That surf green looks absolutely amazing. I've always loved the big headstock on a telecaster.
As soon as you started writing that riff I said to myself "it sounds like something Maylene and the Sons of Disaster would write", and then you started playing one of their riffs lol.

Fender’s (Not Squier) bread and butter seems to be the higher end MIM stuff/lower tier MIJ guitars.

Lol, when you were working on the demo track, I was wondering if you ever listened to Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Then I guess you heard my mind and snuck in a couple Maylene riffs toward the end there to answer my curiosity, haha.

There will almost definitely be a squire version around the corner for just a few hundred bucks my man. Hang in there, you can have the next best thing soon. I just ordered an affinity tele and it's amazing. Squire has absolutely stepped up their game recently. Only thing it needs is a fret polish, that's it.
So glad you did a review on this cause I saw Fenders video on the new line, and saw this tele and the demo in the fender video was cool and all, but I was still wondering how it does with high gain!
They awhile back made a limited run of these in a black body ... always wanted 1 of the black ones with the trem like this one !!

I also have a thing for surf green. It started about 12 years ago when I bought a surf green Jaguar. Then I bought a surf green lamp, and a surf green/white pillow case for my body pillow. Then I painted my bedroom walls surf green. I kinda have a thing for seafoam green, too. I have three guitars in seafoam green right now, but it ends there... no seafoam green walls or accessories...... yet. Haha.
That Tele is sick tho. Big fan of Deluxes, as well as the big CBS era headstock shape!

I love Fender. They would be my favorite company, if not for their unwillingness to adapt with the times.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand the value they place on tradition, but it would be nice to also have guitars with modern specs. Namely Ss frets.
I am aware that they did this one time on a certain line of guitars, but that’s not exactly filling the market for me.
Oh well, I’ll be fine shopping for unique brands with their own character.
Really wish theyd be doing at least roasted maple on more stuff too tbh. Got a Schecter diamond nick johnston hss for $50 more than a player and its worlds better spec wise esp for me

Well if you are looking to consider Squier, they have some awesome guitars from the contemporary series that push the boundaries of traditional without losing the Fender-ishness. I have the Jag with atomic humbuckers in a sick two-tone blue that transitions gradually. Otherwise, check out Charvels. They are probably more your speed.
They know their market, stainless steel frets aren't a factor for me personally and to be fair there's not much they can do with their guitars at this point that wouldn't drive the cost up even more. At least they aren't Gibson doing the bare minimum and charging premium prices.

I’m kind of low key obsessed with tele deluxes lately. I played one of the American pro 2s and was really into it.
I've got a Classic Series (what Vintera replaced) 72 Thinline Tele with a glossy U neck and I love the shape. The gloss neck will get smoother with play and will feel good. I just played some new gloss necks a few days ago and really showed how much better mine got

Ok so I'm a big Buckethead fan and really would love to own one of his Les Paul's, but they appear to me to be quite hard to find and also extremely expensive. A brand called "10'S Guitars" makes fairly budget guitars and they have a Buckethead Les Paul copy, could you review it? Let us know if it's a good budget alternative? Thanks man, Love your stuff.

I try to only invest in American or “country of origin” made guitars. I scared me when u said your ATD pickups would not chug. Lol.
My buddy has one of the 1st Mexican made thin-lines, we agreed to leave it at home from fear of a fight to play the set with it. Heavy guitar but amazing.

This may not be the right channel for these questions, but I'll give it a try:
1) Are the "vintage" pickups the ones with "Cunife" magnets? I'm asking because real cunife wide-range humbuckers are going for $250 new. I have my doubts about them appearing in a $1200 guitar. Then again, the pickups are different from what previously was being sold as "wide range"
2) Did you try out the whammy?

The tele truly is The One Guitar To Rule Them All. I slept on it for WAY too long. Im super happy to have one now, i just got it uesterday and its amazing. A cheap ass 200 dollar affinity series with 2 single coils, and itll probably end up being my main. Above my Epiphone Matt Heafy Origins 7 string.
I've got the vintera 50s tele (looks a lot like this but with single coils and a smaller tele style headstock) and its absolutely sick. sure this one is amazing too

So for me surf green is my daughters zodiac color, my favorite brand of coffees box color donut shop 4 life , my keurig is also surf green , when i think of surf green combined with guitars and metal i also think of old school zombie movies in black and white and that if you put them in color that would be the color of the zombies

I bought a Meteora HH last year. Like the guitar, but quality was also not the best. Fender do need to work on their QC instead of just pushing out product and doing marketing blitz

@@jmproductions59 Maybe try the Tele Custom…? A tele bridge pickup + a Fender wide range humbucker in the neck (depending on the model and/or how much you’re willing to spend you can get the Squier with the humbucker or the American Vintage II that has the CuNiFe WRHB). Just a thought… Cheers!

I bought the Squire version for me son. The neck is a nice satin finish out the box. I'm seriously impressed with it considering how cheap it is. Also, it's in pink which is cooler than your green 😝
