Great video. My two favorite sleds that bring me back to 9th grade. Like a time machine. Wow they both are in great shape, yes your videos get me motivated to work on my own projects. I live in Alaska, lately we have very little snow as well. Look forward to seeing the XCR800 progress. If you need pistons for the 404 let me know. A buddy of mine has a lot of the old 404 big bore parts.
hey man. Looks like the channel is doing well, glad you stuck with it. Can't wait for snow here, its coming down in the mountains but not down here yet.
This reminds me of my only ride from last year; two sleds, circling around the yard. A '98 Indy 500 Classic and a '95 Indy Super Sport. For this season, I did pick up a '78 Cobra 440 that is ride ready!
Man I grew up riding mountain and always laughed at those heavy sleds with reverse! Now almost 40, with back problems I understand. Wish I would have had one years ago!
Thanks. We were headed to thief river falls for parts the next day and I'd say the heaviest snow was between Princeton and St Cloud. Only saw a short set of tracks in the ditch near Isanti.
You lucky guy!!! You got snow and a few good blams in!!! 👍 As my handle is Indy Guy Rob, I of course love these sleds lol Like you, my 83 600 is one of my favourites👌. Love the unique color scheme of the 82/83’s, and the 83 600 cylinder classic style font There’s actually a few 1yr only things on the 83 600’s I also have an 82 Indy 500 that needs to be restored, fairly rare sled Thanks for the video Nutter🍻
I haven't fired my sled in 2 years now. The last 2 winters have been the worst I have ever seen. 🤞this winter is better and the 4 wheeler can get a break and some maintenance.
1st snow. Right on. Here in Colorado the whole state is supposed to get some snow monday. Did polaris only have the lettered heads in 83. They make the enigine pop.
That is the only year with the early slant script. Later 600s had the later block letter logo. If you get lucky you might find a pre-production Indy 400 head with the slant script. I've seen a couple.

Always fun to get that first ride in...such a good feeling! Thanks for the video bud
As a teenager, I too couldn't wait for winter. I would ride in our pasture field on the early morning frost on the grass.
Sick sleds. Got me inspired to work on my 85 600 again
Those are two beautiful indys
Agreed!
Thankyou

Great sleds! Man this put me in full swing for winter!
Right on!
Dad always said ? When we have 3 inches on the ground , we ride , so many trips back & forth outside with the tape measure , it was like torture !
It was the same at my place but my dad tried to make me wait for a foot of snow. I never waited LOL!
@ walk outside , come back in with snow on your foot , time to ride ?
Nothing like a little late fall early winter yard aeration😂
Very nice. I think we are in for a great winter.
I hope you are right!
Pray for great winter to run 🏁👍☮️🇺🇸
Sunday morning routine. Coffee and some nutters speed shop with my 6 year old daughter lol
Love it!!
I'm glad not to see that snow here yet have field work to finish. Good to see you have fun in the snow
It was gone the next day. I need to finish Patti!
Love that!! Love the 600s and the sound too!! We have no snow yet!!
I don't have snow anymore. It was gone the next day. Gotta ride when you can!
Great looking sleds! Can't wait for that white lumpy rain!
You and me both!

Cobras are cool!
Man I grew up riding mountain and always laughed at those heavy sleds with reverse! Now almost 40, with back problems I understand. Wish I would have had one years ago!
Great sleds ! I wish I still had my 83 600. I had more fun back then. Great to see you got a quick first ride ! Hope you have a great winter !
Thanks, you too!
A couple nice looking sleds. Great job on the late fall lawn aeration! Dual purpose video! 😂
Thanks 👍
Love it! Over the river in Western Wisco we got some flurries but nothing stuck. Glad you got to enjoy a little seat time even if it was brief.
Thanks. We were headed to thief river falls for parts the next day and I'd say the heaviest snow was between Princeton and St Cloud. Only saw a short set of tracks in the ditch near Isanti.
Reminds me of my 488 Indy trail
So great you got to take an early season ride (especially after last year)! Very jealous from here in Michigan!
Thanks!
I've always been more of a leaf spring txl guy but man I really dig that cross country.
I like my leaf spring TXLs too, but that cross country is such a great trail sled that it needs some love.
That's prime Ohio riding conditions there!
LOL!

Thanks Rob!
Good to see you got to ride
Travel Wisconsin Website would report conditions as “Excellent “
Very true! Especially the Hayward area!
👍 not a flake in Winnipeg yet
Lucky!!
Sleds are purring and the dogs are barking. Better start than last year.
Absolutely!
Those are sweet sleds!
Wait till you guys get that XC 700 ripping around ;)
Can't wait!
I haven't fired my sled in 2 years now. The last 2 winters have been the worst I have ever seen. 🤞this winter is better and the 4 wheeler can get a break and some maintenance.
You should do a video of all of your sleds!
That’s a great idea 👍

Nice score on the SLP big bore, surely can't be many left. Been too long for my memory to recall- what did they use for pistons in that kit?
I'm not sure. I heard kawi but I don't know which kawi.
Is there a way you could get the smell of two-stroke to come out of the speaker on my phone while you do that?
Best I can do is suggest that you use Polaris Vintage 2 stroke oil in your chain saw, since you live down South LOL
Do u think the parts sleds in the trees get sad seeing sleds out ripping 😂
LOL
Skäl ,
The sound of a old piston port engine is the best.
I agree.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!! Can you guys go over the Altitude Compensation Device on Polaris Snowmobiles?
Thanks
Ive never seen one of those devices and I don't anticipate seeing one since I live in Minnesota.
