Reading University charges you for your course - how is that a tax? Most students get a loan for those fees and pay them back. How is that a tax? It's a loan on rates that are much more preferential than they'd get anywhere else.

    The best way to reduce tuition fees is to scrap Student loans.The vast majority of university output is now unemployable in the private sector in terms of pure numbers.Students should pay their own way or be sponsered by a potential employer. If you are good enough, that should not be a problem.

    I'm a relatively skint person and think the budget was a disaster. To be fair Labour students thought they wouldn't have any uni fees so £1k increase may only be small but when they wasn't expecting to have to pay anything so it's pretty huge.

    Wasn't Hodges one of the voices calling out "far right thugs" for referring to the Southport killer as a Muslim terrorist instead of a Welsh man.........bear this in mind when he's spinning this for Labour
