Bikepacking the three castles path (using cycle paths) - Day 2

The 3 castles path is an official Long distance walking route between Windsor in Berkshire, via King John's Castle in Odiham (Hampshire) and then onto Winchester. The route is supposed to follow the route possibly travelled by King John in the 13th Century at the time of Magna Carta.
The route between Windsor and Hartley Wintney is mostly footpath and the only cycling option is on very busy roads and built up areas so my route avoids that by using quiet roads and cycle paths to get to Camberley and then joining onto the Blackwater Valley Cycle path (off road) and then onto the Basingstoke canal trail (off road) down to the Greywell tunnel. After Greywell the official 3 castles route is on Byways down to Itchen Abbas where a short road section joins us onto National Cycle Route 23 which goes through Winchester (and ends on the Isle of Wight)
This is Day 2 where I cycle from Bracknell down to Greywell but due to the lack of campsites on the route, involves a small detour into Basingstoke to stop in a hotel (as I'm not keen on Stealth camping). Its my first time taking a bike to a hotel so I'm a bit nervous about it all
