Hi Steph Beautiful, I think every Gentlemen in this World will be agree that Madona and Maerot will be proud of you, Steph. Yups, thats right, because you play The Bass was so Cool, was so wonderful and Amazing. By the way, Thank you for the Tabs, its really help me to play the Bass just like you Beautiful.
Nice! That's a great baseline. I remember when the song came out.....but 30 years later, after learning drums, I appreciate and respect that bass groove
These bass cover videos are inspiring. I watch bass covers to convince myself to start learning how to play bass (something I have been putting off for a long time). Thanks for sharing your talent! :-) P.S. could you also do the bass for Madonna's Borderline?
Thank you I appreciate it 🙂 I’m actually running through 3 pedals here, a Boss oc-3 super octave, an Aguilar chorusaurus and an MXR envelope filter. I would presume nowadays there are single pedals that can replicate this sort of sound without using both the chorus and an envelope filter, but I went with Guy Pratt’s original method :)
@@StephHooton Nice, my ears picked up the tone change from the MXR. I've got a Bass Synth Wah and it never sounds the same twice. Must check out the Aguilar chorus, though I have too many of them. Sounded great, keep up the great work.
Man, I wish I could have been there in 1988 to see Madonna write that exotic bass line. What? You mean Madonna has never wrote a bass line in her life?? and has no idea how to even play a Bass Guitar? You mean other (actually talented) musicians did literally all of the work, and then Madonna came in and sang (studio enhanced) vocals?? Yeah.......that makes more sense LOL
According to Guy Pratt she kept pushing him for more and more. The composition and bass playing wasn't hers, but she definitely had and artistic vision for this album. She's still a great musician, and artists, even though her art is mainstream.
Finally a bass video where you can hear the bass
One of the sharpest versions out there. Truest to the setup! You have some serious groove my friend :)
Closest cover i found to Guy Pratt 's playing! Congrats 👏👏
