Yeah I know Rotten Tomatoes audience score of like 93% but a critic score of 44 percent. For those Critics on Rotten Tomatoes are garbage... they give Dave Chappelle 20% when the audience gives it like 88%. They are absolute trash..
To me this show highlighted how having television written almost solely from the West and East Coast has failed badly, I grew up in Detroit Michigan, The accuracy on this show is insane
@DangleSan agreed. Not everyone is from the major coast city's. I'm in South Jersey and Shane is from that area in the show which is like 2 hours from me. And that's how we talk and act.
Reminded me of the first season of the office where the characters are still finding their roles. Stavros was hilarious. I’d give it like an easy 7/10. It’s funny and easy to watch.
Been a few days and I gotta say I’m kinda hoping for more of this show. With the season being so short I can’t help but feel they were really playing it safe because they had to set a groundwork for what to expect out of the show. Idk I see the potential and I hope they develop it further because with this style of irreverent comedy, if they jump the shark it’ll be interesting to say the least.
He is a comedian named Brian Six who was ostracized from the Philly comedy scene for stealing well over 10K from his former friend and podcast partner Ryan Shaner. He was close friends with Shane and Chris and them but they have all pretty much cut ties with him
Gives me it’s always sunny in Philly / the office early season vibes. It certainly is far from a 10/10 but there is some real potential for something awesome here with season 2 confirmed. 7/10 IMO
They should have reused the pilot I watched episode 1 and was trying to get my dad on board and even I wasn’t on board and I love Shane. That being said the nerdy dude who owns the store is a hidden gem
Solid review brother. I will admit I'm a huge Gillis fan but I thought this worked on that basis of mindless level comedy that we are sorely missing. It felt like a mix of the movie Waiting and the TV show Party Down. I think any one who works in retail, service or blue collar industries will undoubtedly relate to this and find it funny.
I love Shane. It’s very Shane. Overall it’s okay but I still like the light hearted story but also had a little heart to it as well at the end. I think it has a lot of room to grow. I also enjoyed my time.
It gives me similar vibes to the dry humor of Corner gas (only more politically incorrect), and the same kind of focus on the banal side of life. To me, this is a good thing. Found it funny. Hoping season 2 has more episodes in it than the first season.
I watched all 6 episodes last night and thought it was pretty funny. As you said, if you don't like that kind of humour it's not going to work for you but I'm down with it.
I dont think itll ever be a GREAT show, but it definitely hit for me. Watched all 6 episodes in one sitting. I love Shane Gillis' humor and im excited to see what they do with this show in season 2
We needed comedy like this, we had it for awhile with Judd Apatow and then that went away. But it has swung to the momre right side of the aisle I guess now? Very telling of the times if you think about it.
My wife and I enjoyed this so much! I have a short attention span so these episodes were perfect. The expressions themselves that Will and Shane make are hysterical!
Im a HUGE fan so my opinion is Bias. But ...... Id say its 22 minute run time really makes it SO digestible. I laughed outloud for sure a few times but overall very happy with it and i hope they pump more episodes out fast.
Hey Austin looking forward to the podcast man! You’re my favorite and most trusted movie guy, and I’m excited to see you enter the podcast sphere! Best of luck!
I thought ep 2 was really great. But ep 1 was terrible. The rest was about average. I think maybe if they hire a couple writers this show has real potential. But I don’t care about O Connor or Gerbies.
I don’t think it is a good show. I thought some of it was funny but the plot wasn’t enough to keep me around. I get that the plot shouldn’t be focused on as much as the comedy but honestly I can’t say this show is even better than family guy.
It's for sure for a specific type of person with a specific type of humor. Hey, glad someone is willing to make shows for that audience these days. Even if that means it has to be rated TV-MA.
Loved this show. This whole bit about the shipping containers and Epstein Island was so funny my wife who was trying to sleep, burst out laughing to the point she had to get up and watch the rest of the show with me.
I enjoyed it! I want a season 2. My favorite bit was when the old mechanic guy died underneath the car and they blamed gerbies for kicking him to death 😂
I was disappointed. Seeing the other comedians in it ruined it for me. Schulze is the biggest douche bag in the world. They're not good actors. Would've been way better with Shane and people who could act.
I have worked in an auto shop, a kitchen and currently a lumber yard and this show is reminiscent of all of them, so relatable
Quick question employees allowed to smoke inside the auto shop because I don't think that's a good idea?

Just trying to get these women into this shipping container.
It's not easy as you'd think... they're reluctant.
I just watched the whole thing and I thought it was probably the best show Netflix has put out in a while.
Yeah I know Rotten Tomatoes audience score of like 93% but a critic score of 44 percent. For those Critics on Rotten Tomatoes are garbage... they give Dave Chappelle 20% when the audience gives it like 88%. They are absolute trash..
The first episode had me worried, but it got so much better after that. Loved it by the end and was left wanting more.
Mediocre at best. Don’t let your fan boy mentality taint what is clearly not that good
@user-rl9bf1jr8i oh please.. looks like we got a little Jelly Bean in the building
@user-rl9bf1jr8i that's what I figured it was
The worst part about this is that it’s only six episodes 22 minutes each😢
Second season already confirmed
After the last episode I felt sad that it was already over.
The best part is they can easily make a new season every year
Shane funded the show himself. No massive budget like other shows. That says a lot. Props to them for pulling off a hilarious DIY show.
Stop spamming this on every video. You're talking about the TH-cam pilot they did. This is on Netflix, a separate show funded by Netflix.
@@michael5654 he funded all the episodes. He has said it on multiple podcasts.

The accuracy of how a group of men who do physical labor acts is on point. I know every one of those characters irl.

Been a mechanic 25 years. This show is pretty accurate. Most shops aren’t nearly as slow as Valley Forge.
Bro stop looking at my left ear. IM SELF CONSCIOUS
The critics hate it.... so its probably the funniest show of all-time
The way Gerben says Shane gets me every time 😂
I was a general manager of a pizza place once the vibes this show gave brought me back to being 21 and traying to run a fucking place lol
Reminded me of the first season of the office where the characters are still finding their roles. Stavros was hilarious. I’d give it like an easy 7/10. It’s funny and easy to watch.
Good comparison
I honestly thought the same thing watching the first episode in particular. real office vibes for sure.
10/10 even unpolished as it was

The only thing i wished they added, was from the pilot, the guy waiting for his car that Said "she's hot af" i wish that guy came back for the show

I 100% agree, without Steve Gerben i think his name is the show would be SO POINTLESS
The gruel king rises!
Watch the old episodes of Shane’s and Matt’s podcast where he’s the guest, the interactions they have are very similar to the show and it’s so funny
Sexxual hitman
I don't think it's perfect but I can see this series improving overtime like the office did.
As a person who's almost always worked in a shop, the series is absolutely relatable, and that's what makes it funny.

It’s objectively funny

This show was very good, and I am so glad that more seasons are in the works.
It's mildly funny, but the big laughs were sparse. Overall, not terrible, not great.

No boundaries need to be pushed... It just has to be funny.
Thanks for the update… I’ll give it a go 👍👍👍
This show is so dang funny to me!! Only 3 episodes in. I enjoy it in the same way as Brooklyn 99. I’m a woman with a pretty wide range of humor.
I thought it was funny as hell it’s really how a lotta mechanics n blue collar guys talk at the shop
Honestly just shows that Netflix does indeed have a diverse cast of shows and movies

Gerbs stock is about to rise. He's better than that weird kid from Bad Kids... I forgot the name... Michael Serra
Bad Kids? 😂 it was Superbad. But we know what you’re talking about. Gerbies definitely pulls the show together.
Why was gerbin the best part of this?
Because he is a great actor
