Thank u so much for this video!!!!! I would have broken the part that opened if I didnt find this video!!! I was about to go heman on that cover!!! You saved my cover!!!
Thanks for putting this up. I couldn't figure out why the keyboard wouldn't come loose on one of these things when attempting to clean out the cooling system of an overheating machine for a friend. Then I saw you pull your keyboard off and figured out it was stuck on with adhesive pads you just had to brute-force pull loose...Doh!
Had to do a decent amount of work on my E105-s1402. While I already have experience. I still like to watch breakdown videos of this laptop. Mine works better than when I first bought it back in 2011. Replaced HDD with a trion 150 ssd. Replaced the DVD drive with a UJ232ab dvdrw/bluray drive. Upgraded the CPU from the p8400 to the p8800. Basically made it more equivalent of a modern 400 dollar computer lol. (based on what I read, the p8800 and the p9600 were similar in performance and the p9600 may not have worked was my concern.) In order of listed, it didn't cost me much to upgrade. (34.99 for ssd, 30.00 bd rom,11.50 processor, 6 dollars for new hinges because the bracket broke.) I am still really happy with my laptop. Also replaced the thermal pads just because I was in there. Used some fujipoly pads for that because I had them laying around from other repairs/upgrades. Thanks for the video. This is a bear of a laptop for simple replacements, but it was aimed at business like applications.
Tool kit is Stanley 66-052, Drill is SKIL, but I am not sure about static electricity it can provide ... so better don't use it on mainboard, I am using, but who knows ... :)
What is the name of the tool kit you are using? I like the yellow screw drivers and the cordless power drill. What is it name? I will like to buy one. Thanks much
