- The Taliban is joining a United Nations-organised meeting, for the first time.
The two-day event in Doha will focus on international engagement, as well as the Afghan economy and women's rights.

The use is to have a place to bring every one together to talk about these issues. The UN is not the boss of anybody. If any country decides to oppress or harm another, it is the fault of that country, not of the UN.

If you want Afghanistan to prosper including women , then you must remove the restrictions and blockade on Afghanistan. Their land suffered from the wars instigated by the Soviet Union and later America for decades which is the root cause for all of this mess in affairs including the poverty and lack of education.

Although I don't think UN has any rights to talk about that but taliban needs to fix their views.
For example not letting to study and trying to force everything on women isn't the correct way of islam. Everybody is responsible for their own doing and they don't need to stop women from working.
Woman can work from home and their husband can sell those in public. Similarly there can study in separate classes, doesn't need to stop them studying. If they don't let women study then who is gonna educate the kids in home?
Also in Islamic history women were also well educated. Not sure what they're trying to do
