I actually implemented this method at lunch today. I pulled the meat off three barbecued baby back ribs, added some Vidalia onion and dill pickles and extra Sweet Baby Ray's. I chopped it all up scopped it into a toasted sub roll and had me a faux McRib sandwich. Delicious!
today at work for lunch I did the same thing! but instead I used some leftover shrimp, bacon, Doritos, chocolate syrup, ground beef, some pickles, garlic, cinnamon toast crunch (for sweetness), and chicken. drench it all with ketchup and soy sauce.I then tossed it into a bun and it’s good to go! It smelt absolutely rancid but it was delicious nonetheless. this was the best sandwich i’ve ever had in 43 years! gave it to my 23 year old son for his birthday yesterday and it was so good he was speechless… literally. He collapsed on the ground and it turned out to be high cholesterol .
Best part about making a sandwich is there are no dishes imo. Way faster to just slap everything on some bread and get to work. This might be nice for a weekend for brunch or something though.
Best part about making crap a$$ food is you can just pretend that throwing your food in a blender is fancy. You're one step away from eating pureed foods for old people who can't chew.
Chicken salad never said to puree me so you can pretend you're 97 and have no teeth. Why don't you just make your poopy sandwiches into liquid so you can drink them?
I NEVER thought of this. The only downside I see is that sometimes it’s satisfying to have the texture of biting a solid piece of meat, cheese or vegetable. But other than that. This is perfect.
My mother used make this back in 1980's this isnt new at all. She'd prepare a large bowl of all the chopped ingredients, toast the rolls, then tell us to make our own.
I think this would work well with a hot sandwhich and not a cold one, but instead of chopping the cheese add it after so it melts all the ingredients together. Looks really good though
can’t believe more companies haven’t did it like this or anybody for a long time i’ve always done it this way mainly because everything was more compressed in and felt more secure
I remember like 20 years ago a bakery near work used to do a chopped turkey ham cheese and spring onion thing. I used to have it most days and it was delicious It’s only since this trend has come in that I remembered it and have started making it at home (obviously with a little Mayo) This looks delicious also. Will try
My brother and I live in Florida, but he and his fiancé are going to New York for an undetermined amount of time. They’re leaving on Sunday. It’s a long story. Anyway they’ll be renting a place on 26th and Park and I told him to go to Farmer in the Deli. It’s about a 20 minute drive, or 40 minutes by mass transit. From what I can tell, that place seems to be the Head Honcho of that sandwich. I don’t know…it looks delicious to me.
I get it... I've done it, I won't do it again. Not saying it's bad. Normally I make a sube or sandwich, it is mostly on a paper towel, sometimes a plate. So most time all I wash is a butter knife. Now I need to chop it up. For that now I need to wash a cutting board and the 1 or 2 utensils used for chopping and mixing. Now I need to mix it. Better to be in a bowl or it goes all over the place as you see with the mess outside the cutting board. So now I need to wash a bowl. It just takes more time and adds more work for something that should be much simpler. If I want a sandwich or a sub, it's because I want something quick and simple.

Same with tuna salads 😢

I made this sandwich today for dinner. It was amazing! I wouldn't put salt on it again but other then that I loved it.
Love to hear it! ❤️

chopping and adding spreads all together gives best taste

There a famous deli in New York that does this with their sandwiches as well .
Love it
Those chunky sandwich spreads: *"You couldn't live with your failure and where does that bring you? Back to me."*
❤️
That's called a salad
Thanks ❤️

I love chopped salads so this right up my alley…
So good!
Looks looks good. But I'm still going with the old way. Lol
Fair enough 😂
Fun fact it would still taste the same without chopping
Now that just wouldn’t be fun at all would it
Basically egg salad or tuna sandwiches
Ok I might have to try this when I work tomo lol
Let me know how it goes! 🙏
Yuk, the nursing home sandwich

I've been doing that for years. The same with salads. It is the best way of doing it.

It's like pre-chewed.
so chopped, yeah

I used to do this when I was a kid but I used shredded cheese
Nice!

What kind of cheese are you using?
It makes so much sense…

Im all for chopping the salad but ill leave the meats in slices so you can control the ratio for each bite
Salad on a bun!
When chutney became fancy 😮

Celery and chives with mayo amd some avacodo

Wow, used to do this in HS with the sandwich and salad bar, just chop everything in the bowl and throw it between bread.
So good!

..Hoagie Salad, put the chopped sandwich interior into a bowl, slice the roll into crostini's...Place chopped "sandwich" onto bread like crackers...
