I'm surprised you gloss over the armoured military police unit, as I don't think I've seen one of them before. Especially if it gets the larger control area that the L35 leader tanks get, it could be a great asset for fortifying those disheartened unit lines.
I completely overlooked it but definitely could be an interesting addition to a battlegroup that focuses on disheartened units.
Definitely an incredibly interesting division. The Infantry tab has so many goddamn flame weapons but very few AT on the Infantry Squads so it's going to be very interesting to see it in action.
The lack of AT though is offset slightly by the presence of all those Stugs and AT guns so it's going to be very interesting to micro.
By interesting you mean work intensive ^^
Interesting combination of infantry and lots of it. Will be interesting how good morale will hold up. And some expensive but neat toys in A. I would definitely take the Flakvierling on wheels as an infantry support weapon that never stays too long in one place.
The "határ - rendőrség" has two separate rs next to each other, at the end of one syllable then the start of the next (border - police, it's a compound word), still doing pretty impressively with the Hungarian in general. Look like a really curious unit to try out tbh.
Actually, most of the deck looks really curious to try out. A lot of interesting and specialised tools, probably pretty brutal and able to do magic in good hands.
Hello all! I've pretty familiar with Axis weapons and the Hungarian FEG-31M is a bolt action rifle capable of ablut 20 aimed shots a minute. Not sure why it has a rate of fire on par with M1 Garand or a G43 lol??? ROF spam i guess.
RoF stat on cards is more related to ammo consumption, in game they are jsut around 10% better than a bolt action rifle
@@Thehellhound100 excellent thank you!
The model & icon in game is of the G43, while the 31M was a conversion of an old straight pull carbine. Certainly no competitor to the WW2 era semi-autos & very different in appearance.
The seemingly fictional Carabina of the Romanians is also incongruous with reality. A shame these glaring inaccuracies have not been addresssed in a game which does such a good job with modelling in most other regards.
@@Rooster---ooo I know this is a really old comment but I looked into the Carabina thing by myself because I've also never heard of it, and apparently it's just the in-game model and stats being weird. It's meant to be a straight-pull Mannlicher M1893 Carbine made specifically for the Romanian cavalry shortly before WW1. It's way too big and the wrong colour in game, but apparently it had a pretty good rate of fire and accuracy in real life too, which is why it was kept in use.
@@rzh9470 I think you're right about the Carbine's identity and the poor icon choice in game. The one that kills me it the Hungarian Solothurn 31M LMG, which is a beautiful weapon but has some sort of MG18 icon I've been pestering Eugen for years to fix these weapon icon placeholders but they aren't bothered :(
The idea that straight-pull rifles are somehow quicker than bolt actions is a bit of a nonsense from the real-life testing I've seen. I guess if you were lucky enough to be issued with a particularly smooth action you would theoretically run the bolt marginally quicker but you still have to aim.
From what I've seen, the Mannlicher M1893 Carbine has a long bolt throw, so you have to move your face out the way (same with the Swiss Schmitt-Rubin). There is also a stiffness to freeing the lugs & re-engaging them, which make is far less smooth.
I'd argue that the Lee-Enfield is BY FAR the fastest firing non semi-auto rifle in game. A very smooth action, which does not require the shooter to take their cheek off the stock. I honestly don't think the straight-pulls are any faster than something kike the Springfield M1903 or Kar 98k. The Mosin would be the slowest but I don't think it makes much of a difference in game terms.
Looks like a solid division. Only the recon tab looks weak. Of the three divisions I've seen so far, they all look potential competative A tier, without being OP (ok Pancelos' Nimrod spam is a little OP)
only this one is really competitive on the axis side, pancelos has a small inf tab without x2 lmg and no special cqc squads + lack of 2km HE while 25g has decent inf but awful air and bad tanks/answers to light vehicles
I think it will take at least 1-2 weeks befor the DLC is released. Or way longer like the last one ^^
Haha I hope not but we will see
Guess I was a bit too optimistic ^^
Has anything changed on this division? One of the others got new tanks.
Brandenburgers are basically german legionnaires, and pretty sure the meta for dfl is to bring all 4 legionnaire cards. Considering how these are even stronger with mg42, semi-autos and raider, pretty sure people will bring all their cards too…
not sure they are the same as the legionnaires as brandeburgers are only germans and no foureign people. legionnaires are host of diffrent people but yeah i see what you mean with how there loadouts are brandeburgers are just better.
No they are not. Brandenburger was the designation for members of a German special unit of the Foreign/Abwehr Office of the Supreme Command of the Wehrmacht during World War II. Their main task included operations behind enemy lines. So it was a special unit which was transformed into a regular army unit in the later stages of the war - the Panzergrenadierdivision "Brandenburg".
The Waffen SS units like the "Wiking" or "Nordland" divisions were legionnaire units.
Only meant same as in loadout…
This is only a better Koruck with so many dishearted infantry squads
20 point for sturmpioneers
25 points for a flamer squad with twice the men
Stumpios still suck.
Feels like 1 card of heavy tanks, protectet from air attacs, could destroy this whole division. I don't want to face IS-2s with this division.
First
A lot of the new divisions units are way way way overpriced.
huh how so? Which one of these are new and which one are overprized? 🤔
@@sd_league No idea what he means, as far as I have seen from you guys' vids all of those divs are rocking a lot of cheap and very cost-effective units to compensate for the capabilities (or tabs...) that they lack
