Should have a sheriffs office that the people actually vote for the sheriff. Like irl. And the sheriffs appoints their deputies. They’d owe their job to the people, and have a set term before a new vote, it would help keep at least one PD department reliant on the people, and owing their job to them.
Agreed and also that's the role of a mayor. A mayor is an elected head of a municipalities executive branch meant to do basically the same thing as a sheriff without actually being a cop. The main difference being one is the head of a city executive branch the other is the head of a county executive branch
i do like the idea, but i'd argue they'd have to implement a none-felony only vote for the Sheriff like you have it IRL. You don't want to have a sheriff who is beholden to the crims whom make up the large majority of the city.
@@negoblle yeah it's really dope. I just saw the clip of someone shouting near him to a cop that they can't wait to shoot em w tuggs then Brian goes oh yeah I won't be here tomorrow guys xD
I love mehdi but my adhd was so triggered when hes taking 10 mins to get through 1 paragraph, re-reading lines constantly haha. Update: 17 mins in and my adhd is so triggered i could have read the document 27000 times since the start of the video
I feel like its more of a admin input then anything. Feels like admins don't want PD to be without constant admin control in Np. And next mayors may not be admins. Maybe wrong tho.
The funniest/sadest/pathetic part of this is, it is probably teaching a lot of people about civics and how at least the American form of government works than most of them learned in school. Or most of their teachers knew. American education is really pathetic currently.

Great idea and puts the choice in the hands of the people which really encourages community engagement

the problem with that is lspd still lack manpower and with how ths captain are managing things some of the lspd cop will just transfer department

The mayor and deputy mayor will still be the ultimate top of the chain of command even if sheriffs were a thing
It’s honestly crazy this hasn’t been done in the past and the captains resistance to it is very telling lol
It hasn't been done because server management did not want to give this power to the mayors in 3.0. They decided to do it for 4.0.
Mehdi is great at swapping characters and having the internal monologue
Yeah, in no small part because he rp’s characters so he actually ‘gets into character’

Hahah i love when you swap from tuggs and see whats coming for PD its so fun xD
Bryan Knight plays tuggz?!

Its not that deep, the editor of this video is lazy. They could have skipped through the pauses he took.
I started watching videos in 2x and I can’t go back now everything feels like it’s in slow motion lol
Was just gunna say x2 is kinda the only way to watch some people @Dwalk112
so it's basically "we think PD is moving way to slow so we're going to take over"
The changes are good
It’s funny that this may not have kicked off without Cornwood getting suspended which at least one of those daps came from an incident with Brian.
this legislation was written aday before cornwood was suspended and crane is the one who help the mayor iron out this legislation to be passed
It being a sunset clause seems like a ill advised step.
True but the sunset clause was one of the reasons it was actually passedr

Juno as commissioner ??? Or James Randall
watch on x2 for your own sanity
there are some cops that aren't going to wake up
They need to watch blue bloods amazing tv show❤️
The Economy of words is a inspiring idea. Say more with less and get to the point in the least confusing way.

Like Ruth thinking the pd is a branch of government
