The drums are 3 ply Classic Maple Ludwigs 14x26 bass drum, 10x14 rack tom, 16x16 floor tom, 16x18 floor tom, and a 6.5x14 Supraphonic snare drum with coated Remo Emperor heads on top and coated Ambassadors on the bottom and Emperors on the bass drum (no hole in the front head). Cymbals are Paiste 2002's at this time. They do sound great and this song grooves big time. If you listen closely, you can hear the Speed King foot pedal squeaking haha.
You need drums?!🥁Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick" is my suggestion. Any live version of this song for me is proof that John Bonham was, and still is one of GOAT on drums.. Oh, man..Just close your eyes if you can, and really HEAR... Hello from Serbia 🇷🇸! Love your reaction!❤
Bonham's snare was one inch deeper than others that he slapped instead of beat. The rest is a shuffle and dead stops and flowered with guitar flourish and vocal mastery.
Jimmy's got such a unique cadence to his strumming and note playing, perhaps I've lost my inner clock count now. They are so tight; guitar, drums, bass.
If I'm not mistaken, this record, a double album, came out back in 1975. I remember getting it back in high school. It contains tracks that never made it on previous albums from Zeppelin II to "Houses of the Holy". This was written as the title track for that record but left off for some reason. There are tracks specifically written for "Physical Graffiti" , Kashmir comes to mind first. About half of the songs were just hanging out waiting for their turn.
Grandioso Led Zeppelin!! Tal vez no es su mejor tema, pero fueron gigantes ❤ músicos talentosos, cuando no había tecnología. No por nada pertenecen a la famosa Trinidad Impía, junto a Deep Purple y Black Sabbath. Padres del metal!!
Bonham had Ludwig’s, but each piece were larger then most drummers. I know I saw a piece on the sizes he has, I’m sure you could google it. It’s actually not a large kit as far as a bunch of pieces. I’m not sure if it’s true, but I thought I heard, he played with the fat end of his sticks. He also always made sure they were tuned perfectly. He was the greatest drummer ever. If you haven’t seen his 20 minute solo at Earls Court, called Moby Dick, I highly recommend it, shows just how great he is.
I only watch Led Zeppelin reactions and why not they are my favourite band. I haven't seen you in a while and what happened to the both of you reactiing?
Yeeha!!! It's the GOATS!!! Here we go everybody!!! Chod please please please do a reaction to 10 Years Gone which is on this album, Physical Graffiti bro. You will NOT be disappointed. Thx man.
Hey Chod, change of subject, a group from the early 70s that you've missed & should listen to is Rare Bird, I suggest Beautiful Scarlet. It's the type of group you like, keyboard heavy. As you say, you won't be disappointed.
lol, this one was too easy for you. I can't stop laughing. I can't remember if this is my favorite song from Physical Graffiti but it definitely is one of the best. This is THEE album that helped me survive 8th grade. I remember coming home from school so many times feeling so depressed and Id head straight for the garage and throw this record on the turntable and start blasting my depression away. Yeah, my mom just loved me when I got home from school, I used to have it so loud, especially this song, that it would take her at least 6 times screaming my name through the side door of the garage before I could hear her screaming at me to turn it down. lol
And being that Jimmy Page was the main composer and producer, I believe, along with the guitar playing and live stage saunter. Top Tier all around, for everyone involved🙏🙏👍

Everything meshes together perfectly. That's Led Zeppelin.

The GOATS of rock ✨️🎶✨️

Most Excellent
He wasn't just a drummer , he was a musician
Takes me back to some mighty fine parties!!
They recorded in a stately home, not a studio, giving the sound that sense of space, half the time they're live recordings with some doubling

Always magnificent!
I missed your musical analysis. Glad you’re back.

Its not just the set he used but he also tuned his drums to that of a jazz drummer and the way positioned the mics
trampled under foot is another good song from the same album, its very funky
Good to see you back brother reacting to some great music
That extra "hitch" in the drum and guitar parts, also misses in certain drum parts.....so fun!!
Glyn Johns is partially responsible(as the recording engineer). The other key factor was Bonhams style.

Their best album.
Double albums were always a gamble! Physical Graffiti worked out!
Great Album!
So good to see you back with some Zeppelin!! ☮️
John Bonham makes music on his own. Some day you shuold check out Bonham Montreux, CODA album, that's pure high quality music
I'm glad you're back!!!
Please react to a lot more Led Zeppelin, including Achilles Last Stand, live at Knebworth (1979).
Don't forget this music Was recorded fifty years ago
I only watch Led Zeppelin reactions and why not they are my favourite band. I haven't seen you in a while and what happened to the both of you reactiing?
That solo at tbe end is just so dirty.

I love the lively tempo of this song. It rocks but it skips too lol.

Crossing my fingers that "What can happen" won't happen. 🤞🤞🤞
ask Jimmy Page about his drum sound..He was the producer
This might blow you over
This song isn’t on their album Houses Of The Holy… but I’ve gotta say that musically it doesn’t fit, so go figure
