Speaking for myself, all I wanna see now is this rig in action on DCS. Even as it stands now it would be neat to see. Working through the kinks to make the software side of everything work with this hardware is a series in and of itself and I’d enjoy seeing that. As always, great work 🫡
Waiting on bullshit Amazon to late deliver the gyro unit for SRS software chair tracking. The yaw software sucks for me. I have to re-extract the files every time to even open the program. Total BS. Plus been quite busy lately with life. The missing chair also has arrived. It's in the box. I'll do a video of the whole shooting match as soon as I get everything delivered and put on. Overhead wiring is vastly improved as well. It takes time man. I'm a busy dude. I'm tryin' 🍻.
Yeah man! I got my chair and have not had any luck getting it to work like it should. Idk. If you had DCS before u got the chair, but I did. I can’t get any of my planes to work. Idk if I have to buy them again through yaws game engine??? So frustrating!!! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm wondering if you can use two controllers for motion compensation if that would be better? I have two index controllers I won't be using anymore since the Pimax Crystal is coming soon, so was thinking I could use the old Index controllers on each side like you have mounted there. That way the base stations can track on both sides and never have anything in the way to block tracking. I'm just not sure if two are trackable for motion comp?
I too had the same thoughts, but think about it, from a perceptual standpoint, if you were the software. Two controllers would hypothetically move independently very slightly because they would be in different locations and jiggling at a slightly different rates, if not perfectly still. That would cause the software to be receiving two sets of motion data that are slightly different. So the software would need to be programmed to average those two or it would screw it up. I do not know if it has that capability or if it's even necessary really. One could look in the steam VR chair tracking recognition settings area and see if there are options for more than one tracker. That should give you an answer. In an unrelated idea, the other thing I thought of was to recharge the left controller directly on the throttle. You could magnetically attach a small cell phone charging battery and a very short USB-C cable and you can extend your battery power on your controller to effectively infinity just like I have my mouse mounted. Or better yet, I'll run a USB cable from the chairs USB ports to the controller. Just need charging power. No hotas signal. They do have power. Boom done!!!!! 🤯✊🏼
@@TitaniumDR1 I'm also wondering if you might have been able to just buy a powered usb hub with like 10 ports and stick that over the usb ports that don't work? Wouldn't that reduce the wires to just one (at least as far as periperals) going from the hub to the pc?
@@justaguydoinstuff Possibly another usb port would work. But I don't like the idea of all those different signals going through one line. Theoretically it should work right? But in reality, things are better separated. Pick your poison. 🤷
I wonder if a usb hub, powered by the chair, could transmit all the HOTAS data to the PC via a Bluetooth transmitter? PC has Bluetooth. No idea if that's possible. But if it was....oh man.... that'd be far simpler. 🤔

I saw in your video, that is a white cable under the Rotation, my USB hub doesn't work either, so how you connect it? And I noticed that your white cable connect a adapter with your computer. Please show how you set it up,. Thank you.
You could just hard mount a black pipe to the black metal yaw base using two floor flanges and two elbows. You would need two sections of pipe, one about 6 in, one about 3 ft. Make it about 3 ft tall, and put your tracker on top of that. That would be stiff. YAW base> floor flange> elbow out> 6" pipe> elbow up> 3 ft pipe> superclamp> tracker. I bet that would work well. The 3D printing options are endless too.🤔
Embarassed Kickstarter backer here everyone says we've been scammed. Since we aren't TH-camrs or giving them money now. Were just the ones that helped get this started and probably won't ever get what we paid for only empty extension promises. Now new buyers don't even have to pay before they send it out. I'm sure a lot of us would be willing to pay the difference to get a unit. I'd even accept a partial refund. But this is the way this company treats the people who made it all possible.
Yeah dude it sucks. I don't know what to say about that. Other than they bit off more than they could chew right before the pandemic and the economy took a giant shit. I think they business planned for low interest rates and continued low cost of production. They started up the Kickstarter and then all of the backers locked in at a "way below cost for them now" price. I would imagine it was not intentional and would take a hell of a nostradamus to see it coming ahead of time. But they do need to sell units to keep the doors open. So they can eventually build these for you. If they shut down you're screwed. So sales are a good thing for you in reality, even though you're not that sale. Chicken and egg. Shitty deal all around.

I bet you money if we got together all the kickstart backers and started something they'd think twice about screwing us. I fell in love with the idea but now I want a divorce. Lol

You should add a G-seat like the GS-5. That can help simulate continuous g-forces much better.

No chair yet but I plan to use a usb 2.0 extender via ethernet or you can raspberri pi it wirelessly like superman217 did
