5:10-7:20 reminds me of my 8th grade glory days when I always get to hang out with my friends and just be overall happy. Such a beautiful cover 😪 Also how did you record outside with no speakers?
Thanks so much for your feedback! Really happy you like my cover :-) Simple explanation: it's possible to record this outside without any problem (the piano has speakers) and I just need my laptop next to it. But there lies the problem: cables everywhere, a laptop standing around, etc. To make it short: this video is entirely prerecorded and the piano outside is playback. My brother walked around with the camera for around 6-7 angles, so I had to play the piano part for every new recording. The synchronization was no problem since I can play the whole piece by heart. So you still see my playing what you hear, but the audio comes from earlier.
Hi Drew. Your question is not dumb at all. And the answer is simple: this, as well as all my other video recorded outside, are 100% playback. The audio was recorded at home, so you listen to my performance and my hands are actually playing the song. But the video is made for aesthetic reasons. If there was real electricity, there would be hundreds of meters of cables lying around which would just disturb the visuals. Or maybe a portable battery, but I don't have such a big knowledge for that. If you take my performance of The Call of Ktulu which was recorded inside, the camera angle from the side was recorded while the actual sound recording was done. All other angles were recorded afterwards, again as playback, so the video could get some variety. I hope that helps a bit :)
I am sorry, but would you be more specific what you feel is wrong? It is exactly what I intended and wrote in my cover, using Metallica's chords and sheet music🤔 so not an accidental mess up in my performance
@@YannickStreibert In the original it is slightly different. it feels like you do something double, it is 0.4 sec longer I think there is something wrong with your chords then.
Solar energy 😎 But no, the answer is simple: nowhere! I just copy a reply I wrote for somebody else, you're not the first to ask! "...And the answer is simple: this, as well as all my other video recorded outside, are 100% playback. The audio was recorded at home, so you listen to my performance and my hands are actually playing the song. But the video is made for aesthetic reasons. dumb question, but how do you get electricity in the middle of a field?
@@YannickStreibert makes sense thank you for the response
Herovo!
I am sorry, even google translate could not really help me, but what I found was "bad"? Sorry if you did not like it.
@@YannickStreibert in Russian "херово" means even worse than just "bad"... But I find your videos absolutely amazing and inspirational!
Thanks for your help😊 and for your feedback!
RIP cliff 💎
Good luck finding insurance on those 🙌 of yours! They’re priceless!
Funny you mention it: my fingers have been insuranced for 19 years already :-D
Thanks for your nice words ♥
@@YannickStreibert Good man! You are smart as you are talented!
Why is he in a field???
I needed to take my piano for a walk😉
At 4:02 you make a big mistake!
For the rest it was played very nicely.
I am sorry, but would you be more specific what you feel is wrong? It is exactly what I intended and wrote in my cover, using Metallica's chords and sheet music🤔 so not an accidental mess up in my performance
@@YannickStreibert
In the original it is slightly different.
it feels like you do something double, it is 0.4 sec longer
I think there is something wrong with your chords then.
Where the hell is that thing plugged in? :)
Solar energy 😎 But no, the answer is simple: nowhere! I just copy a reply I wrote for somebody else, you're not the first to ask!
