Thank you for posting this audio! I was at this show with a friend, the only time I got to see Guns live. It stands out because it was an awesome show, and because of the fact that my buddy I was with encouraged us to "move down" as close as we could after the show started. I was hesitant because we could see just fine and I was loving the show, but yep I followed my friend's lead, and we got down to the lower level seats. Now here we are, 3 or 4 songs into Guns set, and we are taking a chance getting kicked out trying to get into the lower seat rows. It paid off I guess, we ended up being in the first few rows, but off stage right, right below Slash. So the tradeoff being, we could not really see anyone else in the band, but we had a grand view of Slash and his bandmates only when they made their way to his area of the stage. Anyway, great show, great view of Slash and we are loving it. Then about half way through Guns set, a number of folks come down the row right in front of us. This dude with super long hair sits right in front of me, and he is damn tall with no shirt. This guy is really into the show, all sweaty and swinging his hair back into my face without a care, I thought it was sort of a dick thing to do. Then,..after a song, he turned around to high five one of his buddies sitting next to him and I recognized him. It was Sebastian Bach from Skid Row, who had just opened for Guns that night, coming out to check out the set from the headliner. My only true brush with a famous person I guess, but it has always been my favorite story to tell my friends. I never said a word to the dude, but it is a great memory, and I love Skid Row and Guns and Roses to this day. That was a super fun night, and glad I followed my buddy to sneak down to better seats!
Thanks for your review. Do you know if this show was recorded for more anyone? By the way, do you remember if Slash jumped on the ramps? His costumes/clothes and if Axl was wearing his kilt and chest protector?
