Jumping up to #2 last year was huge. I thought this year would be a year to make a deep run in the playoffs, and that might still be true but I won't be confident until Hart is called up. He's been huge in preseason this year and hopefully he continues that play when called.
Next season, I suggested that the Flyers should be more aggressive. They didn’t hit to many people. Remember the broad street bullies, that’s how these guys should play.
Philly Sports Reports completely different era.. Although they can get tougher . they needs more speed and a better bottom 6 and jesus if they can just find a goalie....just find a goalieee
Why? They have the best skill lineup in the NHL. They can play tough but they don't need it. Their top 6 this coming season is one of the best of all time. Giroux (arguably the best player in the NHL), Simmonds (arguably the best power forward in the NHL), Vorecek (arguably a top 10 player in the NHL), Couturier (arguably the best defensive forward in the NHL who also scores now), Patrick (second half of last season he was one of the best rookies and a 2nd overall pick), JVR (played there before so he'll be comfortable, got seasoned with the Leafs, is now a constant 30 goal winger that's great from 4 feet out, also a 2nd overall), Konceny (one of the best up-and-comers), and they have very solid and some of the best 4th and 3rd liners like Laughton, Raffl, Weise, Lahtera, Goulbourne, and so on. Then they have all of the other great prospects like Weal, Lindblom, Leirer, Frost, and like I'll say again later, that's just the beginning. They still have like 10 other forwards that could play in the NHL. Now, defense. They have THE best defensive prospects in NHL history. (maybe a slight exaggeration but not by much). And, they have a great D core now. One of the best in the NHL. Gostisbehere (arguably the best offensive/defensive defenceman in the NHL. He does both better than any other D-man. There are others that are better offensively [very few though] and others better defensively but none that are very good at both like him), Provorov (arguably the best defensive d-man in the NHL), Gudas (the best hitter in the NHL that also plays solid D and has great corsi stats). MacDonald (a very good D-man and great for teaching the younger guys how to be a pro). Hagg (not great but very good and a great hitter). Morin (considered the best defensive prospect out there that isn't in the NHL) Sanheim (good enough to beat out Morin for a spot last season [Hagg too] and is a great hitter and great puck mover), and they still have like 5 other guys that could hang in the NHL. Now, their one and only issue. Goaltending. They need it badly. But, they have Hart. A 20 year old prospect that is supposed to be one of the best goalie prospects since guys like Roy, Hextall, Brodeur, and the other greats. This kid is the real deal. And, they still have other great goalie prospects. And, as long as Elliot (who has in the past proven he can be an elite goalie and we all know how those things come and go. Look at Rask, Holtby, Miller, and so on. All have been good, then bad, then good again. So he can still hang and have great seasons. Same with Neuvirth. And they still have Lyons and Stolarz.) can have a good season if they don't go with Hart, they are Cup bound no matter how much the refs rig the games against them. Can't stop them if they score and the other team doesn't. No matter how much they try. They just need to have a solid PK so when the refs do try to fuck them over as usual, it won't matter. And did I mention they have Giroux. The guy is a future Hall of Famer. I mean, he literally makes my jaw drop every game. Even if it doesn't lead to a goal it's either a pass that a demigod couldn't make, hands like Kane, or he just buries the puck. The guy is a legend. I mean, he had the 3rd best face-off percentage last season as a winger that took most of his line's face-offs. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Simmonds is also a top 5 fighter in the NHL. So, on paper, they are the best franchise in decades. Fact.
Heavens Edge brought me here and brought me to a permanent love for The Flyers and Phantoms. Heavens Edge were a local Philly band whose songs sum up my feelings for these boys, but I won't say anymore because it's too heavy and personal. Sorry folks if you want to know stuff that's really out there do it on your own. I love this team and I love that band, but I'm not going into stuff that is upsetting for me.
🧡🧡🧡 class on and off is number 1 thing ..... not out 3 am like Florida right in the strip club..... I already did all that stuff as a younger man it got me no where .... yes have fun sure but your in the playoffs guys like what is going on here and it was game day wow .... movie night rest up mabe take a girl out to dinner if your playing at home .... no excuse for that shit .... should have been in the hotel sleeping if thay where in Tampa...
Dawud Charlton Not a chance, I just saw a recent interview with Lundquist and he is all in and committed to the NY blue shirts. The Flyers are still stuck with our place holders in Elliot and Neurvirth in the net this year unfortunately, we can only hope is that if Carter Hart can come into training camp and demonstrate he can handle the goalie level of the NHL at such a young age because this organization desperately needs to be refreshed at that position. Back in "04" Marc Andre Fleury stepped right in for the Penguins at the similar age of the highly regarded Carter Hart of the Flyers " so it can happen one can only hope."

Liking the decisions hexy and the staff have been making the past couple years tho, been a minute since I’ve had this much faith in the squad
