Your 30 second "how the box works" explanation was more than ever I've learned in my life of fumbling with different electrical projects of which I've always gotten them to work but never knew why or what I was really doing. Thanks so much! (Got to the end and love that you admitted we do a lot of things we aren't supposed to lol) So tired of people doing everything by the rules on camera even though they really don't even know what they are doing in general. You are exactly the opposite and its so refreshing.... subscribed!
George, hello from Puerto Rico. In two short videos, you have helped me understand electrical circuitry and given knowledge and gain confidence to do my own all electrical home repairs. Thanks and Blessings
I'm only here to wire up my bandsaw and it is the follow up video from the fist one or two in the series. Never heard of this man but, he is FANTASTIC!
George did you ever make a video on wiring a PID for both a 240v and 120V receptacle in the same box like the one you showed in this video? I’d love to build one like that for the versatility. Thanks
Hey George, great vid keep em coming. My issue i have ran a 20 amp double pull breaker and 12/2 to the heater, daisy chain to the second. Had double pull thermostats in both, no heat. Wired direct no heat, Power is going through both but no heat ?Any ideas ?
As always useful information explained so everyone can understand could not have explained it any better and I worked for years repairing high voltage machinery.
Sir, you give me too much credit. I do appreciate the comment. You must be good at it since you are still kicking. High voltage usually only allows you one mistake. George
Thanks for the video. Gotta wire up my new Copy Lathe that has a three prong and calls for "one-phase 240" which seems like it might be a misnomer. One-phase is gonna be 120. ??
Guys there's a great electrical reference book out there that you can get online, Lowes, Home Depot etc... It's called Ugly's. Its got everything from sizing wire to bending conduit... good stuff
Wow I just did a GFCI install video and got ripped about multiple things, hope the same people don't find you putting breakers in a live powered box.. Lol they'll lose their minds! Brew or still on!! 👍🍻
Playing with electricity is not for stupid people! I would wire that circuit live but I have the tools and knowledge to do so. There is such a thing as back feed where a neutral or a ground can still knock the crap out of you so if you don't know what you are doing leave it to someone that does. We were having electrical issues in one of our taken over buildings in Iraq. Low and behold one hand was not talking to another. I had no idea that two generators was feeding the same building. I killed the generator that I knew was feeding the building then stuck my fat fingers in the breaker box and got the surprise of my life. Thank God it was AC power. Lesson learned. Never take for granted a circuit is dead! Always test it first!
Once again great video George, i was wondering if i can use a junction box and just junction the oven and an external plug for my still, now i know i cant use the oven and the still at the same time, but would it be safe
Show us how to plug into the 240 volt electric stove outlet or electric dryer outlet and the different type 3 and 4 prong plugs and how to install an off and on switch in the PID housing box.
Sorry for the delayed response. I was on vacation in Vegas for the past 5 days. Since 240 has 2 hot wires just as in a 120 V circuit the sensor (doughnut) only goes around one hot wire since it takes both the make 240 V. When energized the sensor senses total amperage (current) through the circuit. George

Best tutorial video yet! Super appreciate you taking the time to make it! Definitely subscribing!
George, I just got my computer repaired. THANK YOU mATT w.FOR YOUR GREAT VIDEOS!!!!!
now if you can get that keyboard fixed you'll be golden! lol
Very informative video! Thanks George!

Great video George, have a great Xmas and enjoy your holiday break with all the family!
Thanks for all these great videos George. Love watching them and im learning heaps :)

I always told my guys you only get one oops.
You got it.
Happy distilling
George
:@@BarleyandHopsBrewing Great job explaining how to wire a 240 Volt receptacle. Thank you

Smash that bell george cheers been enjoying your videos for some time now
I love these videos. Thanks
Thank you George!

I'm waiting. You are right. When ever I do one of these I do get quite a bit of advice and help afterwards but it is all good.
Thanks
@@BarleyandHopsBrewing lol I hear you.. I wire stuff hot all the time.. Shhh don't tell.anyone!! 👍🍻
Thank You
simple thanks george

Sure could.
So if I get an appliance from EU such as a dough mixer I can wire the outlet for 3 wire 240v?
I done it one time by accident and never knew how I done it thanks for showing me how I got 220from 110 I tried to do it again and failed so I stopped

do you not have to use a DFCI breaker ?
How much does one of these boxes cost put together
Early Christmas George Merry Christmas
Same to you and your family.
For most of us common people, please install breakers with the main off. Don't install breakers live, safety 1st folks.
Circuit breaker, not fuse. A fuse is something entirely different.
Thanks
how do you put a amp meter on 240 volt

miss ya George
sorry I meant GFCI breaker, I just saw the comment about the GFCI breaker wiring .iooking to watch the video.
