And then the world is like "Nope, you're gonna suffer as long as possible until the cancer is what kills you. You don't get to go out on your own terms. I will say in that last story, false accusations had ruined many lives on both genders. It's even worse considering it hurts real victims as well yet we have those who lie of something that never happened.
The second to last story. OP did something good in my opinion. A care facility i feel could also get into major trouble if kets say the guy helped unaliving someone. Then the care facility is going to be looked and under a microscope cause "if he sis that to a random person. Did he do that to someone there?" HELL that statement is still in question in my opinion. Not to mention if that happened. Then that care facility might lose business due to the fact that people would be pulled out and the business not making any money.
I feel like it should be made known that nihilism is not inherently pessimistic and there are loads of nihilists who live happy fulfilling lives. There are even people like myself that struggle with depression that is in no way connected to nihilism.
If I remember correctly, yes, you can be charged if said person kills themselves. Happen to Michelle Carter in 2014/2017, she convinced bf to end himself, and she was charged in 2017 for involuntary manslaughter
While I do share the same core belief as Nihilism... There is no meaning of life... I prefer to think of that is a double edged sword. On the one hand, Now is all you have, so you should make the best of it. Enjoy yourself, Help others, just create an overall positive impact! On the other hand... don't dwell on your mistakes, it doesn't really matter in the long run... well... unless you do Thomas Midgley Jr. levels of damage. Use "Nothing matters" to your favor to enjoy life!
On the one hand, I am in control of my own actions, which is freeing. On the other hand, I shouldn't even be in charge of my own breakfast, and that freedom is terrifying
Nihilism: he did get a kick. The same kick that serial killers get. The same kick "guardian angels" with a hero complex get. They feel powerful when really they are pathetic.
Honestly. It's so wild seeing how often people use loughners face for their thumbnails and how often noone knows who that face is and how reviled that guy is in tucson.
The last story is troubling. If the professor can be that vindictive, I'm willing to believe that the girl didn't make it up. They seem like a monster.
I prefer absurdism, it's basically the same idea as nihilism but being joyful instead bc if nothing matters you can do anything without pressure and the world is yours to make what you wish of it
If that was the first instance of incest in that family the chances of genetic disorders are low, I wonder if that lives in the boonies family had a lot of that stuff before.
As a nihilist myself, the fact that nothing has any inherent meaning doesn't make my life meaningless. It gives me the freedom to decide what I actually consider meaningful. Moreover, whatever it is that I decide to invest my time into actually holds even more meaning than it might otherwise, as it's entirely self generated and not beholden to anyone or anything else.
Even if you completely ignore the online exploitation Nigel did, the fact that he works at a care facility likely means he was also encouraging his depressed patients / residents to unalive themselves too. Which DEFINITELY would get him prison time for elder abuse or exploitation.
Last story is kinda E.S.H. I mean she could have destroyed his life, but he did destroy her life and left her in an extremely vulnerable position as a young woman.
Or Nigel just got smarter about how he does the internet and created a few fake profiles that can't be traced to him. And then continued his disgusting hobby. Maybe he even found another job somewhere. I'm not a nihilist, just your average pessimist. Sorry, not sorry.
14:36 does OP not realize Nigel can just make another FB account? So iunno about Nigel 'never be able to torment' someone. But next time, I imagine he'll use a different name, making sure there's nothing to identify him and be even more cruel and hideous towards people as retribution for everything that happened to him. OP really should have reported him cause now there's no way to monitor Nigel. He's not gonna suddenly change and I can see him going out of his way to truly destroy someone as 'revenge' or something. OP kinda seems like a white knight kind of person 🤨 "...he will never encourage suicide again" uh...did Nigel die and I just missed it? Cause how could OP say he won't when he could still verbally do this, could do it over the phone, email, texting, could sign it to a deaf person, there are more ways then just FB for someone to do this shit.
There is huge chance that Nigel will turn even more bitter and psychopathic now so there is huge chance he will push his behavior to 11. Nigel needs to be in jail or psychiatric ward in white padded room. No normal human being could even think about pushing depressed people to unalive themselves.
A: I'm assuming that OP looked for other commenters whose comments were "very similar" to Nigel's style and message. Is it possible that Nigel made a new account and was only private messaging his perverted messages? The possibility is there, but I kinda doubt Nigel would be smart enough to think of that. B: Nigel not only lost his job, but was likely under investigation. If the public had found out about what he was doing, the company could've been liable to an unknown number of people who lost loved ones under his care, which could've ruined the business' reputation. So, if during the investigation, they discovered that Nigel had made a new account, and was continuing his behavior, it would've been *really* bad for him.
Story2: should be in amithedevil, tricking and trapping innocent citizens into crappy contracts. This is not a revenge story, it's a who's the biggest shark story.
Story 3) This is a HUGE misunderstanding of Nihilism. The belief is "nothing means anything _outside of the meaning we create for it_ " Not that YOU are meaningless. But that meaning isn't *prescribed* based on your existence. Meaning is something we invented. We CREATE our meaning! (There's a bunch more philosophical stuff to it, but essentially, it's talking about a philosophical meaning. Not your personal purpose in life.)
Are we repeating stories for Christmas? 😊 The 1st story feels like it was told last year, and I think the same goes for story 2. Guess I’ve been watching/listening too much rSlash! 😅
There’s a such thing as optimistic nihilism. Yeah, “nothing matters” but that means every moment of embarrassment, contention, and other awful things will all evaporate right along with your consciousness when you die. Nihilism can set you free.
With the nihilist story, while I'd like to believe that getting consequences scared the guy into stopping his rampage, there is a real chance that didn't happen. People like that rarely alter their awful behavior because they thrive on power. When life gets tough, they often double down and/or lash out in anger. Chances are that he merely learned to be less open and made new, more anonymous accounts to troll with.
Scary stories Especially the last one, because we have heard so many stories from people who would claim they were the victim, but were lying I hope the professor was being falsely accused, but sadly will never know
Nihilism : I see many people in the comments saying that it's supposed to make people feel free and all. Well, it's not true. Many people will feel depressed or lost about it, about how vast the universe is, and how non significant this world seems. And I think those people should watch Doctor Who. Maybe not all espisodes, but some. It's not because we are tiny that we aren't important. "I never met someone who wasn't important." - The Doctor.
Becoming a Nihilist unironically has vastly improved my mental health. 😂 I'm a lot happier and more fulfilled than I used to be, and I started doing things I've always wanted to do. It's a shame OP in the 3rd story encountered such an ugly side of Nihilism on the Internet. Because it's been hella freeing for me.
Last story: it’s unlikely he learned his lesson. He probably got a court order and police search which forced him to delete his Facebook account out of fear.
first story: I love how nobody questioned what happened to OP grandpa father, cause they could easily had lie and said oh he ran away or something like that and glad the family curse it broken
The closest I’ve come to nuclear revenge is I got back at my former boss who is a POS who I hope will gamble his life away. I got a bunch of those annoyatron devices off Amazon and hid them everywhere; in his office, the showroom, his car and the warehouse. I did it on a day when the camera system was down for maintenance and I did it on my last day which he wasn’t there for so I got away with it. His shop closed a few months later.
For context, not only was he very aggressive and would blame me for everything, his wife was extremely nihilistic, to the point where I was a broken man. I literally would cry myself to sleep most nights and my confidence was completely shattered. Now that I’m at a new job with a boss that actually cares for me, I feel like a different person. I’m far happier than before and I have a better state of mind with a brighter future than what was spoon fed to me on a daily basis.
Is the second story really "nuclear" revenge. There's nothing really extreme about it. The bosses were operating illegally and cheating their employee, so they left and got them in legal trouble. Seems pretty normal to me.
There is such a thing called Positive Nihilism. Ie. Existence has no inherent meaning, so your existence itself has no inherent pressures to act a certain way and you make your own meaning for your own existence.
So basically his wife doesnt care that nigel tells people to kys, but cares that nigel doesnt bring in the money anymore? Is it just me, or she actually sounds even worse than nigel himself?
Personally, the belief that nothing matters is more comforting than the thought that I was put on earth for a reason, or the belief that my fate has already been pre-determined and my existence is just a play and I have no actual free will. The idea that everything is random and nothing in the world matters is a way to take the pressure off to live what society or religion tells you is a rich and fulfilling life. People will always question their existence, their purpose; Why were they born at this specific moment in time, to these specific people, in this specific part of the world, but if you believe it was just a bunch of random events that have no deeper meaning behind them, it can make life less stress inducing when you're feeling like shit or when life is just giving you the jack hammer treatment. Cause for me, the thought that this world, and all the pain and despair it's filled with is all part of some higher beings "plan" does not comfort me in the slightest
The one about the troll reminded me of the plot in the game the cat lady. Where a character is looking for revenge on a troll that convinced her boyfriend to end it all.
Nihilism. Half of them are "life is meaningless :(" the other half is "life is meaningless :)" The positive side is great. Imagine being a cancer patient in constant pain, day in and day out, knowing there is no relief except death. And then the world is like "Nope, you're gonna suffer as long as possible until the cancer is what kills you. You don't get to go out on your own terms. So we're putting you on 24/7 suicide watch now so you can't. And here's the bill. Pay up."
Hey Daubney, I haven't checked in on you in quite a while, but nuclearrevenge has always been my favorite! Thanks for always making great videos man, you've gotten me past some rough patches
I will say in that last story, false accusations had ruined many lives on both genders.
It's even worse considering it hurts real victims as well yet we have those who lie of something that never happened.
Don't feel guilty op you may have ruined his life but you have probably saved countless others
That's a photo of Jared Lee Loughner in the thumbnail
Thanks, fren. No one already knew that.
I did not know that.
Now I have to Google Jared Lee Loughner 🤦♂️
@Sam-ob4of just looked him up. Wish I hadn't.
@@johnclose2925 I'll take your word for it and resist the temptation, thank you
Murdered this episode. Happy holidays 🎉
Your comment is hilarious! But yeah that first story is dark. I think it was justified though. The sons really protected their sister! ❤
In the second story when the owners gave OP back the contracts to "fix" over time I expected OP to save them up over time for a massive cash in.
If I remember correctly, yes, you can be charged if said person kills themselves. Happen to Michelle Carter in 2014/2017, she convinced bf to end himself, and she was charged in 2017 for involuntary manslaughter
Do not say "unalive" in normal conversations. It’s a sign of fatal childishness.
@goyangi4143 edited, happy now grammar nazi?
@@goyangi4143yes but you can't use certain terms on TH-cam or the comment be gone.
Oh hey, I know you.
Also I share that belief. :3
@@SamWeltzin oh, Hi Sam! :3
On the one hand, I am in control of my own actions, which is freeing. On the other hand, I shouldn't even be in charge of my own breakfast, and that freedom is terrifying
literally had just searched rslash to listen to something while I shower at 1am, gg
I waited to shower until this posted
I prefer absurdism, it's basically the same idea as nihilism but being joyful instead bc if nothing matters you can do anything without pressure and the world is yours to make what you wish of it
Story 3 as a depressed nihilist can confirm its a bad combo
The fact that theres a crisis line under the video
Story 1 wasn't meyurder, it was illegal dumping
someone's grandparents stories being from the 60's make me feel old, that's my parents' kind of age lol
OP patting himself on the back is top tier cringe. "What if I saved a life?" Then you broke even. 😂😂😂
That 3rd story sounds very, "and then everyone clapped" to me
You talking about Nigel the Nihilist or the false accusation story?
Nigel the Nihilist has a great ring to it.
Not his actions though...
Dabney has all the edge lords come out of hiding in this comment section ☠️
12:13, forgive me if I’m wrong, but umm, doesn’t telling someone to kts count as murder or something if they actually kts after ??
If that was the first instance of incest in that family the chances of genetic disorders are low, I wonder if that lives in the boonies family had a lot of that stuff before.
story 1: murder is allowed in certain cases. This one is one of them! just like the luigi situation
The meaning of life is to find meaning in life. At least, that's my philosophy.
I’m not sure on that last one. If the student was messed with and the professor got revenge? I want both sides
Story2: should be in amithedevil, tricking and trapping innocent citizens into crappy contracts. This is not a revenge story, it's a who's the biggest shark story.
Last story: there’s some rancid vibes here. I don’t like it.
oh my goodness nuclearrevenge it’s a holiday miracle, good meowning everynyan
nah, you probably heard those stories from other Reddittubers. This is the first time rSlash has read these two stories.
@@YourPal1 You might be correct. Listening so many sh... stories. It's quite possible 🙂
Scary stories
Especially the last one, because we have heard so many stories from people who would claim they were the victim, but were lying
I hope the professor was being falsely accused, but sadly will never know
NEVER set a pay and performance scale you aren’t willing to stick to.
2nd to last story I guarantee he just made 2nd fake account and is still doing it that's how the Internet works
As Bill Mauldin had his character Willy say, "The hell this ain't the most important hole in the world. I'M in it!"
That's funny there. Least after what said in the context you doing better as I can't imagine being with that boss and wife
Is the second story really "nuclear" revenge. There's nothing really extreme about it. The bosses were operating illegally and cheating their employee, so they left and got them in legal trouble. Seems pretty normal to me.
Holy shit "nihilist and nihilism" drinking game would get you drunk so fast.
There is such a thing called Positive Nihilism. Ie. Existence has no inherent meaning, so your existence itself has no inherent pressures to act a certain way and you make your own meaning for your own existence.
I'm a genuine nihilist, and I can safely say I don't want anyone else to see the world like I do
Story 2: Idk, i wouldn’t say this quite qualifies as “nuclear revenge” imo. More like pro revenge
Still a fun story though
I'm a Nihilist and I do believe that life has no meaning there for I can give it whatever meaning I want and always try to give it a positive one
So basically his wife doesnt care that nigel tells people to kys, but cares that nigel doesnt bring in the money anymore? Is it just me, or she actually sounds even worse than nigel himself?
Good morning everyone!

Good morning 🌅
"Why has TH-cam included an info bar for the Samaritans (a Suicide hotline and charity)?"
Story 3
" Oh."
Bro I was wondering that too, I was like the heck?
The 3rd story feels more like a r/prorevenge than a r/nuclearrevenge
Morning Rslash Fam!
Morning!
Ah, Story 3 is why there’s a crisis hotline box on this video. Yeah… makes sense…
The one about the troll reminded me of the plot in the game the cat lady. Where a character is looking for revenge on a troll that convinced her boyfriend to end it all.
Nihilism. Half of them are "life is meaningless :(" the other half is "life is meaningless :)"
The positive side is great. If life is meaningless, then why not spend that extra money on a coffee you've been wanting? Or get that jacket you've wanted.
If nothing matters, then you can do what you want. Do the job you like.
Nuclear revenge is my

Story 3: when nihilist meet a narcissist
Never forget that Zoe Quinn pushed Alec Holowka to unalive himself and she still walks free.
Female privilege.
𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲: Hey, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait a minute, man. They don’t think nothing matters at all, man. He was scared to d̶i̶e̶ lose his partner and job and stuff, man. What the 𝖋𝖚𝖈𝖐 man, that makes me angry, man.
last story: with how petty op is being as the fckng lecturer of all people, i have a feeling that the girl's accusation isn't all that unfounded
Thank you for another great year Dabney
The rampant alcoholism, incest and snow- I bet they were indigenous Alaskan natives.
The internet ruined what nihilism actually is and it was just taken over by edgy kids who misunderstood what nihilism is.
Nihilists aren’t depressives. So silly.
