I love the fact that you can still see the black base so clearly while the green and gold shines at the extremes with the subtle blue to get the in-between lizard color. I would put this on my car.
I’d love to see this on a swatch board of colors…. Like I want to see what this does on top of yellow, blue, green, grey, purple, white, AND just because it could be cool or a disaster, PINK! Like perhaps the pink might bring out more of the purple and gold?
I was just thinking “i wonder what other color bases would look like with this. There’s such a wild and vibrant shift in colors it would be a sin not to try different base colors.
This is flat-out giving me dragonfly, rather than unicorn, vibes. 😁😁 I'd love to see more of a blue-ish colorshift with the holographic edge, but the green is pretty eye-catching, too. 4/5, would defo give it at least one test drive. 😁

Love this one! 10 out of 5. Has all my favorite colors to the base, and the holographic freaks out with different colors mixing in all over, but doesn't overwhelm the base shift. Perfect.

Definitely a 5. Normally I wouldn't consider color changing paints, but I'd rock this color on my vehicle.
5/5 Love green, but super picky about my green. Good green shades that shift to blue with more subtle rainbow hints. This is great.
This is straight fire. They nailed that pearl. Tons of sparkle, high color shifts, and somehow subtle blending at the edge. The black base definitely helped this.

That is honestly the most sparkly pearl I think I’ve ever seen in my life!! Very nice shifts, didn’t see a ton of gold but that’s not to fault it. I’d love to see this over Nardo Grey as I mentioned before, but especially in Slate Blue. I think this would really pop like crazy over a Slate Blue, no matter what Gabe thinks, lol!!

I'm going with a 5 on this one! I love the subtle dark from a distance, then all the color explodes in your face when up close! I'm digging it! But... I would like to see something like this where a vibrant red is the main instead of green, and oranges and yellow take the place of the blues and purples.

any chance you could spray some of the leftovers onto a speed shape with a half dark green half gold base? perhaps it would put a pleasing subtlety to the color shift or enhance the gold bits in the colorshift?
Looks like something that would work well on the deck of a bass boat. @dipyourcar how does the dip hold up to being exposed to water long term? If ya don't know, might I suggest you test and find out? Might just open up a whole new market.
I'm always a sucker for dark green/blue. Despite being a little too sparkly for my taste I'd still strongly consider it; 5/5. I'm always curious what the texture is like with some of these pearls, though. Feel that's something that should be commented on as applicable.
I'd love to see the floor by the work bench where all the paint drips off the mixing sticks.

I see it as if I could dip my finger into the paint and have the color on my finger.
4.5. This one has the shades of green that really pop for me. The sparkle/flake I thought was going to be too much but it really isn't and it adds to the pop. The green to blue shift is great. The shifting shades of blue are great. Very subtle gold shift.
Almost exactly what I was going to say. The green and blue are really nice but it does look like someone went overboard with the metallic.
I want to see this with red as the primary color... hint hint nudge nudge..
as far as the particular coat goes.. pretty epic. i can see every quality the description implies.. i give this one a 5/5

I don't know reminds me of those old dune buggy's on those carnival rides only saw 2 main colors green and blue with green being dominant ! I give it 3 out of 5 .

5. Normally don’t like the pixely flakey look but the effect on this is pretty satisfying to look at. Great color choices in the shifts too.

Definitely love the colour shift - 3.5 - 4 out of 5 -but calling it “Rainbow unicorn” misleading- needs more colours to be called Rainbow 🌈 (just my opinion,maybe Ocean waters would have been better)- shout out to the company who sent it to you to try it ❤

Peacock colors--amazing colors.1st thought was peacock before it was put on the car and I still see the shift of a peacock opening for display.

I bet the car is way more sparkly than the camera shows. I absolutely love it. This is what I would put on my 4runner. I love the dark rainbow effect. 10 out of 5 for me. Let me know when you start or if you start selling this one.
I do enjoy all these videos. But I still feel like nothing truly compares to the original Mystic paint that first appeared on the Ford Mustang.

Very dense, from a distance almost looks like a solid colour but then the glitz gets you up close. I like it. A definite winner for anyone wanting to be different.

One of my favorites! The extra sparkle is really special, but the cooler tones keep it less intense, in my opinion. My favorite color is aqua blue, so that doesn’t hurt, either. 5/5!
I'd be interested to see what a half load turns out by comparison. The dense packing of the flakes makes it look textured-I'm curious if less concentration would even it out into a smooth layer or if it would just look more like scattered starlight.
Surprisingly, I actually really like this one. It shifts to a darker color which keeps the car from looking tacky yet it’s wild at the focal point. 5/5

it looks like a "june bug" shell. Which despite their annoying noise and hovering and affinity to want to try to constantly smack into you are absolutely beautiful.

4 - one of the best shifts you’ve had on this show. Definitely also holographic.. rainbows everywhere. But I prefer a smooth textured shift. Glitter is too ‘kid’s toy’ for me.
I liked it, ALTHO, th diff colors were more apparent on th finger test. That made me hav high expectations. That didn't seem to pop thru on th car. Lots of greens & golds & sparkles. I"d put it on my 2017 VW Golf.

Rating it a 5. Love the Green to Blue, but didn't see much purple/gold. Plus, I think 10g per gallon was a bit much. I'm thinking 7.5g per gallon would have better. Overall I would have to say I like it. Not sure if I would put it on my 2007 SRT-8 Charger, but I would on my 73 Charger.

I think that's sick! It looks like a normal pearl from a distance, but when you get closer you can see that holographic look to it. I really like this pearl!
Whoa, this just popped up in my feed and I watched in curiosity BUT I REALLY like that color and I'm going to check into redoing my 2016 Subaru BRZ with it. My car is dark blue so I wonder if I dare use the unicorn paint as is on it and not the black
Love the results rate 5. I have a challenge that you guys always find interesting, and so will the fans. I have a suggestion which might be a game changer challenge which you all will love. I own a 2001 Volkswagen GTI VR6. It is clean as a whistle hasn't seen any snow, ice, rain, unexpectedly sometimes when im out far from my garage. And no rust whatsoever. There are so many curves edges, and it's a hatchback. I also have a lot of different body modifications. Hood Fender side skirts rear bumper with diffuser etc... I would really love to see what you guys would do with a car like mine. Also, you can use mine as a completely different new project, and I know you guys love how everything will look afterward. I'm being serious. I will donate my car. You guys pick the color. Let's make it happen.
Nice overall but you should have listened to the guy that sent i! Had you used less powder the effect would have been more subtle and leave you looking for the changes which I think is the idea behind these paints. To make you see what the creator imagined,get some more and use 5-10 grams and see if the effect is closer to its title,still a good 4.5 / 5, but I think less would be more! Your the professional,what do you think? I did an Alfa 156 RC car in a similar colour and because I sprayed it lightly I got way more than was shown when I purchased it,one day I'll go again and see if I can get the same result! Love what you do tho,always a good finish,oh and the pearl over white was sublime!
Ok hear me out Fonzi......dark silver base with a mixtire of the same dominating pearls/shifts (i.e. all red would be my pick) 5 grams maybe 10 for some that wont shine that much. But just to see how adding the same dominant color pearls/shifts adds to the factor of bringing out more of those colors. Like can you get..... say 5 reds on one car but also let that dark silver pop through 🤷🏾♂️
It's definitely different I love myself. I did my 2004 ford ranger. Basecoat was jet black with Kamen Blue flake and Purple/Green shift flake. Turned out pretty kool
I think you over did the mix, you should have used the 5 - 10gms per gallon as instructed by the people who devised and made the recipe!

I'm not typically a green kind of guy, but the way this goes from green to blue to purple and then the subtle holographic rainbow right at the transition...genius! 5 for me, I'd drive that!
OMG, I LOVE that, so far my favorite (just found the channel about 6 cars ago). I am dreaming of picking up an adapted van (wheelchair) and doing something like that on it, with the wheelchair maybe having covers and such to match (omg, paint it and add brass powder coat to the metal on the chair?) Oh yeah, matching wheels, love the idea. Gotta remember this one!!!
@dipyourcar Can you please do a two tone job, For example the 2023 Toyota Camry XSE V6 comes with a Black roof, Some do not get the black roof. I want to add a Plasti-dipped roof to my car, But I thought How can I dip my whole car in black, and then mask off the roof, to dip the rest in like a black too blue hypershift, and then later top coat the black roof with just clear. I can't wrap my head around this, because at one point you'll have to mask the roof to avoid getting pearls on the roof.

This is some huge flake. Like frosted flakes size flake. It's not bad looking I guess but it's big. Does it lay well? It looks like it could add a little texture because of it's size. I'd rate it a 3-5. Probably wouldn't use it on any of my cars but it's not a throw away. Thanks for another great video. I do agree with one of the other comments though. It would be nice to see how some of these flakes are made. Especially something like this rainbow unicorn..... Rainbow Unicorn!😂
All I see with the final product is, lots of green (good) with too much of a golden hue and way too much of a diamond-ish sparkle. The blue and purple shift is almost unseen, it's there but barely. *1.5/5* (Get rid of the gold, make it silver with less flakes and try of fix the sparkle factor).
I give it a 2.59, just over the fence by a leg. Maybe if I saw it in person... I'm curious if a lower load with more coats would give it even more depth? Reminds me of the deep, flaked gel coat on my dad's Tahiti boat in the 70's!
I would honestly give this a 4.5 out of 5. Seems like it’s missing something, but I can’t think of what. Maybe a slightly brighter lime green coloring 🤷🏼♂️
It’s great for a sparkly green (5/5), but the description of rainbow unicorn really sets the expectations high, and it doesn’t achieve (2/5). It reminds me a bit of an 80’s bass boat.

Every once in awhile this channel gets recommended to me and it’s always “didn’t expect this”, “total surprise!”, “we didn’t ask for this”, “totally amazing accident!!” and they always end up looking the exact the same. This is the clickiest of clickbait channels there is.

Their description is correct, yet it really doesn't cover all the wow factor going on. It's like trying to describe something using only buzz words and jargon of the trade. This looks absolutely like this car has been dipped in scarab carapaces. It looks spot on metallic at distance. I'm not as fond of the sparkle up close, but that may just be the camera trying to pick up everything close up. On the whole, 5/5. It's definitely in my range to consider for on my car.
Before video: I absolutely love bright vibrant and full coverage....if I'm ever going to dip my car i want it to stand out and scream look at me not be subtle. I'll come back with my rating. After video: I'd like a little brighter of all color but judging it for what it is solid 5/5. That blue that came through on the far away pull in shot was pretty awesome and I love the coverage and heavy flake.
I always watch these with my 5 year old daughter. As soon as she hurd rainbow, her eyes lit up. Then when you said rainbow unicorn she went nuts lol. She gave it a 10 (yes she is only 5 lol) and asked mummy if she can have it on mummies black car. Me, 3.5 maybe 4. I think with a weaker pigment load it would bump the score up.

I'm going a full 5/5 for the colour shift and 7/5 for the colours. However... like the galaxy, needs a redo using the suggested 5 to 10 g per gallon. Up close, a wee bit too sparly.
While this is probably too over-the-top for most car owners, as a guitar builder I LOVE crazy paints like this!!! ☮❤🎶
Huh! That's exactly the color shift on my Honda! I think they call the color midnight blue. It's like this but with maybe 1/4 of what you used on this car. Very subtle effect.
