What is the needle type to use for my overlock machine please
Is it the same as in the video? If so, the needle system is DCx1. The size I am using is 80/12 or 100/16, depending on the material. These are the needles I can buy in my country: photos.app.goo.gl/KDSEWTerpA6wx9kn9

The most important thing is the needle system. This overlock requires a needle with a system: GNx1, or GN-1.
Then you must consider what you will be sewing and select the needle size.
(This machine can sew up to 4mm thick fabrics.)
This is a photo of the needles I use: prnt.sc/lw2c8c (Not an ad, not an affiliate link) If you can't find them, you can show the picture in your local shop.
Needle size 80/12 is for tricot, silk, cotton fabrics.. etc.(picture on the right), 90/14 needle size is suitable for medium-weight to heavy fabrics, and 100/16 is for denim and similar fabrics (picture on the left).
*Also, there are needle sizes 60/8, 70/10, 75/11 (and more) they are for very thin fabrics.
*I am using the 80/12 size needle almost for everything I am sewing.
*Some needle brands offer different needle types. I think for these machines all the needles are universal, but if they ask you for needle type you should tell them what you will be sewing. You can buy the Universal needle type, but they can offer you for sewing Jersey, Denim, Leather, Stretchy fabrics, and so on.

Hi,
There may be many reasons for the thread breakage.
Which thread breaks?
If you have used the machine without changing the settings, maybe you need to change the needle.
Your tension may be too tight, or even the knife may be dull. If the lower looper thread is breaking, you have to check if is threaded correctly. The thread should pass through a tiny loop, before threading it into the looper. Also, your thread may be weak or dried out.

I’ve threaded the machine correctly. Yet it’s not stitching at all. It just cuts the material and leaves needle marks on it. What do I do?
If the machine is threaded correctly, the problem might be with the needle. Are you using an appropriate needle for the fabric you are sewing? Is the needle bent? Also, make sure you have installed the needle in the right orientation, and that the needle is pushed as far as possible in the needle bar. If it's not all the way in, this will mess up with the timing of the machine and it may not catch the thread loops from the loopers and make the chain.

There is number 7 on the spanner. I hope they are the same in all countries.

Hello can I ask what's the right need for a serger? My machine is gn1 6d
The user manual is the same for these models: GN1-1, GN1-2, GN1-113, GN1-6, and GN1-7, so I think they all use the same type of needle. (I'm not 100% sure, but I couldn't find anything on the internet.)
If I'm correct - the needle type for all these models should be: GNx1, or GN-1, followed by the needle size. For example: GNx1 80/12 or GN-1 80/12.

It is Meishi GN1-1. But you can search for "overlock gn1-1". There are many different brands with the same model.

Whenever needle of my machine broke and I change then my machine doesn't work.

Sorry, but I have never done needle timing adjustments, and I can't find any information in the machine's manual. I recorded some footage of the machine. I broke my overlocker needle, watched your vedio and replaced it well but stitches are loose and skipping,,,what could be the reason?
Double-check that the needle is installed correctly (all the way in the holder) and facing the right direction. It should be securely inserted into the needle holder. Also, confirm that you are using the right type and size of needle for your fabric. Different fabrics may require different needle sizes, and using the wrong needle can cause stitching problems.
