It's a very good manga. However I think the manga is still better. The artist is capable of drawing a volleyball match with such an ease and it's easy to understand what's happening. Everytime I read 1 chapter I get chills.
Irem Kalaycioglu Like I said earlier, I don't think it's hard to read at all. You just need to get used to the artist's art. It's actually pretty easy to understand what is happening.
I don´t like sports but after watching this anime I think it made me change my mind. It really helped to see (at least for me) some scenes slow down so I could understand what was happening and to see how they move and their technique better. I LOVE this anime!
HAIKYUU was the reason I enjoy volleyball I’m trying out volleyball tryouts for junior high. Because of Nishinoya I’m trying to get the Libero position. I surprisingly have very fast reflexes, but I can’t control the direction of the ball quite yet. Wish me luck.
The thing I like about haikyuu is that even though time slows down so you can see what's going on better but they still always react immediately like it slows down and they're already moving

i'm a former volleyball player too. and this anime took me back. i love it. my serve and practice time was the reason i was granted pass for varsity at a younger age. my serve is kinda like something from this anime possibly. on the edge of being unusable in an actual game due to the toss being too high. (coach told me to watch it) but its how i serve. and thats how i score aces.

I love that the hangtimes are in slow mo, but kind of unrealistic when they think so much when the hangtime is happening lololol, and this was like the finals (for each Japan's prefecture or in the US, a state), in case you don't know. So they were the two teams who compete to go to the nationals.

I have been playing volleyball for 5 years now, and I started watching haikyuu for 2 years now. I agree with the hang time I hoped I could stay that much time on the air BUT there are a lot of thing that are accurate in haikyuu with real life voleyball. I wasn't interested at sports anime before Haikyuu at all, and I gotta say it's second best anime I've ever watched (other one is FMA: Brotherhood). And after this anime I actually started to watch real games and I'm totally hooked to volleyball, sometimes when I have time I go to play with random dudes that are playing in their free time.
Japanese high school volleyball is taken very seriously. Each prefecture has its own tournaments to decide which team is the best. The best teams from each prefecture go to nationals. Everything is televised and people really love to watch. Japan loves it’s volleyball

The reason there’s so much hang time is because anime likes to slow things up to make it look more dramatic.
