for everone else conflicted about this, this is my rule: if the item is farmable otherwise, before using a mob dupe you have to have the other farm for it. if an item is not farmable in any other way or you farmed it otherwise already, you may use a hopper dupe many ppl will disagree but this keeps the challenge and the speed although the main problem is building the farms will feel wiered considering how useless they actually are

I've also seen a lot of people who are convinced this is a feature...they must be ghosts or something because moving through walls isn't normal :P As for the portal duplication bug...that one isn't so bad because you need to do a huge amount of set-up and have the right seed/world spawn location and is probably going to be mostly used by serious technical players. Mojang would probably want to patch this, but I don't mind it.

Yes I know but the machine you show here in the video doesn't work anymore, so to have 1.11-1.9+ Survival is partially misleading. You could just say "1.10-1.9" and have like a footnote in the description saying something like "Although the end portal duplication still works, the exact machine I have showed here is broken in 1.11+ due to piston warping being patched". Gives people accurate information so some poor guy doesn't go build this in his world only to find this doesn't work.

Hey Ray, can you try and explain how this can be adapted of minecart chests and/or donkeys? I ran through several tests in my small scale test world to try and replicate this but with no success with minecart chests or donkeys. At first I thought this was april fools/satire but when I watched the whole thing I realised! Great job Ray! (I'm a bit late)
Did you test that with big slimes/ Elder Guardians or Ghasts? that would be awesome if that would work or better if there was a version that only features big creatures :O
Plus you could just use an endercrystal to always remove 1 block (where they would land) from the obsidian plaform and lower the transporting part. So you don't have to rebuild the transporting part when you enter the end!

thsi sio suprisingly similar to pandas thingy, really awesome i have to admit :D but the item holding basically now makes any sand gen a general dupe now so not acceptable for most ppl xD the conveyor uses a quite nice layout it should be possible to use this in 1.8 to shouldnt it? or is there sth stopping that? with the fastest conveyors for 1.9 this farm should be able to produce about 2M items with a reasonable number of mobs of 800 and at an average distance of 1100 blocks, but the fastest 1.8 conveyor for a not finite number of mobs at once, being sheens, only reaches a speed of 1/8 of that but that would still supply a quite crazy 250k mobs/h... this is one of the few things i must admit, i m really conflicted about using... on the one hand, this is a great farm that i definitly wanna build, on the other hand it takes away building practically all other farms... i gotta think of a rule for this that makes it fun to use for me... i ve been thinking of only using it for unfarmable mobs... so... ender dragons(xD) elder guardians untamed wolfs and oceltos but then again, i wanna use this for other drops too... this is really hard i must admit and, you forgot about the possibility of an infinitly fast xp farm i think xD if the player hits the mobs before they die they also drop xp and healing them by half a heart isnt too hard i guess xD it wouldnt be "infinitly automatic" as you like to call it tho ofc

i calculated the theoratical speed of a piston bolt based system(too laggy but still) which would be rouhgly 360k mobs/h so more but so many pistons are hard to handle...
i did some tests on my computer, i cant handle more than 240 mobs, at least in 1.9(prob mainly bc of that)... that slows it down to 614k for the 1.9 version while the 1.8 version will keep it s speed bc the mobs are less laggy
i got a ton of lag with anything over 240mobs... 280 already got my tps down to half an idea to deal with the loot problems would be to let it be picked up by hopper minecarts(well then you have to find out how to distribute it but still) which might be faster than letting it stack instead

For players this is different (they drop it instantly and would still appear dead on the platform in the end). 2nd of all, what would obsidian have to do with duplicating the entity or preventing an automatic method of getting of the platform?

Yeah I watched that video, I have a working system but with one flaw. I can't seem to consistently get the donkey to half a heart (based on 10 hearts). Have you done any research on that or do you know a reliable way? Right now i'm using a damaging system using lava ticks. Thanks! :)
for some reason, when i generate the world im in spectator mode, in the end, and when i go back to the overworld the commandblocks are off and no mobs are spawning. when i activate it, it works for half a second then INFINITE MOBS SPAWN IN THAT PLACE AND EVERYTHING BREAKS BADLY!!! So how do i make it work because as soon as an entity enters the end it generates the obsidian platform and the first part of the machine breaks because of it.
+Egamer340 They are the same mobs all the time, when they pass through the end's portal they come back to the spawn point. that's why they appear in the fence gate instantly.

Mojang did it to BLOCK obsidian farm... Platform only regenerates when player comes through

@@ZUMMY61 pretty late, but poison reliably brings a mob down to 1 heart (as long as it is effecting the mob long enough)
