I actually implemented this method at lunch today. I pulled the meat off three barbecued baby back ribs, added some Vidalia onion and dill pickles and extra Sweet Baby Ray's. I chopped it all up scopped it into a toasted sub roll and had me a faux McRib sandwich. Delicious!
today at work for lunch I did the same thing! but instead I used some leftover shrimp, bacon, Doritos, chocolate syrup, ground beef, some pickles, garlic, cinnamon toast crunch (for sweetness), and chicken. drench it all with ketchup and soy sauce.I then tossed it into a bun and it’s good to go! It smelt absolutely rancid but it was delicious nonetheless. this was the best sandwich i’ve ever had in 43 years! gave it to my 23 year old son for his birthday yesterday and it was so good he was speechless… literally. He collapsed on the ground and it turned out to be high cholesterol .
I NEVER thought of this. The only downside I see is that sometimes it’s satisfying to have the texture of biting a solid piece of meat, cheese or vegetable. But other than that. This is perfect.
Best part about making a sandwich is there are no dishes imo. Way faster to just slap everything on some bread and get to work. This might be nice for a weekend for brunch or something though.
Best part about making crap a$$ food is you can just pretend that throwing your food in a blender is fancy. You're one step away from eating pureed foods for old people who can't chew.
Chicken salad never said to puree me so you can pretend you're 97 and have no teeth. Why don't you just make your poopy sandwiches into liquid so you can drink them?
I tried this and it’s probably the worst way to eat a sandwich. I really like the separation of ingredients in the sandwich. Not to mention this way all the stuff falls out easily because it just small pieces
My mother used make this back in 1980's this isnt new at all. She'd prepare a large bowl of all the chopped ingredients, toast the rolls, then tell us to make our own.
can’t believe more companies haven’t did it like this or anybody for a long time i’ve always done it this way mainly because everything was more compressed in and felt more secure
1. can't make sandwiches like this in mass all the dumping shit all over the counter the cooks would spend most time cooking. 2. Most people aren't going to really get down with a mashed up sandwich
Just did this. Had a tiny bit of trouble chopping it all up, but with my sheer determined will, I got through the ingredients. I added mayo and tabasco and had a satisfying breakfast.
I've seen this done in a cafe and the reasom this feels so good to eat is because the sauce can coat all the ingridients and if you're eating a wrap it doesn't pool up at the bottom of the wrap as much
I remember like 20 years ago a bakery near work used to do a chopped turkey ham cheese and spring onion thing. I used to have it most days and it was delicious It’s only since this trend has come in that I remembered it and have started making it at home (obviously with a little Mayo) This looks delicious also. Will try
I get it... I've done it, I won't do it again. Not saying it's bad. Normally I make a sube or sandwich, it is mostly on a paper towel, sometimes a plate. So most time all I wash is a butter knife. Now I need to chop it up. For that now I need to wash a cutting board and the 1 or 2 utensils used for chopping and mixing. Now I need to mix it. Better to be in a bowl or it goes all over the place as you see with the mess outside the cutting board. So now I need to wash a bowl. It just takes more time and adds more work for something that should be much simpler. If I want a sandwich or a sub, it's because I want something quick and simple.
I think this would work well with a hot sandwhich and not a cold one, but instead of chopping the cheese add it after so it melts all the ingredients together. Looks really good though
Why don't you throw the whole thing in a blender and drink it then. No this is the proper way Toast your bun till barely crisp then slather with garlic butter and cover one side in mozzarella and pepper jack the other dukes mayo and sundried tomatoes and sauted onions. Then add your meat, For the meat turkey or ham, you want that umph. Put the meat on the side of the bun with no cheese and toast it again till the cheese looks like it's about to brown. Pull it out Then add pickles and chopped lettuce. Close the sandwich up and wrap it in wax paper and let it sit in your oven while it soaks up the flavors. That is the new way to eat a sandwich. Don't just mulch up everything cold
This is pretty much jersey mikes, but chopped. right down to the red wine viniger and chutny in place of the pepper rellish. it looks really good, and i am going to have to try the chopped method.
Why do I love this idea. Of all the damn things the internet throws in my face, I’m happy about this one
Appreciate you
Nah everything falls out when you start eating it

Definitely support the chopping of the veggies. No tomato sliding out! Interesting idea ❤
Thank you! It’s so good 🙏
Fun fact it would still taste the same without chopping
Now that just wouldn’t be fun at all would it
can't wait for the next new way of making sandwiches - the blended way
😂😂😂!!!
This is a crazy good idea! Definitely trying this over the weekend!
