They just dont make movies like this anymore and never will, thank God there are an unlimited number of movies like this, and they're all on TH-cam for free, awsome!
Thank you, I tried to get my kids to watch some of these movies with real acting, plot lines and such but nah,,, they want explosions and dumb shit. Really good movies went the way of really good music, oversaturated and dumb. This is a black dude saying this. I got to liking old movies when late at night nothing else would be on back in the day,,,then realized the late night stuff was better than the prime time stuff. Just like good music, not many good movies either since the seventies. You gotta know, you commented
Always a Ridiculous thing to say. You're just basing that based on the films shown in cinemas and tv. Plenty of people are making fine quality films. Just seek and ye shall find.
Great film, no cursing, no blue screen or computer generated scenes. Don't get me wrong, they had special effects, but 99% of the movie is real acting.
Great performance from Mickey Rooney, he was a great actor from his tender age until his death, i remember him as a kid in the 70s, the neighbours use to gather in one house to watch him , a great actor
Rooney is a terrific actor and for once, Cochrane plays a savory decent character! Thank you for providing this interesting and nicely paced story. Performances are credible and lead to decent script!😊
Check out Mickey Rooney in the Bridges At Toko-Ri. A film abt the Korean War. My favorite Steve Cochran role was when he played Big Ed, in "White Heat."😊
This was amusingly ok, Mickey Rooney was good in serious movies like "Quicksand" 1950, "Drive A Crooked Road" 1954 & "Baby Face Nelson" 1957 but in this movie when I watched him I kept thinking of Edward G. Robinson, James Cagney or George Raft in this role. They were known for gangster tough guy roles & if not them then maybe Neville Brand or Lee J. Cobb ? Why Mickey Rooney ?? When he smoked a cigar I instantly thought of Edward G. Robinson it was right up his alley. Steve Cochran was good in a rare working family man role. He usually played cops & gangsters. I enjoyed this.
After these events, the relationship between Dennis and Good Ole Mr Wilson was greatly improved. Dennis learned to be more respectful. Mr Wilson to be more patient. .... Jeepers Mr Wilson, I could've been killed !!!
Wow the man as the bad guy who set the man on fire. Great actor. I wish I could to see the some actor as he play the star the rise and fall of leg's diamond. Very good flick. And any of these old one's are just fine thanks good Friday stay at home and watch these flick all these actors was great utube is the best.
An outstanding cast, superb screenplay & a talented director illustrate the infiltration of the mob into America's labor unions, which had to be cleaned up & cleaned out. If young people today cared about American history & the rise of unions & the Labor Movement, they would watch these Film Noirs (also known as B-Movies); they would learn quite a bit since they don't read books & aren't taught anything worthwhile. That's why they'll be easily replaced by AI , & they won't even know it. They'll be slaves to the machine -- and they deserve it.😀😀😀😀😀
Hey! Just looked up at the TV screen and thought I saw that cool hep cat daddy o... Mel Tormé... I'll delete this if I'm wrong so... nevermind... possibly anyway
@ ZARA QUINN == THANKS !!! WOW what a lineup and as soon as LEO GORDONS name came in the credits WATCH OUT !!!!!! But unfortunately one missing 1959 character actor that's MISSING here is DICK MILLER but then again this is NOT a ROGER CORMAN film !!!!! That's LEO GORDON reporting to SHOP STEWARD OFFICE !!!!!! I,m typing in this comment while watching and maybe we will see a few BEATNIKS SHOW UP ????
Ridiculous casting! Rooney is badly mis-cast as the Jimmy Hoffa character, but worst of all is Mel Torme, nice singer but ludicrous when he tries to act tough! Thanks for posting this unintentionally hilarious movie.
Why do those on the left always have to bring race and/or politics,p into everything?but I should be thankful that this time it's only politics... can't you just enjoy a moment every now and then?granted, donald trump lives in your head, and you can't accept defeat, but why do you have to try to ruin everybody else's day because of it?oh,that's right-because you admire socialism-the party of envy and shared misery And 400 times?!?!?come on- if you want to wrongfully smear somebody, please try to make it seem somewhat believable
YES a lot of movie viewers SEE a bit of MEL GIBSON in the facial features of a MUCH YOUNGER STEVE COCHRAN !!!!!! if that's who you were referring to ******"
We forget just how talented Rooney was. Also, he transited from a child to an adult star in Hollywood, which is rare.
Too bad he could not get along with any of his EIGHT wives.
Jackie Coogan also started out as a child actor!
@ Haha, you had to bring that up!
I just can’t get over Mickey Rooney playing any kind of tough guy😂😂
This role reminds me of the characters played by Joe Pesci in Goodfellas and Casino
They just dont make movies like this anymore and never will, thank God there are an unlimited number of movies like this, and they're all on TH-cam for free, awsome!

@pressureworks you wish
@@valeriereaves4096 sure, sit at home and complain, instead of making the effort to discover fine films made around the world.
Yea funny u don’t name any either. Still waiting
Great film, no cursing, no blue screen or computer generated scenes. Don't get me wrong, they had special effects, but 99% of the movie is real acting.
Mickey Rooney, short of stature, but one of the biggest personalities in Hollywood!
Good film. Mickey Rooney was very good in this film. Thank you for posting.
Great performance from Mickey Rooney, he was a great actor from his tender age until his death, i remember him as a kid in the 70s, the neighbours use to gather in one house to watch him , a great actor
The brawl at the end was hilarious, the three stooges couldn't have done better.

Steve Cochran was the top Lothario in Hollywood in those days.
Great music
Parents emotions and care towards kids is same across all continents.
Check out Mickey Rooney in the Bridges At Toko-Ri. A film abt the Korean War.

The anti hero acting is very very natural and very good.
This is a really...good...movie.and I love the black plymouth
😂😂😂😂the fight scenes.
Mickey Rooney playing a heavy in this movie is like Captain Kangaroo playing Al Capone.
After these events, the relationship between Dennis and Good Ole Mr Wilson was greatly improved. Dennis learned to be more respectful. Mr Wilson to be more patient. .... Jeepers Mr Wilson, I could've been killed !!!
They don’t make filums like this anymore…thank God😺
He was so smart game show winner, that how he found what he was looking for 👍
Wow the man as the bad guy who set the man on fire. Great actor. I wish I could to see the some actor as he play the star the rise and fall of leg's diamond. Very good flick. The only movie with Thurston Howell III, Uncle Fester and Dennis the Menace!
Albert Zugsmith and Mamie Van Doren in tight clothing is always a winning combination
Mickey Rooney looks ridiculous with that cigar. Trying to look tough making up for his short stature.

Very profound statement. Society is about to be upended and people have very little knowledge about what is about to happen
@@JohnLockesReflection :I totally agree.
