Aww thank you so much Comments like these mean so much to me. I am super thankful to you Glad you enjoyed it . I hope my future videos also impress you this much
I absolutely appreciate your review and focusing on the details that Aprilia owner would understand. Thank you for showing all the differences/changes properly
Thank you very much , I really appreciate your comment. I truly like this style of showcasing a bike even more than riding because I can truly bring science & progress into perspective and make everyone why something is done in a certain way and how it can benefit us as a rider
Thank you for the kind words John , these mean a lot to me , I still think I could have dug a little deep , I think another short video on the dash and electronics is a must

Got my 2021 base model a few months ago. Mental bike! Thank you for this interest depth review. Also I love the bit at the end about supporting mental health. First rate. 👍🏾
Thank you Lambeth very much , you made the right choice with the base model , I would choose the same and if I go on track I then have the option to upgrade suspension if I feel the stock suspension isn't good enough (which it is lol).. base bike is sensible choice, thanks for watching and appreciating the video
my man. the sight of such collection, the review of the different RSV's across the years with my 1st morning coffee is the best starter i could asks for ....so much that i reviewed the video 3 times just to see all the bikes lined up in all their glory lol. the new 2021 model with the new color scheme lava red is lovely. great review in details of the new bike. we can see your passion for aprilia. the new euro 5 regulation ...that is crazy!!! how much weight does this add to the bike. then, how many more ponies are waiting to be unboxed with a delete-new exhaust.
Thank you so much mate , really nice msg, wonderful of you , I think a Dyno test of this bike will be much awaited by everyone , I will try to make a video on that soon, I am sure the bike will easily be 5 to 8 bhp more , Aprilias are very smooth curved bikes anyways , you never get huge bhp after a remap , its hard to remap these in the first place , also depends on how easy going the dyne is and rear tyre and everything. will definitely do a video on that , good pointer. I think an Akra supplied by the dealer with a Aprilia Akra map should be enough , RSV4 likes less complicated external fuelling help, from experience lol
Absolutely agree mate I once rode a 2008 factory v twin Aprilia and I absolutely fell in love It was like thunder Absolute grunt Absolute sublime torque
Very good review man, I can't wait until they make their way over our way. The lava red is my favorite, saw the rs660 in that color and its stunning. So glad they upgraded that dash it looks fantastic!
Heyyyy good to hear from you mate , hope you are well and safe Yeah I love that colour too It’s even more epic up close Keep doing what you doing mate Good stuff
please, sir, give us a video of this beauty in motion! I cant wait another day! btw, love the way you say „HERE“ 😂 keep up the good work 👍 greetings from germany
I love how you setup the history on why I also think this will be a historic culmination for the RSV. Would've loved to see a little more love the starter, the V-twin Mille. XD Hopefully there will be a Lava Red RSV4 Factory in my garage very soon.
Thank you Matt, if it wasn’t lockdown in U.K. then I would have sourced 2 other bikes, 2 stroke 250 and the original Mille, I just didn’t wish to travel up and down the country with bikes in my trailer then get stopped and get in trouble . I had access to a 250 2 stroke and Mille but I just didn’t wish to tow them from Birmingham to Kent . But thank you very much for appreciating the video , hope more like this , I want to do some proper road bike reviews rather than track only videos
apart of the swingarm,i'm so happy to see aprilia adding the magnetti marelli new 6 axis ecu!!! this will render the bike even more perfect if it's possible.the new larger dash is awesome.easy to read and brighter i guess.this bike has the best ,very best of everything.all hail to aprilia. after seeing this vid,it reminds me why i'm a aprilia die hard fan.
@@snikwadRR yes mate but this is a total revamp of electronics . No more Bosch , it’s Marelli 6 axis race imu built from scratch around everything else, it’s more race orientated and it’s not just a bolt on 6 axis IMU just to keep things for fresh keep sake, the whole 6 axis IMU electronics with lean sensitivity and ABS , slide control are more intuitive, progressive and dynamic and work together in harmony not individually. I noticed before especially in wet, the power would be on and off and jerky even in between corners especially somewhere like Portimao where I struggled with this big time but at a flatter circuit like Silverstone or Jerez, i had no issues Before the electronics were more aggressive, this time they encourage you more to take the piss and they aren’t just to save your ass anymore if things go pear shaped, they work with you to achieve faster times and allow you to really get the back end out and trail brake until the earth stops rotating. I have a really good relationship two dealerships in Germany and Belgium , they have a test mule at the moment so they are loving it
@@snikwadRR The 2017 system is amazing and definitely a one up from my 2016 System , I really think the 2017 bike was a proper lovely upgrade which I was they introduced in 2016 when I bought the bike, any how , its all good, no complaints , just need the skill level to match the ponies lol
@@ChasingTenths of course. Just found your channel and subbed. I moved to America from England last year… I’ve not seen any Aprilia’s so far. I had a 2018 Tuono 1100 V4 Factory. @@Arizona_drones thank you mate for the kind words I come to America once a year I have family in Sacramento Aprilias are rare there but they have a few and increasing U.K. has plenty
Good review, especially to show where it fits in the evolution of Aprilia. Some topics for your track based review; engine breaking, cornering ABS, slick mode. Lack of fuel gauge definitely a missed opportunity, unless the new display can do range. Data logger has been an R1M strength so another topic worth further investigation... Hope to see you at BikersWorld one day...
Thanks mate , I really appreciate it. Yes for sure, I have another 3 videos lined up on this bike . I couldn’t fit everything in that day , I drove from the Midlands to Kent to london to Midlands and I really wanted to spend some time reading the manual before I make any further video because I want to have a deep dive into electronics and dash. There’s hardly any info out on this bike by Aprilia so I really had to dig info out from here there and every where
@@ChasingTenths All good. On Eurofighter Typhoon the aerodynamics and flight controls manage stability electronically so that the divergence can be exploited for crazy fast rate of turn. That allows the pilot to turn inside the enemy aircraft and conserve energy both of which mean victory. However that's dog fighting and most air to air combat is now beyond visual range so radar detection and targeting of AIM-120 AAMRAM missiles. Dog fights are literally last century.
@@ChasingTenths Abhi, thanks for sharing your Aprilia passion. None of this would be possible without freedom so I'm interested in how we safeguard that. I'm lucky enough to live in Kent which aside from Brands Hatch is also where the Battle of Britain was fought by the RAF. That was the turning point in Europe for our freedom from the Nazis. I'm delighted to be in Spitfire country where we hear them fly over. 27 litre Rolls Royce Merlin engine is the sound of freedom even on idle to preserve flight hours out of Biggin Hill. Never have so many owed so much to so few. (Churchill) The few were young men often with just a few weeks training yet brave enough to fight. 🇬🇧 We will remember them..
@@lonpfrb this is such a beautiful comment I read it 3 times Sometimes when we do Trackdays at snetterton and Anglesey We can see them flying the Lancaster bombers and spitfires We truly are blessed here I admire U.K. and the history we have in terms of Industrial Revolution to the spitfires , the Frank whittle jet age and now the amazing tracks we have I absolutely adore it
I'm really excited to start seeing how these compare on the track. My buddy just got a 15 rsv4 and I love it, I'm hoping they didn't lose any of the magic these bring to the track. If my s1000 ever dies off the rsv4 is the next on the list.
I can definitely assure you mate , they would still be the king of race tracks , they haven't lost that ability since 2009 , they never try to over complicate things. For example , they knew they have the best chassis in the business so they changed everything else but not that. Why change something which has been working so so well. S1000 is not slouch mate, enjoy that till it dies, which it would never lol
Nice video! Great to see together so many Aprilia bikes in the start of the video, I have to point out though that the first Aprilia you present is the R version, not the factory one. Different chassis colours, different paint schemes, more carbon are the visual differences.
Yes George , the first Black RSV4 is the R version , I just checked , I did say that but then I repeated to say the V twin is factory and I can totally understand how it can be misheard , I had to watch it twice myself mate lol
@@georgeneofotistos2945 Ahhhh really, sorry mate , I thought it was , my bad , not very good with the V2 , never owned one. I think when I said it was factory , I meant it was loaded with goodies lol , shouldn't have used that word Factory, thank you so much , learnt something new today, thanks for being so nice and educative about it
Brilliantly detailed as usual Abhi! There's no doubt in my mind it'll be a fantastic bike, but unfortunately I think they've gone back in aesthetic terms. The original 2009 bike is by far and away a more attractive and unique looking bike.
Clive, that's a golden point , the 2009 Factory Non APRC is actually becoming a appreciating classic and for all the right reasons , it was a no crap , no complication bike which just delivered power in the most sublime manner and it was very manageable power, wouldn't tie you in knots on track or road
@@ChasingTenths That's so true! I'm sure when I've had a chance to digest the bike a bit, It'll grow on me more. Particularly as you know it'll be a fantastic bike in every dynamic sense. Thanks again for the video mate, always enjoy your enthusiasm.
First off. This is an awesome video. Great history lesson and tons of information. And, 21:24 You may have already corrected this, but the steering damper is adjustable on the screen with the suspension. So, I grade you a 99.9 out of 100.. LOL

hey Abhi How you doing Sir? I just love your reviews, so informative! And yeah Euro Fighter would be a right pig if it wasn't for the computers fitted. Anyway, back to bikes. I love the bike but not everything, there's few bits I'm scratching my head at. The tank looks lower like the 2009 and the tiny 'chopped off' tail I so love has grown a little too much. The best things are those winglets, they look like they were thought of, like when a F1 race car designer puts pencil to paper - love them so much! The dash is now better looking than anything out there, even better than the BMW dash. Love the built into the headlight front indicators too. Mirrors are for the bin on any race bike, be it on or off road.
Some excellent points there Really well thought points Thank you for looking everything in so much detail I think they had to change the ergonomics because taller riders were complaining a lot . The base is very much an RSV4 RF But the over all package now suits the 2021 market I think it will a great success Fingers crossed
Great job Abhi 👍 I first stumbled upon your channel when I was researching some light weight wheels for my Panigale, thanks to your very thorough reviews and weight comparisons I’ve now got a set of carbon BST’s on order from Bikehps! I really like the look of this new RSV4, and great job on this detailed breakdown, but when you do get to ride one of these can you comment on some of the points below please- How do the ergonomics compare to the last model? It looks to be slightly bigger and a less extreme tucked position, bars a touch higher perhaps? Also is there any room under the pillion seat cover at all, enough to get a puncture repair kit in? And finally, I almost bought a 2019 V4 Tuono electronic suspension model and the only thing that stopped me was when I discovered that you can’t change the suspension settings on the fly when the bike is moving? Why on earth not ?? My friends can change the damping on their BMWs while they are moving and this is how electronic suspension should be, if I have to stop the Aprilia to change suspension mode, all my mates would be a dot on the horizon by the time I sort it out. Can you confirm if the new RSV4 has to stop to change suspension modes please Abhi ? If you can’t change the suspension settings on the move, it renders it totally useless in my book , or the suspension mode should be linked into the engine mode so that they both change together, so if your in race mode, suspension is in stiffest ASC1, Then you hit a bumpy road or rain, so you change the engine map to Sport and the suspension automatically drops to a softer ASC3 setting without having to stop the bike , now that would be really useful 👍 Keep up the good work mate, very thorough reviews and great information
Thank you very much mate , I love BiksHPS , they are absolutely lovely people there. and thanks for appreciating the video , you raise some valid points and very interesting questions , in 6 days time , I will see the bike again , so I will not only read the manual for all the detail questions but look into the ergonomics too. @@ChasingTenths Thanks for that Abhi, I’m an old Luddite and don’t do “Facetwitt” and all that stuff, can’t be bothered with it! I’ll follow your progress on here once you get your hands on the bike again, if you only answer one question for me please it’s the one about changing the suspension on the move, because if you can’t change it...for me, I would just buy the base model R and put a nice set of wheels on it and save myself 3 grand on suspension that only works when you’re stopped 😂😂! I’ve done the same with my Panigale, I rode it for a few weeks when I first got it, ...figured out the modes and settings I liked the best and its been left that way for the last 6 years ! At the moment l own a 2011 model sweetest handling bike hands down. But l have to own the latest model, even just stick it in the lounge room & stare at it. Always been aprilia fan since l had a rs250 2 stroke l want a new factory. Oh well dreams are free.
Honestly Scott I am an Aprilia fan through and through too mate, I never do new bike in-depth talks but I really had to do this one as the bike is very near and dear to me , i am happy to report , most of the dna is still Aprilia , especially the chassis , so when you eventually buy it , it would feel very much like a thorough bred Aprilia RSV4... thanks for watching mate :)
Calvin . You are asking me a question which is probably the most mouth wateringly difficult lol I think Aprilia has always been easy to ride on track and not crazy like Ducati. Ducati is amazing but sometimes it’s overwhelming, I think the version of the Panigale 2020 onwards is a bit easier to ride. Having ridden Aprilia for 5 years on track , I would always choose Aprilia but if I was really getting the most out of the Aprilia and wanting that little bit more then it’s the Ducati. I just think Aprilia is very easy to wrestle on track
Great video and very detailed! To be honest I’m a bit disappointed with the new look, I owned 18’ RF and was hoping they came out with a design that can compete with the Ducati V4S. The new family look just not my cup of tea.
Yes mate I understand The design is a bit marmite for a lot of people but I am sure it will grow on them. I love the 18 RF look more than 17 and 19 but like the 2020 look too, this 2021 will gel in slowly Thanks for watching Really appreciate it
Awesome Vlog as usual Abhi! That 2021 bike is growing on me now! Definitely going to look at one in 2022! Just a tiny detail or two though, did you say it has Slide Control and no Electronic Steering Damper? I'm sure my 2020 has an electronic damper that adjusts automatically with the engine modes and suspension? Slide Control is awesome! I loved that on my R1's!.........Anyway Abhi, you are definitely the best "Real World" Vlogger out there!

Thanks Jeff, really appreciate it mate, apologies couldn’t ride the bike as it’s lockdown and it’s not a dealer bike but I thought presenting this way might give people more in-depth information. Thanks for watching
Great review . Aprilia didn't make a official release, even journalists have not yet had an official invitation to try the motorcycle and talk about it and you bit then all 😉. One question, one the electronic the last option on the dash you say is slick mode (ASC) ON the 2020 the asc is suspension related. Those the bike have another tc for track and slick tires ?
haha , mate I spent 3 days of scouring the internet, searching for more and more and more information , also read a lot of stuff on the 660RS as some of the electronics are very similar. Yes, the Slick mode changes the ergonomics of the bike which gives it more ground hold but you can still change engine braking. Actually , let me make a video on the Dash and electronics , a short one. I might do that this week at some point
This is a very good question, I normally take my Aprilia RSV4 RF on track never on road , I even upgraded the factory ohlins on that model to pure race ohlins. My answer is , So if someone is going to buy the bike only for track then , base model is perfect , then upgrade to aftermarket race suspension and lighter wheels (carbon even) and it becomes a track weapon, if it’s road use only then the factory model is a great tool to show off at the local bikers cafe.
@@ChasingTenths excellent video btw and thank you for your detailed answer. I’m picking up the Factory version tomm. Just curious if you could have this or a bmw s1000rr m package?
@@doncappo1509 ooohh mate , now you are asking a tough one. You see , Aprilia has a wonderful pedigree of pure racing. Especially with tightly packaged bikes. I love that bmw but I still think it’s more of an all around nicey nicey sports bike which does everything wonderfully well but Aprilia is just an out an out racer from ground up. The best example is their chassis, they knew their bike had the best chassis in sportsbike class so for the new model they didn’t bother changing it , why change something which is class leading year on year. They did replace the swing arm as the more torque & power demanded a stiffer under slung swing arm. BMW does everything well, it’s a great road bike & it’s a great track bike but it’s not got the soul of the V4 Aprilia ( forgive me for being a little bias) but trust me I have ridden both & BMW is definitely radical but then that’s just the wonderful German way, they showed is in 2010 & now but so did Aprilia in 2010 & now. I love the fact that BMW give carbon wheels with the bike plus their dash is just unbelievably dynamic but on the otherside aprilia’s wheels are only 400 grams heavier than carbon , I did a video weighing all the wheels (check my TH-cam videos ) and Aprilia had the lightest wheels even compared to After market wheels and the new Aprilia dash is much better now too. I still think Aprilia should have been cheaper plus they should have made it more special with carbon bits here and there but that’s Aprilia for you, they want you to feel great riding it rather than just a show piece. You have made the right choice mate, you will never get bored of the V4 sound .
@@ChasingTenths I appreciate your in-depth comments. I just sold my ducati V4 with arrow exhaust and had an 18 tuono with a graves can and man both bikes give me such a soul stirring experience, visceral even. With that being said I do track days a few times a season (nothing as committed as you ). I agree the price is a few grand more than the new beemer but they both don’t have the carbon bits of a R1M or the fit and finish of say a ducati V4. I just wish I had the resources for all of them :) either way i think I love the Italian pedigree and V4 over the inline BMW.

If you have a 2015-16 RF for example, when you unplug the indicators you wouldn't get the error , however, once unplugged , if you try to put the indicator on by error , you will get a massive error. Only going by experience, some bikes show error straight away , some show when the indicator is turned on in error when they have been taken off.

What a brilliantly detailed and in-depth look into the bike. Absolutely nailed it.
Aww thank you so much
Comments like these mean so much to me. I am super thankful to you
Glad you enjoyed it .
It`s a pleasure to listen to someone this enthusiastic about the bike. Great review!
Thank you Brian, that’s a lovely thing to say. Much appreciated
Great level of detail that you don't see on other channels. Brilliant work as usual Ahbi

Thank you Lambeth very much , you made the right choice with the base model , I would choose the same and if I go on track I then have the option to upgrade suspension if I feel the stock suspension isn't good enough (which it is lol).. base bike is sensible choice, thanks for watching and appreciating the video

@@ChasingTenths I was very happy to take the time. After such a good review, it is the least thing i can do.
my man. the sight of such collection, the review of the different RSV's across the years with my 1st morning coffee is the best starter i could asks for ....so much that i reviewed the video 3 times just to see all the bikes lined up in all their glory lol. the new 2021 model with the new color scheme lava red is lovely. great review in details of the new bike. we can see your passion for aprilia. the new euro 5 regulation ...that is crazy!!! how much weight does this add to the bike. then, how many more ponies are waiting to be unboxed with a delete-new exhaust.
2004 RSV1000 Tuono, still ride it nearly every day. Rode the RSV4s, but the early V-Twin Tuono/Millie’s are the most bonkers and fun rides! IMHO.

Absolutely true , the 6 axis IMU gives so many possibilities , even the cornering lights rely on that , its like a gyro lol.
theyve had a 6 axis IMU for years now
@@snikwadRR yes mate but this is a total revamp of electronics .
I noticed before especially in wet, the power would be on and off and jerky even in between corners especially somewhere like Portimao where I struggled with this big time but at a flatter circuit like Silverstone or Jerez, i had no issues
Before the electronics were more aggressive, this time they encourage you more to take the piss and they aren’t just to save your ass anymore if things go pear shaped, they work with you to achieve faster times and allow you to really get the back end out and trail brake until the earth stops rotating. I have a really good relationship two dealerships in Germany and Belgium , they have a test mule at the moment so they are loving it
@@ChasingTenths ahhh. I see. That's gonna be awesome, because I never had any issues with the old version on the 17.

@@ChasingTenths that’s a good friend for sure.

(Churchill)
The few were young men often with just a few weeks training yet brave enough to fight. 🇬🇧
We will remember them..

We truly are blessed here
I admire U.K. and the history we have in terms of Industrial Revolution to the spitfires , the Frank whittle jet age and now the amazing tracks we have
I absolutely adore it
I'm really excited to start seeing how these compare on the track.
@@ChasingTenths no, I meant the V2 isn't the factory version.

@@ChasingTenths no worries, still an excellent and detailed video with lot's of insight on the new V4!
Brilliantly detailed as usual Abhi! There's no doubt in my mind it'll be a fantastic bike, but unfortunately I think they've gone back in aesthetic terms. The original 2009 bike is by far and away a more attractive and unique looking bike.
Clive, that's a golden point , the 2009 Factory Non APRC is actually becoming a appreciating classic and for all the right reasons , it was a no crap , no complication bike which just delivered power in the most sublime manner and it was very manageable power, wouldn't tie you in knots on track or road

hey Abhi How you doing Sir?
Some excellent points there
Really well thought points
Thank you for looking everything in so much detail
I think they had to change the ergonomics because taller riders were complaining a lot .
The base is very much an RSV4 RF
But the over all package now suits the 2021 market
I think it will a great success
Fingers crossed
Great job Abhi 👍
I first stumbled upon your channel when I was researching some light weight wheels for my Panigale, thanks to your very thorough reviews and weight comparisons I’ve now got a set of carbon BST’s on order from Bikehps!
I really like the look of this new RSV4, and great job on this detailed breakdown, but when you do get to ride one of these can you comment on some of the points below please-
How do the ergonomics compare to the last model?
If you can’t change the suspension settings on the move, it renders it totally useless in my book , or the suspension mode should be linked into the engine mode so that they both change together, so if your in race mode, suspension is in stiffest ASC1, Then you hit a bumpy road or rain, so you change the engine map to Sport and the suspension automatically drops to a softer ASC3 setting without having to stop the bike , now that would be really useful 👍
Keep up the good work mate, very thorough reviews and great information
I’ve done the same with my Panigale, I rode it for a few weeks when I first got it, ...figured out the modes and settings I liked the best and its been left that way for the last 6 years !

most complete review ive seen on YT, would you choose this over ducati 2021 V4S??
Calvin . You are asking me a question which is probably the most mouth wateringly difficult lol
I think Aprilia has always been easy to ride on track and not crazy like Ducati.

@@ChasingTenths I like to see that about electronic package short one lololol
Great video thanks. Ride safe 😜
Thank you very much Flo 🤗
Excellent would you take the base model or the factory
@@doncappo1509 very well summarised comment that mate. You are lucky to have some exotic machines . Have a good 2021 season
sat one today and fk I cant get over it. I am in process of saving
Hope your dream comes true mate, it's a stunning bike. I still have a 2015 RSV4 RF but I would also love the 2021
would love to see a comparison of the 2021 rsv4 and the rsv4 1100 to know the key differences.
I was thinking of having the two bikes side by side and doing that , so watch this space, I will definitely do it
@@ChasingTenths Fantastic! Really enjoy how you cover so many details and anxious to see what you find that differs between 1000 and 1100 to know whether there is enough to justify the significant price difference. Thank you. You're awesome!
@@johnnydaly8963 thanks Johnny. I am so grateful for this lovely comment , honestly stuff like that Spurs me on , give it about 30 mins and I am just uploading a 15 min video on the track test of this bike. You would really find that interesting
Is that your gerage? I like it. I think I'm going with this design Idea for mine.
Thanks TJ but it’s my good mate’s garage who owns that Aprilia , very secure and remote control controlled . I quite like it myself

Fantastic Review....
Thank you very much
Awesome review shame he John didn't have the early v twins. I opened both mille r and sp awesome bikes in the twisties
Yes mate, he only that that V twin in particular
Thanks for watching and appreciation
Love it😍
Thanks mate , very much appreciated
@@ChasingTenths Great in depth review.
mmm, I never get an error when i unplug my mirrors.
@@ChasingTenths here's the thing tho. If it's unplugged. Why would you hit the turn signal. Lol.
Love the video
Thank you Angel very very much
Heated grips?
No Ricardo, no heated grips unfortunately
Thanks for watching
Cool gerk fest, very professional video. Thanks
Thanks Paul , much appreciated
Very kind of you to comment ☺️
If the paint scheme was as good as this review, Aprilia wouldn’t make enough bikes to satisfy demand.
Haha nicely said mate
You are actually might be right
Rumours are that they aren’t building too many of these bikes
So let’s see
Still no official review from any of the big magazines but people have started to take deliveries of the bikes now
Can you reach the ground? That looks like a pretty tall seat for you...
I am 174 cm / 5 feet 8 and I can touch the floor , 40 percent of my foot touches the ground, but not totally flat touch on the floor. You are right , it’s is a little high
But it’s very similar to before
Thank you for watching
Gorgeous.
Thanks 🙏🏼
@@ChasingTenths not you, the bike!
Haha :-)
@@Bow-to-the-absurd hahahahahaha I know mate , I knew you meant the bike 😂😂😂
14:35 - "the swingarm counters any unwanted flex"... no swingarm could counter the flex that this bike is...
No problem Jonathan.
Understood
@@ChasingTenths I'm a bit confused now...
the comment was meant as a joke, a word play so to say, with "flex" meaning that the bike is quite a nice piece to have and while the swingarm could counter regular (mechanical) flex, it couldnt counter that kind of flex :D
Very good video btw, watched all the way through it!
@@xXPvPSkillerXx sorry Jonathan
I do apologise mate
I was driving earlier
And I hate when I don’t reply to a comment
I thought you meant that as a advice but now it makes sense lol
Apologies for the confusion earlier

7:25 the absolute reason why people these days prefer form over function.
Yup , to an extent that’s very much true 🤫
I'm not a fan of matte paint finish. Hope they make other colors available later.
Absolutely agree, it’s a very difficult paint to keep at its best & maintenance... I think they will definitely introduce more colours for sure
Thank you for watching
No fuel gauge. Not good enough for a bike costing this much.
Absolutely agree mate , I just don’t understand why the Aprilia 660RS can have the fuel guage but not this bike. It’s Mind boggling
Thank you for watching
"because race bike" 😉😅
Aprilia + other exhaust✖
Aprilia + sc project ✔
Hahaha 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽
what about akrapoviC bro?
@@rjtastic personally I am a huge advocate of Akrapovic because Aprilia spend so much time and money with Akrapovic In R and D in and out of circuits. I have always stuck with akrapovic but in the end it’s a personal choice for a lot of people
I don't know man... I think the older ones look better. Especialy the 2016 RF looked brilliant. It works for the 660 though. But as I've already said I don't like the schemes on their 1000ccm.
Yes Dave, I definitely tend to agree, I am biased towards 2016 RF as I own that.
I really think with time people will start to like this particular model but the true hardcore Aprilia RSV4 current owners will really take a long time to like this bike
@@ChasingTenths Jap, I think so too. But I absolutely envy you for your RSV4 and even the CBX Cafe Racer you had. 🤩😅😎👍
@@NinjaKid1985 yes mate I loved that cafe racer but it had to go , the thump of the engine wasn’t enough to trigger my heart , I need Moto guzzi project now , 1000 cc minimum
@@ChasingTenths 😄 Ok, Yeah when you are used to powerbikes everything else feels just slow. Unfortunate. Good luck for a for a project like the Moto Guzzi. Sounds great! 😎👍

Great video thank you ⁽ ´ᵕ`⁾
Thank you 🙏🏼 very much
I really appreciate the feedback
Ohhh my god why did Aprilia do that to us in the USA 😫😫😫 couldn’t they just keep the LED turn signals on the head light
It’s absolutely crazy I know but it’s American rules and legislation which forces Aprilia to do this otherwise every company wants to cut costs and not have to make two types of indicators for the same bike lol
@@ChasingTenths do you know if there will be a way to revert it and have it the EU models?
@@elreydavid96 yes mate, already had a look through , there will be an ECU hack for it .. so watch this space
@@ChasingTenths awesome thanks
even worse in Canada - they make it so the lights are on low beam - ALL the time.
Sadly, by showing the beautiful 2009 version, it really highlights how bad the new paint schemes are.
It’s definitely a love or hate scheme . Let’s see if it grows ok people. The black and red looks amazing though
Yeah here in America it sucks. Emission laws suck and now can't get cool blinkers.
haha , its ok mate , same here , we are getting some new kind of green fuel now and electric bikes are getting preference. I think we are still living in a bit of a golden era, before the doom and gloom. lol... most of my family live in America so I totally understand your sentiments
Lol. Emission rules are tougher in europe. Unless you're in cali.
@@snikwadRR Modt of my family live in Sacramento mate so I know exactly what you are on about lol , California is a strict state , my brother bought that Ford 450 or something , the biggest one with double tyres at the back , if you had that in Europe , people would stare at you constantly lol
@@ChasingTenths there are a few dually trucks in europe. I've seen them. It's comical on the narrow euro streets. Lol
But yeah. Things like tüv and how so many countries actually actually have to stick to the euro3, 4 or 5 emissions and noise standards and all that bs. Tüv is the worst man.
@@snikwadRR yes mate , totally agree with you
The Swedish love the American trucks
My goodness they absolutely drool over them
Integrated turn signals for UK and not the US!?.... That's track reason is BS....we got tracks too 🤷🏾♂️
I know mate , I totally understand what you mean , I did some digging on that , basically the US regulations do not allow Motorbikes to have LED indicators built into the headlights as it does prevent the on coming traffic from seeing them clearly . I understand why they have done it not it is what it is unfortunately
Thanks for watching mate
@@ChasingTenths yeah these regulations are weird, like car turn signals aren't built right next to the headlight.... it's the same thing

@@ChasingTenths I have a 16 RF and love it.
@@MrMurphc13 me too mate , same bike . I love it too . No complaints at all
I think they cheapened it..
Good point , let me tell you which items I thought looked quite cheap : clip ons , Rearsets , the switches I think are made in the piaggio scooter factory as they are owned by piaggio, they are better than before but still could have been better , the coolant hoses and clamps are cheap ... I think Aprilia knows that loads of people will change these parts especially clip ons and Rearsets so they don’t bother . Overall the bike feels really well made, the finish is good , the welds are clean , the plastic is thick and sturdy , the feel of the plastic when you flick it , it’s dense and very opaque. Overall I think it’s better much than before
@@ChasingTenths Ill reserve my final thoughts until I see one in the flesh - but from what you have said looks right about 'parts cheapened'
