I love everything about the art/level design in FromSoftware games. I've been playing them so long that I feel like I know what the developers' intent is with every little detail. It's hard to explain but when I am in one of their games, I can see something new and I have an idea of what I am supposed to do. They don't use cheap gimmicks, and everything seems to have a purpose. I also absolutely love the idea that everything you can see, you can eventually explore, not just some backdrop.
Totally agree - and they place a glowing something always in sight. But for sote - I missed so many areas. Killed messmer way too early - many quests not done. I kind of liked that the original was slightly more linear…

Basically, I was getting my ass kicked and it forced me to really explore everything to try and get as much help as possible. I only used walkthroughs in a couple areas like Abyssal Woods because I really wanted to experience everything fresh. Plus, I know it will probably be a few years before we see another masterpiece like this. My brother did like you and now he is coming back on his first NG and he messaged me to say he can't believe how much he missed.
@@Nygex2024 I see. Yes - probably the reason for me was that I was NG+ already - that’s where I had been 1.5 years ago. I just had the first boss done in the original game on NG+ and had to make it to mogh first. I was also a little overlevelled cause I cleared everything in the original game in the first playthrough - I mean all talismans, all regions, all cookbooks, all sets - and a little safety farming at the end of first playthrough - I still got wrecked in the beginning. But the scadu tree levels scaled faster over time. Up to messmer I could force it through with careful play. The boss itself was quite hard though - had to use all I had and also try different combos - and after this point I started using the progress guide, because all NPCs just disappeared. I still cant beat a furnace golem - I will try to do them today and mess around with frost damage if possible. I dont look up boss fights or something - but rather play a bigger region and then check that I haven’t missed a secret area or something. Just compulsory completionism :D. For the remainder of the playthrough in the original I will probably just collect ancient smithing stones and great ghost gloveworths. So maybe being a bit too powerful was the problem here. In elden ring original it was quite clear - dont go here or you are dead.
It's like everyone had the same initial reaction. Disappointed by there being no opening cutscene, and then blown away allover again seeing the Scadutree just like seeing the Erdtree for the first time.

There's a lot of valid criticism though especially since it's meant to be a 60fps locked game and there's still tons of stutters which means it has performance issues(that probably has to do more with loading and the size of the areas). It's valid but I don't like the purest that say it doesn't look good cause I trust fromsoft to deliver a locked framerate game that plays well and looks amazing but, higher framerates mean you can also load more and do have a reason that's mostly only relevant in fps games.
from my understanding visual framerate is the world animation of a game is either 30 or 60 and even if you have unlimited fps the visual fps will stay the same.

Still it feels like they had less time for Characters and Details like this. -Rellana no Cutscene -Better Buildup to the final Bossfight (storywise) -Final Cutscene feels out of place World and Bosses are super fleshed out and completely amazing tho. Game is still a 10/10 goty for me. Maybe they patch something in afterwards, i would love that

Its funny how people dont understand how framrates work. Higher frame means smoother transitions because there are more frames to work with but it also means less smooth transitions because if anything goes wrong wether its hardware or internet because you have a chance drop way more frames at a time and you get worst visual stableness then capped fps. But the higher the frames also means if frames get dropped you have more frames to deal with the missing frames that make animations choppy, so that you have a much smoother outcome then a 60 frame cap. At 60 frames its not as jarring when frames drop but it is similar to how jarring it is while in its stable state, but at 300 and more its extremely jarring when your frames drop, but the higher the frame counts per second you have thess less jarring the drop is as long as the frame drop percentage doesnt exceed 25% which can easily happen when uncapped. But if your pc can handle it then its looks smoother and less jarrring then 60 frames because the animations have more fluidity when the frames arent skipped. So yes you wont be able to tell the difference past 120 and 60 if frame drops never happened, but they always do.

Yes, I frames are locked to fps, but don't scale past 60, at 30 fps you get 14 I frames, where 60 you still get 14, a half second vs full second, only gets worse the more frames you have 😊
I might’ve been destined to be bald but Sekiro cemented it along with finding my first white beard hair at the time (27). Elden Ring DLC is frustating as hell but you can also cheese the hell out of it like the base game.

If it's a stutter that freezes the game for 1 or 2 seconds every so often is probably a windows thing. Go to: Device Manager > Sofware Devices and look for "Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator". Right click it and select "disable" Apparently it was an issue with windows trying to look for input devices, not sure why but my stuttering stopped after that.

When you play for the most of your life on MnK, and you get good at it (like Shroud), there is literally no point for you change it to controller, for any game
i have defeated every boss without summons str only with keyboard and mouse. Idk what's the difference, they feel the same. I played ds2 with a controller because it has a bug that causes mouse to have input lag, and it didn't feel different from playing with K&M

They recommended 150 so people went for roughly 150. The fragments are more important than lvl by a mile
Most people complete the game between 130 - 150 so it only makes sense most would be this level going into the DLC.
