Shambhavi Mahamudra Timer with Preparatory Asanas

- This is a timer for those that have completed "Inner Engineering Completion." Please see below for information.
~~~~~~~~~~
Important Note:
Ideally, we should not need this timer after we have initially learned all of the steps and had some practice. The reason I created this timer video was that when I was first initiated, the app wasn't ready for me to use, but I needed/wanted to get started with my practices right away.
Meditation is not about concentration and it doesn't come from concentration. Concentration means being router in your mind and thereby identifying with it or still thinking the practice instead of imbibing it. Please do the practice on your own pace and don't follow a timer. It is not about doing it exactly for 2 minutes. It is about doing it with full involvement and that has nothing to do with timing. The timing is there to guide you in the beginning. But if you pay attention you will know when to stop and it is about the ability to pay attention. Pay attention to you body not to a clock or timer.
Will the admin care to comment on it
The body / mind / deeper understanding begins to know by itself the exact time. Without a timer, body begins to simultaneously align with the practise that is alive. Using a timer in the beginning is useful, but as one practise it with total surrender and devotion to the process, not attaching any expectation and result, the deeper understanding that is within ourselves begin to smoothen, relax, calm itself, and starts to know it intuitively.
I am not sure, but I think this was what Sadhguru was describing when he said that, one will know exactly what to do. All i can say is, I am very grateful to the process that I have learned and even more grateful to the guru who taught me just like that. 🙏🙏🙏
My views are different. When one has to work without timer, one is more focussed on thoughts like "Okay I have to stop", Okay did I count 21 or 22, oh shall I stop, it's enough time maybe...etc etc.
but when these things are taken care of one becomes relaxed and can then focus on breath and turn inwards without having to care about counts and timings.
I guess we are saying the same thing, it is just that what works for everyone.
What us more important is that a person is able to go into that phase of turning inwards. How it happens is not that important.
Thanks for your well explained answer.
I have been using a recorded timer like this video.
I will go without from now on. F**k it.
A mí contar me hace poner un poco de orden en la meditación.. por ahí te equivocas es porque tú vigilia baja la guardia...
Me quedo con la guía hasta donde pueda.😅
Gracias y felicidades
Aida
What an awesome creative way for the Aum chant. Thank you so much for doing this recording. It will help millions!
Please Don't forget the innvocation before and after the practice 🥺 🙏
is that sanscrit?
@@jackgri96 yes Jack. Its Sanskrit Mantra
I think it’s needed only during starting and ending any ceremony not for Kriya!
It is optional but recommended to chant before any Sadhana @@aspirant7225
its sUrya mantra from veda
Using this for the 40 day mandala as on the Sadhguru app it’s only one guided practice per day now so just till I get better with the practice will use this. 3 days in and already see my body getting comfortable day by day.
There is an alarm that let’s you schedule twice a day, at least now there is.
Sadhguru app mandala feature has only guided practice, because you're supposed to do the second one on your own. So that you don't end up becoming dependent on an external object.
The Meditators should be able to do their Shambhavi on their own by the end of the Mandala without any external support.
I don't understand, why some Meditators use their own head when they're not supposed to. Just do as you're told.
@@sushree5683 Namaskaram, I had written this comment about 2 years back when I was initiated online and I’m still doing Shambhavi to the date on my own every single day twice (never missed). I even recently did the new inner engineering course and BSP at the ashram. I’m high on volunteering every now and then like yesterday at someone’s houses punya pooja, I’ve experienced huge success at an early age and I literally am like an ambassador of IE. Now all this is not to flex but make your Narrow mind expand and understand do what works for u I had a tough time with Shambhavi initially so don’t close yourself to stuff experience stuff I mean if “not using ur head” works for you well and good but don’t project your stuff to others, accept the fact that we don’t know 99.9999% of the cosmos and focus on yourself rather than spreading personalized narrow minded advice. Namaskaram🙏
Thanks for reuploading. At times(when we get a break for practice), sambavi practice link doesn't appear in Isha app. Then this video comes to help. Beginners need timer so that they concentrate on kriya. Kindly do not remove.
Exactly
Same problem! Isha app has worked for 8 days and now it tells me i have to be initiated in shambhavi ... this makes me really sad because i paid and love isha foundation
Thank you so much, i finished my inner engineering, this is what i was searching to practice for the second time in the same day.
Thank you so much this is an amazing support for the Shambhavi Mahamudra kriya practice. I just finished the initiation last week and have been struggling with the timing so thanks again. 🙏😊
Thank you so much today I accidentally clicked on I practiced by myself on application so I I am going to miss my evening practice without guidance and today it is my third day after initiation so I really needed guidance and I checked on TH-cam so I found your video and this really helped me thank you so much what is effort❤
My pleasure-was helpful for me in the beginning so thought I’d share… just in case anyone else could also use it to get started. 🙏🥰
Thank you so much 😊🙏
May God bless you , this is going to help lot of new Shambhavi practitioners like me !
Gratitude to you and your Team ☺️👍
The kriya is designed to take you inwards so no timers or stopwatches are to be used.
Just be aware of the timings and do the kriya, you ll become consistent with practice .
Please don't use any watches or timers and keep your eyes closed throughout the kriya.
When I first started… I just needed/wanted to remember the steps and also needed help with getting the timing correct. I do understand and agree that after initially learning… we should all do without the needs of any timers. 🙏
Not a human clock. Hence timer is much needed. The commenter himself needed the timer, hence he was here 😂
😂@@JLOVES
@@Bondgamer02Don't disregard the guidelines by Sadhguru. There is no point doing the practice like this always.
You can use timer initially. But please don't get dependent on it. You're supposed to do the practices on your own. Once you start doing it on your own, your brain, your body will keep time for you. Don't get yourself dependent on this.
@@JLOVESthanks admin ❤
You did a fantastic job Akka by posting this 🙏
Thankyou so much for uploading this very helpful video. I’ve just taken the course and this video helped me greatly complete my mandala kriya . 🙏🏼 Namaskaram.
Want to thank admin for this as I want to go back and practice
Thank you for creating this very nice and useful timer video. Very helpful to stay the course🙏🏻
I was thinking how to start the practice from tomorrow- I’m super happy to see this video to get started. I know timer is just a guidance for initial days but this is amazing many many thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this recording. Such an immense help. Very grateful 🙏.
13:07 for 21 minutes
bruh then we can do shambavi without prep asanas right... this is jus stressing me
after so many search I founnd this video. Thanks
13:07 Begining of Shambhavi Mahamudra kriya
1:58 Start of preparatory asanas
This was really helpful. Thank you 😊
Thank you very much for making this ❤😊
Thank you so very much !! I'm most grateful to you for posting this.
May you and yours be well and happy :)
Thanks tonnes. It's so helpful for the ones who completed the course from Isha to practice at home. You have done a wonderful job🙏 Best wishes
Precious!… those gentle sea waves… 🙏🏻
thank you very much , this is very helpful
Thanks so much! I just completed yesterday and missed a practice session in the App today. I was searching for this guided audio so that I can practise. This helps a lot!
Thankyou for ReUploading..🙏
Thank you for uploading this video
Really helpfull 😊 thank you so much 🙏🏻❤
This is Very Useful
thank you for uploading 🙏🙏
Namaskaram @jloves thank you for this.
Thank you so much!
Very helpful. I have been doing practice for quite sometime. I found this guide and it was a good checkpoint. Just that the waves seem to be shorter for me.
I agree. I think aum chanting should be slowed down a bit.
So useful - thank you! 🙏
Thanks for uploading this, using it everyday. It's almost perfect but I wish you'd added a few seconds after sukha kriya before starting chanting. It takes a little longer sometimes to close the kriya depending on where you are with the breathing cycle and the count starts before that.
My pleasure… and yes… I caught a change or so that could improve, but I’m not sure if I can update it. If I end up having time, I’ll see if I can try… 🙏.
Yes so true
Thankyou 🙏
Lots of Thanks
Thanks J~love.
Thank you!
Thank you so much
Thanks for it ❤ 😊
Thank you 🙏🏽
is this Sambhavi Mahamudra?
All rules are my rules?? Where was this in I.E.??? Don't recall him talking about this, can anyone enlighten me please?
Sadhguru refers to it as the 2-minute Inner Engineering crash course reminders… and the “all the rules are my rules” is the first one. If you have the Sadhguru app, you can search for “crash” and his explanation will come up.
@@JLOVES Jloves I love you thanks!!!
My pleasure… 🙂🙂
Namaskaram🙏
For alternating nostrils we start inhaling with left nostril and we end exhaling through left nostril right?
Yes-I believe that is correct or at least, that’s how I’ve been doing it. 🙏
Alternating nostrils starts with Exhaling thru left nostril & ends with the exhalation of the left nostril itself.
Yes.
There are trained teachers to ans queries please understand this is not the way. And you're doing it wrong
Always start w/an exhale
Thank you for this and God Bless you!!! One question - what is done in conclusion?
Hi… please always refer all questions and such to the Isha Foundation innerengineering.sadhguru.org/online/blog/contact-us
Thanks. However the timing between the asanas and kriyas are too close. No time at all for getting up and starting next position.. 😮
Sorry to hear that for you… 🙏
I couldn’t take a lot of time to make it “perfect” because I was just trying to help myself and others who needed something in the very beginning of our journey and the app wasn’t available to us yet. 🙏
can i do it after finishing of 7 days inner engineering course......but without any idea of inner engineering completion course ? i haven't done shambhavi mahamudra yet......can i start doing it by watching this vdo? it is ok? i'm so confused.....pls help : /
Please always contact Isha Inner Engineering directly for all questions. This is a requirement from them, but no you shouldn’t do anything without going through the initiation from and with them. Many continued blessings. 🙏
@@JLOVES okk. gotcha :)
@@JLOVES I've done initation.. but still I'll ask them about it
I have recently started practicing it but i like my own pace with the kriya rather than the guided one... 😅
That’s great… 🙏.
It is advised and better for all of us to eventually do it on our own… without timers or prompts.
But when I first started, the app to initially help us with timers took a few days before being available… hence, why I created something to help me when I needed it. 🙏
Good job actually many are facing the same issue😊
1:20 Yes, you are the main brain process which uses the body and the mind (sub processes of the brain).
The hardest part for me is sitting still at the very end (just observing the breath) for some reason. Anyone else struggling with this or have any tips?
Hi! Maybe others will have some tips.
I think, for me, over time… it got easier… and I like to think of any quiet meditation time as special relaxing/break time and that kind of helps me sink into it and enjoy. 🙏🙂
Please put aum chanting sound if possible, thanks!
I wish I could… but I’m pretty sure that’s why the last video was flagged and removed.
For the AUM’s… there’s a very light rain sound that plays 21 times to try to assist with count. Hope it helps some. Thanks. 🙏♥️
Please someone tell me js this the actual Shambhavi mahamudra practice that we have to pay for in the sadguru app?
I would not say that it is the “actual” practice. I created this to help me when I need the timing outside of the app… but ideally, we all learn to do the practice without any needs for timers and such. 🙏🙏
@@JLOVES Thank you😊
Are preparatory asanas mandatory to be done everyday along with Shambhavi?
Hi… I believe, yes.. but all questions and help should come directly from the Inner Engineering team so you ensure you get the best and correct information. 🙏Here’s the support webpage with their contact info: support.innerengineering.com/en/support/home
@@JLOVES Sure, thank you🙏🏻
Wish Suka Kriya didn’t come in so Quick. After “10” overall still helpful.,
When doing the 3 locks, do I only release the diaphragm and anal locks at the very end, even when throat is released half way? Thanks
Hi and thank you for the message. I apologize, but I’m not qualified to answer… please work with or contact the Inner Engineering team - they are the only reliable source. isha.sadhguru.org/us/en/inner-engineering
The neck lock is released first followed by diaphragm and then anal lock.
Who else hear it as “Shambhavi Mamahaya”? 😂
Please could you upload a video tutorial for the asana?
Hello. All learnings are offered through www.innerengineering.com. 🙏🙏🙏 | Everyone is asked not to try to instruct on any parts because we likely aren’t qualified and will not relay the teachings the right way. 🙏
I understand. Thank you 🙏
🙏
Black screen ??
Are you asking if this can play with a black screen? If so, does your phone allow for you to turn the screen off while playing a video? My iPhone allows for this. I just play the video and then hit the power button and it turns the screen off. 🙏
Thanks Akka 🙏
Thank you so much. Cause I totally would have forgot the invocation 😭😵💫🫣
Hi, I am a devotee of sadhguru, I have been initiated already. This I know because the things that have happened to me could not have happened by just chance. I have been practicing this kriya and I've been seeing the benefits but I know I'm not following due process, I'm just going by my intuition. I'd like to enhance my accuracy of this kriya practice. Would you mind if we chat privately?
Connect with the volunteers or persons connected with Inner Engineering…. they will be the only ones that can help with any guidance. 🙏
Hey! I’ve been initiated but forgot when to do the yoga mudra can anyone tell me?
Happy to hear of the initiation! For all questions, please make sure you only get answers from Inner Engineering support. From my experience, they are responsive and always helpful. isha.co/IE_Support_Form
Thanks for uploading this video🙏
