    I can’t wait to attempt making these! We have 15 hens who desperately need them! 🐓

    Thank you so much for this pattern. I had never heard of one, but our hen desperately needs one. My husband ordered one off Etsy today, but I told him that I can sew one myself. I found your pattern and our Etsy order is canceled.

    Awesome! My husband gave me a pair of his old jeans and I used my son's old "Cars" curtains and made a Lightning McQueen one in blue not red. We'll try it on the hen tonight when my husband gets home. Now make more.

    I've never heard of such a thing as being a city slicker for most of my life. How cute. You learn something new every day.

      They are used on hens (real ones) to keep hawks from grabbing the hens and killing them. They are very effective at saving the birds from them.

      @@suemckee1598 Well, I'll be. Thanks for the info. If I kept hens, I would need to make these as we do have hawks where I live now.

      They also protect hens from overly aggressive roosters during breeding.

    Thank you so much for this pattern! Some of my hens could use one. Instead of jeans i will be using batting because I have tons of that leftover from quilts. And minky.

    If you decide to make one for your own hen, be sure to use a longer piece of elastic. You will need to stretch that elastic around a large wing to get it in place. There is no way you can get an actual chicke.wing through that little space. Js 😊

      I made one with the size of elastic giving in an another video and I find it’s too small but I was able to put it in place ! It was hard but I was able ! But I will recommand like you to make it a little bit more longer for sure it will be more easier !

    This tutorial is great! Love the finish product. I have one question. How to I make my own template how do I measure that. This template would be to big for my chickens. My chickens are Serama chickens and are really small. ☺️

    • @HelloSewing
      @HelloSewing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try to print it at 80-85 % and check for fit. Adjust if needed
