Hey Frosty, what if anything, do you think needs to be changed about the Bandit Rifle? Think they just need to add descope? Change the firing sound? Add a scope? Get rid of the recoil?
In my opinion, a slightly higher fire rate would make it great.
@@daveyjones7391 I think the fire rate is fine, maybe a tiny increase... I think the recoil needs to be reduced or straight up removed. I'd also like to see a Halo 5 style ADS option instead of smart scope zoom or whatever.
I agree with both of you guys but I’d like it if they tightened the reticle up. Make it more risky like the sniper but at least make it pay off more at medium range engagements. I hate losing fight because I’m bad but also because the reticle is so damn big. The bullets are going everywhere.

Ranked is just the modern term for Team Hardcore that has existed since Halo 2. Its roots are there. Ranked is for the hardcore fans that want to play with settings that emphersise skill. But don't kid yourself into some god complex of believing it starts and stops with you Pros. I love the hell outta HCS and and all here for all y'all guys. But don't spread weird shit.

How can these pros not see that they are like .0001 percent of the total player base? I love HCS as well and watch them even though I don’t actively play Halo anymore. Their incessant whining and crying really gets old.

I find it weird that everyones happy to say "bandit starts would be perfect if they reworked the weapon a bit" but br's are just outright "not a good starting weapon" with no room for any reworking. I have said it since the beginning, if the br was harder to get kills with (much slower projectiles specifically but also a rejigging of the AA and magnetism) it would go back to being a great starting weapon without changing the flow of gameplay too drastically.

Fixing the games hit reg is a major priority, for sure, but the game's balancing (especially in the pro scene where it's often played in a LAN environment) is a completely separate issue.
I shouldn't have to list off all the other problems in the game when sharing my thoughts on a separate issue.
And for the record, if a game from 16 years ago had a successful competitive pro scene using a BR with slower projectiles then a game from 2021 is technological capable of doing so too with the right work put in.. Dunno how that's an unrealistic expectation.

I'm almost certain that 343 tryd fixing the "desync" issue by moving the hit box location of the player to dynamically move slightly in front on the players direction.. which is resulting in headshots not registering now.
something halo players need to accept:
- desync will always be an issue. always. unless movement is slowed down to make it feel less dramatic.
- desync has never been an issue for those who get the kill. and it looks correct. But for the player who dies it feels different becasue they are the "receiving end" of data. which is unavoidable.
- Visuals, character/story/lore, emotion, etc - should be the only thing 343 takes into consideration from the community. the people/community/general pup (exclude pros) should NOT influence 343's "technical" decisions in terms of gameplay (*strictly speaking about whether or not a gun should de-scope or not, remove sprint, etc. INSTEAD community should give feed back on things such as "movement feels slow, throwing a grenade instantly after beatdown doesn't feel right and should go back to the drawing board, etc. ).
stop telling 343 what to do, because it's killing halo. WHY? because 343 is simping for attention. they will do anything to win your heart over, because of cancel culture. and we have all the stupid halo content creators and ourselves to blame for it.

Ok so I have a few problems with bandit starts the pro all ready hate the sand box the bandit is weaker then the br as soon as we get bandit starts ever pro is going to start crying even more. Second the gun needs changes a scope and maybe like a touch faster fire rate and more ammo. also be for people start saying removing the sand box is good no if ranked/hcs becomes just bandit s7 and the other weapon and half the pros keep in the game becomes boring to play and even more boring to watch ranked and hcs are struggling all ready let's not kill the game
