As a Town fan I was raised on stories of legendary hisotrical teams and this particular Huddersfield side is prominent in our past, but I have to marvel at the difference in sheer class between the two teams. Utd made short work of a very good Huddersfield side in this game (it must be said that one of the key players, Dennis Law, was one of our old boys and still follows Towns progress closely).
In my personal view Law Best & Charlton was the greatest era of Man united . When those three were in the team its was always a bit special . Never to be seen again .

Only twice at Old Trafford. I wonder how many people are still alive who saw the home match against West Ham in 1967? The only time Law, Best and Charlton all scored in the same Division 1 match at Old Trafford. I wonder if there's any footage of it? I don't think I've ever seen any and I suspect there isn't.

I remember being excited to see Best, Law and Charlton, live play against Frank Worthington (and it was possibly this match.) I remember standing by a corner post with a goal to my right. It was a long time ago, (as my memory seems to be in black and white.) I would have been 18 at this match but I feel it could have been early 60's when I was 10 ish... Did they play Huddersfield then? 🤔

I would have been 18 in 1971 a month after my birthday. I was stood to the left of the cowshed near the floodlight pylon when all the goals were scored to my right. The camera gantry that this was televised from were to my left.
I ended up here because I didn't remember a Huddersfield v United game in my lifetime. This was 6 years before I was born, who would have thought it would be 46 years before they play again? I can see a similar scoreline this Saturday...

United fans were in the middle of the shed surrounded by a police cordon.there were fights before during and after game,town gave as good as they got,there were over 120 arrests that day,first time I ever got arrested (but not charged).
