How to clean washable Furnace air filter properly

The K&N HVAC filter has been a huge win for the home during these hot summers and cold winters. A washable filter for the home that saves time and money with a good clean every 3 months or so. Simple maintenance that goes a long way for the power bill.

Nice video. Idk about the re spray at the end before re- install. The AC is just kicking those fresh chemicals into the air.

What household products can I use to clean the super expensive3 KN solution?? …otherwise this process costs more and it’s more work.

You missed the part where it says wet both sides with water first.
Then spray the dirty side with the spray.
Wait 3 minutes and wash from clean side to dirty side.
Once dry, spray the dirty side.

Is there an alternative to K & N filter cleaner like using regular dish soap with water or something else?

I don't agree with the prices for throwaway filters. Not too long ago very cheap ones were just a few dollars. Last year, more like $8-$12. Wash from clean side OUT.
