Fishing on the Peace River! Kayak Fishing! SNOOK HEAVEN!

So normally between now and mid July Tarpon start rolling here pretty heavy! Unfortunately this trip was still a little early but I was able to use my back up plan and catch some nice snook!

Combos I used where 2 Penn Battle 3's 2500 on 7' Penn Battle Rods, a Penn Battle 3 DX 3000 on a 7' Fenwick Inshore HMG and a Penn Spinfisher VII 2500 on a 7’ 6” Fenwick Inshore HMG ​⁠ ‪@Fenwickfishing‬ ‪@PENNfishing‬ ​⁠
I used 10lb power pro on all of my combos
30 lb ​⁠ ‪@SeaguarChannel‬ fluorocarbon
All my soft plastics and weedless hooks were ​⁠ ‪@ZManFishingProducts‬
My Jig heads were the trout eye by eyestrikefishing

Yea it was a nice day out there! Just can’t wait for them poon to be rolling. That’s my go to spot when they get there!

Yes I launch at the boat launch. I go out to the main river then head north! Shell creek is far from there so I’d use a different launch to go there. Thank you for watching!

Depends on temps and rain. Normally they will start showing up late June to early July

I didn’t have any issues when I went but I was quick to get on the water. Only issue I had in the water was horse flies.
