Im LOVING this case ! I think the "on its side" look is fantastic, gives a whole new perspective to the norm of the PC case. Thanks Mike and Kath 🙂
if i had the room on a long desk it would definitely be getting stolen from TT
This is an awesome case. It was the one I was going to buy if I decided to build an mATX system. I may buy it just to look at. 🙂
thanks for the comment, i like it myself. I don't have the room for it but i like it
Lovely Pc case.
I love me own black be quiet! Silent Base 601 with a little silver.
looks alot like Spike Spiegel's Jericho 941 R.
but as a Pc case.
Thank you very much for the review 😀
not heard from bequiet in a long time. must email them
Nice, I like the Tower series they have a good balance of interesting and practical.
yeah that is very true
Nice case.. I can see it near a beer fridge on a gaming bar..
that would look amazing
Very nice PC case, Mike. I've been a fan of Thermaltake for a long time, and cases such as this is why. I was actually thinking about buying a Tower 900 until the C750 Air became a thing.
thermaltake have been making a great number of cases and coolers recently that have hit the mark for a lot of people. They are doing pretty well right now
🙂
I like that, very good review Mike..
Glad you enjoyed it
woulda bought a tower 500 if it supported a disc drive.
If I hadn’t just won a new case in a giveaway, this might have been on my list to replace the Fnatic Commando 🤣
the lay down stand comes with the stand and the matching colour end panel for yourr tower 300 choice of colour. The price is £34.99 for the kit
thanks for the info
Saw this earlier in year on CES review, so glad you reviewed it. Love the design and how gpu sucks air straight into its heatsink. My question is does the vertical mount of gpu affect its IO as there surely not designed to takes its weight on end mount? Otherwise think this is a great design and take your point about cable colours. The stand layout reminds me of star trek! very futuristic. Thanks Mike and Kath for reviewing.👍
GPU IO is okay if a little hard to get to compared with traditional layouts. Good looking case and something of a show piece for those with the space for it
I genuinely believe a case like this would do a better job at cooling components than a regular tower case because airflow is flowing directly into components since everything is close to each other and heat is exhausted immediately. No major restrictions that you mind encounter with small factor builds. With a regular everyday tower case, you have alot of air fumbling around the case going god knows what direction. This might look challenging to build but seems like brilliant design to me
thanks, you are bang on there
Great Review! Love this case! I have it on order in black looking forward to receiving it hopefully shortly, Still trying to decide which AIO I want to pair with it seeing it can hold a 420 AIO i want to try and take advantage of it. Thanks again for the review Mike! :)
the th420 v2 is a great option, if you want to stay on brand. i don't think the arctic freezer 3 will fit due to the extra width
@@mikesunboxing The V2 is definitely a possibility. How bright are the CT ARGB fans? Thinking if I need a ARGB AIO or if two ARGB fans on top and one below will be bright enough. Thanks.
So I just did a build with this case, and I love how the people reviewing it never show how all of the IO cables are coming out of that gap in back at the top. I love how they also never talk about how much strain the sharp bend needed to plug in your monitor cables to your GPU are.. So Im using 4 monitors, that 1 HDMI and 3 Display ports,. and I am sure that due to the amount of strain on the GPU cables, will eventually break the ports on the GPU itself. The case looks great, and I'm not saying I don't love it. But.. IO cables coming out of the motherboard/GPU are a problem.
yeah this is something i am also concerned about, seems with the 300 the area has been enlarged somewhat over the 100 and 200 models.
You should also do a review of the Corsair 2000D which is a Mitx case and see what you think of it!
not had much corsair stuff here recently
Hi Mike I need advice please. I have a 5900x with a Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 Black V3 CPU Air Cooler, it barely does the job. Good airflow case. Any recommendation for another more efficient air cooler. Just a name will suffice, thanks. I do know how to Google :-) but it trust you more !
the frost spirit should cope with that easily are you sure it is mounted and setup correctly?
Thanks Mike :-) It does keep the temp under 85 C, I was just hoping for lower. But then again it is ok with Ryzen parameters, so I will go on as before 🙂
Nice enough looking case but the rotated motherboard with the io at the top is a big no for me. As you said, with all the connectors in view it could get ugly pretty fast. Thanks for the video and taking the time to do an actual build.
thanks Mike
Nice case , but I’m looking for a case with plenty of hard drive space
The horizontal option looks good.Waiting for a TT Core V21 two.But this range attempts to be different other than another O11 clone.
I love this one but understood this is the worst GPU orientation for temps based on how vapour chambers usually work? Maybe the direct air is compensating....
i'm not sure how many of the modern range of graphics cards that actually use vapour chambers for cooling as they are expensive and most will use wicked heat pipes
@@mikesunboxing thank you, that's great to know!
Ps: Are you sure this Pc case is not from the Space Shuttle ??? 🤔
So many possibilities with this case.
in German we say = wer die wahl hat hat die qual.
in English = Whoever has the choice is spoiled 😛
that is true, lots of options here. and it looks very cool
I love the unique aquarium look to it. It should last a long time too given you'll still be able to fit all of the GPUs currently on the market.
It’s a really good idea
What a kick ass case.I want one in Turquoise. Currently going for $150 at Amazon US. Thank you Thermaltake for sending this case for Mike and Lady Kath to review. Take care everyone. Cheers
the colour options are great. the bubble pink is going to do really well.
@@mikesunboxing Maybe a new case for Lady Kath? Hint, hint. 😄
Case looks great and really shows the components, but... Beauty has its price. This design with mb i/o shield and gpu connectors in the top looks fiddly. Being a negative pressure case, important that they have filters everywhere. An option worth considering, this case, since mATX boards are actually the cheapest. Rest of componenents are standard. I like it.
thanks mark
What? They don't have a "Tardis Blue" color!?!
missed a trick there
Looks like a coffee maker.
milk and one sugar in mine please if you are making
Love everything but the price, too much for a case imo.
yeah PC case prices are not getting lower these days, and extra design touches like this don't help with that
Or a 3d printer
This case is indeed a thing of beauty. Sadly the Eris E5s on my desk mean my PC has to live tucked underneath on a little stand, the T300 would be a bit of a too much of a tight squeeze in there I think. A Core V21 would give me about 25mm headroom.
Thermaltake has a few horizontal stands on their Amazon UK store going for around 50 quid.
Went dumpster this week and what did I find ? A graphics card for my i3 system which originally has a 1030 Nvidia card so I replaced with a intel arc a310 elf 🧝♂️ instead!
Cost me 75 pounds
not bad
Yeah pretty slim pickings for 3060s here cheapest being 210 pounds
If you can find one that is
