@@AlexNie04 Just bought an i4+. The software version is 2.0.3. No option for mapings :(... When I go to "Settings / About / Robot Software" it says"Software update is currently unavailable". Can you help on how to get the 2.2.3 version ?
My Roomba stopped working with a red circle. Which I don't think is the dirt sensor problem, the dirt sensor should be a Blue circle. Also I have had multiple crashes of the robot with a message "reboot required".
@@blaynebeats7237 not really, it hasn't been happening really at all since I got the clean base. Overall the robot is still improving, they have released many new software releases that fixed a lot of the issues that it used to experience. However it still uses ground tracking based navigation, thus it is only reliable to a certain degree. I would recommend you get something with a vision based navigation system.
I am not sure how the firmware arrived, one day in March, the Roomba just started to behave differently than before. The software updates are supposed to be all automatic, so this firmware should install automatically when it arrives in your region. My region is US, so that might have caused the update to arrive early.
Be honest: is this an insane pain in the ass? It looks like beta software. Isn’t it infuriating to watch/use? I have wanted a robot vacuum for years but the tech seems so immature.

US is the region I chose, pretty sure.
So the mapping doesn’t show up on my i4+ evo. Strange
@@mohanmaddineni1150 see if your firmware has been updated to 2.2.3 or later. Also this feature might only be available in the US.

Some of your bugs may actually be dirty sensors that need wiping.

@@AlexNie04 you unlike most people actually have a real issue with there roomba and don’t jsut need to clean it
I have many other issues too, but these are just some of the software issues I have found with this update

How did you get the firmware update? My i4 is stuck on 1.2.24 and says no update is available

I was frustrated by this too but yesterday (5/2/22) it auto-updated and the map pin drop icon just appeared. ???
That's nice, if you get that map icon, it means that your Roomba can use smart map feature.

It isn't beta software anymore, iRobot has officially used this feature as their advertisement.
