NoBody wants to do another bus after they get off the train because you miss one then you have to be standing around. People just want to get to the big full successful park and ride shown and get out of there home because real transit past that point is horrible again.
That just makes it inaccessible to anyone who can't drive there. Park and rides are almost never successful for that reason. Putting neighborhoods around stations leads to success.
@@moosesandmeese969 But TODs take forever and never get built due to costs. To make them viable the luxury housing (not low income housing always gets built into TODs) and it's never apartments for large families which would really benefit most from TODs with like 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and then the kids and parents can all use transit. Instead of the rich (who want more who want more parking) and can afford it choose not to because not enough space is available for all their cars, and low income don't qualify because they make too much to qualify as it's luxury apartments.

@@moosesandmeese969 the opposite TODs get built and sit empty because the rich don't want them but they are marketed for them and the poor do not qualify. Whereas Park and Rides allow people to avoid driving all the way to the crowded and congested downtown core. TODs when built look at the tons of Fort -Rent signs above because they cannot be filled up. That park and ride in the pictures which you say fail is full meaning many trips into the city centre have been avoided.
