"Wisdom is more about what you lose" what did he lose? So this monk had an external journey to "meet Manjushri" in Mt Wutai thinking he would meet a beautiful experience like a Vision of a God but instead he was experiencing different problems of "suffering" due to his attachment or clinging to his wish, and the manifestation of the Suffering came as seeing people partying, unkindness of others, women and alcohol temptation of worldly pleasure, physically suffering from snow and freezing temperatures, and being ridiculed and mocked by people for his good intentions to make a spiritual pilgrimage. He left paradise in his monastery to enter a Universe of what is considered hell, a place full of desire, delusion and bottomless pit of disappointment. He is blessed by his Rinpoche who granted his wish to meet Manjushri on his pilgrimage. I would have loved to hear him narrating what he "saw with his Buddha eyes" of Manjushri aka Wisdom. The tibetan art symbol for Wisdom is the Wise eye, known as the third eye. The filmaker sure made those Tibetan girls look demonic.
Wordly attachments are a terrible obstacle to wisdom, indeed. They come as fears and desires. Manjushri urges us to follow our own Tantra, or path of radical acceptance.
