lights and added brighter LED lights, replaced both side mirrors, and am currently replacing the four door handles. The mirrors and the handles came unpainted and are black I just applied 2K spray can clear coat to protect them from the sun. It has been some fun few months showing her how to fix and maintain a car.
@@rickg-funk3144 Waiting on a quote from a local auto body shop. It's mostly just annoying opening the door from the passenger side. And not rolling down the window.
Not that big a deal. I replaced the driver door handle a few months ago with an eBay cheapass handle for about $11 on my 2011 Aveo5. Just gotta reconnect the rods correctly.
Middle of January snaps handle , that k you for helping my broke ass fix it myself

2005 aveo, same broken handle. Although it was only broken internally before the tire shop forgot that I told them that it only opens from the inside.

10mm socket for the door handle.
