- Blake's New Jerusalem is an album by Tim Blake, recorded and originally released in 1978. The title is a reference to the popular British hymn "Jerusalem", which is based on William Blake's 1804 poem "And did those feet in ancient time".

A much heart-felt piece by this keyboard wizzard who is one of the first artists I knew on the french EGG label in the late 70's. CRYSTAL MACHINE was dark and interesting. NEW JERUSALEM was a work of art. I'm happy I could play it a lot on radio in Chile where this music could usually only be heard on late night weekly radio specials and for easter special programming at Concierto Fm. Tim Blake, space searcher forever.

I used to be the stoner that drifted away to this and now I've been over 10yrs without any of that- I can listen to it as intended- with clarity- and its absolutely beautiful- A MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF WORK!

C'était la pèriode où il fallait créer ses sons et non sampler ce qui existe déjà. Je pense ne pas me tromper en affirmant que ce 33 tours a été enregistré entre 1970 et 1973 par un certain Dominique Blanc-Francard alors ingénieur du son aux studios du Château d’Hérouville dans le Val d’Oise. Idem pour Jean Michel Jarre qui lui également nous a sorti d'excellentes mélodies, tel Oxygène !
Blake lo acompaña 1 persona que comanda los laser y xlotanto ejecuta los teclados solo. asi que se lleva el merito de ser un gran tecladista, con suaves y potentes melodias que esta musica entrega y no caer en el rock comercial.

Oups ! j'ai oublié de préciser que la chanson est en réalité beaucoup plus longue qu'elle ne l'est sur cette vidéo ; et si mes souvenirs sont exacts, sa durée d'écoute se situe dans une fourchette de 15 à 18 minutes !
