Thanks,You helped me diagnose the exact same problem I am having on my 2006 Mercury Milan 3.0. you are very through on all the correct areas to look at for the problem. To bad Ford did not own up to their problem with the PCM's.
long story short got new coils and plugs got the pcm rebuilt got anew battery checked all the relays and fuses and still not getting any power not even to the fuse as far as i can tell , my milan is the 2008 variant. there are no codes, but the check engine light is on and flashes 8 times thats due tot he PCM reset from this car sitting around, i replaced the camshaft position sensors to eliminate that. i'm thinking i either have the imobilizer enabled or the key needs a new battery at this point.
I have a 2010 Dodge Caliber that’s been misfiring off and on for months. I replaced the coils and plugs, it ran perfect for about a month with a skip only once, then it eventually got worse. I kept getting a misfire code for cylinder one.. to rule out a bad coil and diagnose a fuel injector issue, I swapped coils for cylinder one and two. Still have a misfire in cylinder one, but now cylinder four is misfiring as well. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor, and the PCV valve, STILL misfiring. I’m ordering a PCM module today, to see if that fixes the issue.
@@dislikebutton1105 I took it to the dealership, my battery cables needed replacing or repairing. Crazy thing is, when I got it towed there, the car started & was able to backoff the tow truck, I guess because the battery shifted. It was also something else.
I have a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr had bad o2 sensors I replaced all them now the light came back on it I had autozone read the code for it it say too rich in bank 1 bank 2 bank 3 and bank 4 but no codes saying o2 sensors or any thing eals now I am stumped on what is wrong with my car it still has a rough idel too and I also replaced all my spark plugs and coils and coil leads and replaced all fuel injectors and fuel pump as well it has slightly over 175 thousand miles on it too
Sean Hooligan its still the same pcm, they just repaired it. But yes it worked flawlessly. Link in description. In the video I diagnosed it, and it could of only been the pcm. Worked fine and car has been since Sold.

Bill Clayton glad to help. I feel like there should be a fuse or relay or something to protect the ecu, the ecu shouldn’t get damaged.

If you just get your PCM Repaired instead of replaced do you still have to have parameters reset and have your keys reset to the PCM by a locksmith?
hiker64 no. Repaired, you put it back in. And the car works like nothing ever happened, once you replace that coil
